The cleanest place in TZ. The bathrooms where impeccable. The even have a baby changing table with wet towels and toys. The service was great. The only place that serves a Latte! Must stop by on your road trip!
Massive party with huge speakers blaring out music all night, very noisy church at dusk and dawn.Impossible to sleep. Otherwise a lovely place.
Dirty, stained, old towels, curtains with mould on them, loud and very uncomfortable bed, broken mosquito nets. Food portions are massive and very simple but edible. Would have given 1 star but kind staff deserve another one.

Refreshing pitstop on the way to Dar es Salaam. Very clean and good food. Rooms although not 5 star are very comfortable with all the amenities. AC, WiFi TV.
We used their camping, restaurant, and safari services. The restaurant served very, very good food. I was extremely happy with the food and we didnt find one thing we didnt like on the menu.We booked our safari through Tan Swiss. We were able to leave from our campground in the morning and go to the park. It was nice as they took care of all the paperwork the night before so we could pretty much go right through the gate in the morning and not wait in line. Our guide was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about all the animals and the best places to spot them. We would definetly book with them again.The campground was two small sections. One section was free of ants which I look for. The campground bathrooms were very, very nice. Way better than most in America. The noise at night was the only downside and mosquitos. There were dogs barking, call to prayer, ducks, and highway sounds. So next time I would probably grab a room.Overall we were very happy with our stay there. The place was incredibly well maintained, especially the pool. The kids also enjoyed the toys and few playground equipment.
The costing for extra person in the room I advise to be revised as theyre expensive

Beautiful place, cozy and comfortable. very friendly staff, they have the very good guides & vehicles for the safaris. arranged our night safari and day safari and conducted it in a superb manner. Alex our guide was knowledgeable and explained about the animals and their behaviour very nicely.
Coming from a big city in SA during my stay this was a nice place for a sunday drive and also had a good swimming pool with a place to visit if you want to break away from the community where you stayed and work. Was a good stop when driving to DAR. Food can improve a bit.

If you see the name of the hotel, you expect their service to be excellent. Just went there for food to end our trip. Maybe because Covid 19 hit their business, it seems they don’t put their effort on food service. Coffee was not hot, some drinks on the menu weren’t there, no fresh juice available, prawns dish was so local that we never expected to be in a tourist hotel (plus prawns were too tiny), one potion of kachumbari came with a slice of bread (how?).Also the waitress first said it would take max 35min but in total it took 50min to be served.Apart from that, their chips and beef steak were ok. They provide free WiFi.But all in all, we all regret and hope their service will improve.
Good option for a medium budget safari. Kids friendly. Huge menu variety and good quality food.
This is the second time I have stayed there. This time it was way better, a lot quieter as last time there was loud music from the neighborhood. Food is great and clean swimming pool.
Nice food ambiance and service
Great stopover on the Dar, Mbeya highway. Good camping facilities with hot water and clean ablutions. Nice varied menu in the restaurant. Josef, the Swiss owner us really a superb host. Rooms are very mice but a tad on the expensive side for East Africa standards but very affordable if youre from EU. All round a really great place to spend a few nights ....... and days, lounging next to the pool.
Good as a basis for visiting Mikumi Nationalpark or as an overnight stop on your way on the Tan Zam Highway. War the Rösti, its a Swiss speciality and tastes great 👍🏼
Its so quiety friendly to enjoy accommodation and quality foods they have kids corner and strong wifi to make your stay comfy.Also its good place to organise safarin into Mikumi National Park and responsible cultural tourism to support community and conservation around Mikumi..
Very nice hotel, probably the nicest in Mikumi. Great and clean swimming pool for a relaxing day, friendly staff. Good food and drinks at very reasonable prices.
We were a group of 9 had stopped on our way for dinner food was good but the quantity was of a kids portion. Their was man waiter unwillingly took our order but never served us - we had to search for him fortunately there was a helpful lady waitress with a pleasant personality served us after two hours of waiting

Easily the best place in town. Could not get the rooms unfortunately but visited the hotel and they certainly have a good set up. Food is good. Nice ambience overall
Best spot for a great refreshment
Functional AC and fans. Bed net wasnt big enough for the bed so large gaps. Lots of mosquitos. Pretty bad value for money at $85 for a double, but good location.
Attractive environment and excellent services
Had high expectations from recommendations. Its indeed a nice place along the TAN-ZAM highway. Nice pool and sitting. Yet the food was not really a revelation. If you are at a swiss operated place but have to remove the cheese from the burger, that says a lot. The other dishes were okay. Nothing special. Expected some swiss dishes like at Matema Beach, but not comparable.
Fine room, although the lighting needs improving in the room - too harsh. Good breakfast and pool side area. Friendly staff. Dinner food was terrible. So hit and miss a bit.

Wonderful place, just at the end/beginning of Mikumi National Park. A great place to stay and enjoy some Swiss specialties. Perfect spot to explore Mikumi National Park and return in the evening.
We stopped at Tan-Swiss before continuing on to Ifakara.We went on a Safari with Samwell who was a tremendously knowledgeable Safari guide; ask for him for sure. The hotel can arrange the Safari and Samwell was far more knowledge (and his English far better) than the Safari guide in our partys second vehicle. Its a short trip from the hotel into Mikumi National Park and Samwells Safari vehicles meet us at Tan-Swiss to begin Safari after am enjoyable breakfast.The hotel itself has a beautiful pool, affordable restaurant (including Indian, Swiss, and African choices), very clean rooms - especially the bathroom and shower, and free stable WiFi. It really is an oasis at an affordable price in a convenient location.

Tan-Swiss is a very nice location as both a stopover on the way to Dar es Salaam as well as a safari destination itself. Good food and nice staff.
