Luxury for the soul!We have stayed at Jua Retreat for 5 nights at the start of our honeymoon and it is exactly what we wanted and needed.To start with, there are only 4 bungalows which gives you a maximum of 6 „other“ guests. This creates an environment of peace and tranquillity but also gives you the impression of being „home“ - and what a home it is!The bungalows are huge. They offer everything you need (and nothing you don’t need). You’ll get your own terrace with a private pool (which has the perfect size to freshen up) and a fantastic area to chill, relax and sleep! The fabulous view of the ocean is just the cherry on the cake!The garden and the big swimming pool (which is only shared by a maximum of 8 guests) are always perfectly maintained! Make sure to drink a fresh coconut at the pool while listening to the chirping of the birds and the sound of the ocean!When you enter the restaurant area, the real magic starts. The food is to die for! The pastries chef made us a different kind of biscuit/bun every single day. Every morning, you can choose your lunch and dinner from a (changing) menu but rest assured - every single dish is fantastic!!! Top class!Last but definitely not least - the staff! Everybody at Jua retreat is so nice and helpful. You will receive a lot of honest smiles and heartwarming hospitality. Until the last day we never had the feeling that anyone was „working for the tips“. They will set up your dinner tables at different spots in the retreat (e.g. the beach). And if you’re lucky enough, you will see the staff perform after dinner with their bongos and chants.In short, it is indeed: luxury for the soul!

Beautiful and serene with friendly, helpful staff and great food. We had a lovely time at Jua Retreat and are happy to recommend it to others. I gave it four stars due to the rooms not having proper locks and because the curtains in the bedroom do not completely cover the windows with one window and those in the bathroom not having curtains at all. Some guests may be fine with that, but at times it made me feel very vulnerable and didnt allow for a good nights sleep.

Absolute perfection some how made better by the amazing staff. A private nook on the south east side of island carting to 8 guests (4 villas) an all inclusive stay including a private pool for each villa. There is no a/c but with the breeze and fans its not needed (coming from someone who runs hot).

Well, we got it all from Jua which is intimate adults-only paradise at the edge of the horizon.Bungalow is well maintained, spacious with a private pool. Menu is perfect for pleasing everyone taste and the food is absolutely wonderful. Hakuna Matata! This place is the place to go if you are looking for total relaxation, fantastic food and great service. Spent ten days at JUA and couldn’t have picked a better place for our honeymoon. The four guys from service and all the other staff made us feel welcome right from the start. It is one of the best place i have ever visited, very friendly staffs, the rooms are very nice, huge and very comfortable and above all the food is always so nice with variety of options .

I have been to Zanzibar before this time was unbelievablly different at Jua.... Its unique way of everything is just amazing... The ieda of only 4 villas in one of a kind ... Very private...very romantic...very personal.. the place is like Haven ... Its soooo beautiful... And they have the best all inclusive I have every seen with all imported and branded drinks... And the staff there is made me feel like family.. even the owner himself was checking on us everyday to make sure we r ok and happy .. in short if u wanna go to Zanzibar for a really romantic getaway.. this is the place

This place is the best I have ever seen. It is a true past of a boutique hotel. It only has 4 rooms that are identical: master bedroom, bathroom, and terrace with a private pool (although there is a much larger common one). These are located on a high point so the views are spectacular both to the communal pool, garden (very well-kept) and the sea (the hotel has private access).Inside the hotel there is a shop, massage and manicure area (not included in the price), paddle surf and canoe, and booties to walk on the beach / rocks.The service is excellent. All the employees are lovely. Despite having flexible schedules with meals and any other request (we went all-inclusive). The food and the cocktails are very tasty. I recommend you try Dawa (a typical Zanzibar cocktail. Especially for those who like sweets). In addition, they have the detail of bringing you coffee / tea / chocolate / juice (whatever you ask) to the terrace of the room at 6am to take it before going down to breakfast.In short, it is a place for those looking for peace and quiet, although the hotel also offers excursions and activities (not included in the price).

Super nice area! The rooms are perfectly furnished and super large. The view is a dream. The service from the 1st minutes a poem. We fulfill every wish. There are only 4 bungalows, all with their own small pool. Food wonderful. You can eat when you want and everything is lovingly prepared. You really live here like in paradise. We enjoyed the time and thanks again to the Jua team. Highly Recommended!!!

You can not go on an exclusive holiday. There are only four villas altogether, i. maximum 8 guests. With over 20 employees no wish remains open. The staff is very friendly and courteous, but not too intrusive. The houses are very open, which always blows a nice breeze. Here the time stops and you can just relax. Equally positive is that you do not have to do anything. You choose the meal times yourself, the food itself was very fresh and really excellent. It was just a wow experience!

It is a unique experience. A paradise on earth. I found it by chance and decided to finish our honeymoon at Jua Retreat. Its even better than it seems. We had doubts about the windows issue, but it seemed even better that we did not have them. It was a wonderful place. A lot of sounds of birds. The service was the best. I am glad to discover this place and have the oportunity to enjoy it. I hope to come back again to this magic place. Thank you very much.

We are a married Tuscan couple who got married on September 22nd 2018, and our journey started on the 25th and was divided into 2 parts: 7 days in Tanzania with safari every day, unique experience and 7 days in Zanzibar in search of relax and sea .. we are very satisfied and we really recommend it to anyone who wants to do this type of trip..Jua Retreat is a really wonderful place, a wonderful staff that takes care of you from waking up to the evening, always available and professional, they make you feel really at home .. Friendly and welcoming always smiling .. excellent cuisine and wonderful cooks who every evening accept that everything goes for the best, excellent quality of food .. many ideas every day and the possibility of can really live days in full relax..ottime facilities and feature tutto..a by the sea, but also the opportunity to use the pool and further escursioni..che say we are delighted we will never forget ques ta experience and will take forever in the hearts staff and the same environment, each moment spent lì..Sandra and Peter ..
