We went diving with Mike for three days and also spent a little time there, eating and stuff. We felt very very comfortable, there was a lot of emphasis on safety and a relaxed atmosphere. Mike is a great manager and has many exciting things to tell.In addition, we had the best food on all of Pemba, you noticed that everything is done with love and very thoughtful.I can only recommend it to everyone to dive here or to book accommodation!

My husband and I were infected with covid and had to cancel all the vacation we planned to Africa. We booked a trip with Swahili divers paid a full amount for the dive of $300 via PayPal in advance. I send them positive test results and asked them if they could cancel my booking and they denied it saying that it is non refundable. I then asked them for at least $150 back due to my unexpected situation and that I am sick due to no fault of mine and if they can somehow compensate and help. They never responded to my email I send to them. IF YOU CAN AVOID THIS PLACE PLEASE DO AS THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND COULD CARE LESS ABOUT YOUR SITUATION OR HAVE ANY SINCERITY AT ALL !

Positive points: very peaceful place if you want to get away and feel alone on an Island, fish dishes are amazing, rest of the meals were good. Rooms are clean, staff is welcoming. We dive for 3 Days: Good diving equipment and our dive guide Mohammed was lovely + you get a good snack between dives (Banana bread + fruits)! We Enjoyed the Walk in Ngezi forest. A/C and hot water were Working well. Sunset and sea view are just amazing!Negative points: this place has great potential, but needs a lot of love and style. Maybe looked better before covid, but now looks like a ghost place. Owner was rude with her staff and looked overwhelmed with the lack of staff, Bungalows are dark and depressing (we had the deluxe rooms, but definitely doesnt worth the money), Bench and cushions on the deck look worn, breakfast is so sad (instant Coffee, flat bread with jam, only Eggs were good). Pool wasnt clean and not inviting at all. Dive sites were good, but nothing incredible like we were expecting (we prefered diving in mafia Island by far). We also had bad weather (rain and wind) which affected visibility, but this is Nobodys fault its just nature.

Extremely professional team, and amazing attitude. We stayed for 3 nights, had 6 amazing dives and enjoyed every minute.Prices bit high, but much cheaper than the fancy resort in the north. No other options on the island.

Pemba has the most spectacularly healthy reefs in East Africa , and has one of the top prolific reef systems in the world. As Gavin Goodhart , Director Of Ambrosia Television (UK) recently said. I would say that Misali Island and especially the north of Pemba are easily one of the healthiest 30 reefs in the world. When we first heard this, we were disappointed that we were not in the top five... but then it’s just an opinion. We have coral covered walls, coral strewn reef slopes, and enormous, healthy bommies and fans that are surrounded by reef fish. Our local fishing community is generally and happily inept. This means that we see schools of chevron barracuda, yellow fin tuna, Jacks and snapper. Giant groupers sit territorially on our reefs and most sites have a resident Maori wrasse. Our dive sites are simply stunning. Ribbon eels, fire dartfish and leaf-fish can be found on many of our reefs. Our Nudibranch are a specialty. We see a large variety on every dive, and we often see the famous 30cm Spanish dancer!

An absolutely fabulous tropical and underwater Christmas for two. Very nice location, spacious and well decorated accommodation, rustic and largely sufficient comfort, healthy and very good cuisine, very welcoming, available and competent staff and management; Small corner with sofas and hammocks, ideal in front of the beach for taking a siesta in the shade during the hottest hours; water and air temperature between 30 and 35 degrees; Very fine white sand beach; Dream underwater backgrounds; Very good supervision in scuba diving, I loved it, thank you Mickaël! ; Multi-activities without getting bored for a second for 11 days: diving, snorkeling, kayaking, cycling, sandbank in the middle of the lagoon, navigation in a sailing canoe, typical villages, cultivated seaweed fields, fishing activities - octopus, oysters, smelt-giant mussels; visit to rainforests and spice farms; observation of lemurs, monkeys, bats and coconut crabs! All this while having fun on the aperitifs! And at an unbeatable overall price for the level of services, in a magical, authentic and sustainable environment, where the tourist knows how to be very discreet :)

Very quiet hotel, welcoming and warm staff.Super breakfast, and menu renewed every day.The only downside for the pedestrian that I am is the distance from the main road.
