Just an amazing place to spend a nice relaxing holiday. A few meters away from a paradise beach where we were able to snorkel around the coral reef and saw so much sea life. Saiddi has been excellent making us feel comfortable and welcomed. The guesthouse is locally owned and run, any contribution is directly goes into the community. The rooms are clean, and really good price for what you get in that side of Pemba. The food is excellent.

After couple of weeks in Pemba island it is definitely the place to stay if you are looking for basic and homely accommodation. Said the manager, Hamza the host and Fatma the cook are so calm and, well, the beach is one of the best in the island. It’s easy to do snorkeling from the shore and it’s even easier to lie and read a book in the perfect quietness.

Moonlight is a mangnific lodge and restaurant situated on the north of Pemba Island with a 3 minutes walk to the beach. The food is spectacular with a variety of fish depending on the fish of the day and the beach is so amazing with white sand, clear water and coral reefs. Nothing better than waking up and walk just a few meters to enter the water and see those colorful fishes and plants on the coral reef. Sometimes they organize parties on the beach on weekends. But the most important is the team, they are so friendly that they made me feel like at home. I really recommend this place and if you can, please stay more than 1 day to enjoy and relax in this paradise (literally).

This restaurant is run by local people, it offers simple local food. You will get fresh fish from catch of the day. It has a simple inventory and is nice looking. Additionally they have some simple low budget bungalow for rent.

Probably the best value accomodation for tourists and backpackers in northern Pemba. Theres 3 small bungalows available for much cheaper than the local all inclusive resorts like Manta / Aiyana / Pemba paradise. Theres hot water and a fan in each room and you can have optional Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Its a only a 2 minute walk to the beach and some of the best snorkeling around. They can also book you boat, flying fox, scuba (Afro Divers) and walking tours if you like. Contact Saidi direct via WhatsApp to arrange your stay +255 772 270 396. To get there you can take a dala dala from Konde for 2000 tzs. Dala dalas to Konde from Chake Chake cost about the same.

🌞Pemba Moonlight is a magical place in the north of this paradise island. Saidi is a very welcoming, respectful and helpful host.Saidi can easily accompany you in the organization of excursions: Ngezi forest, local fishing with fishermen, visit of the lighthouse, the village, according to your desires, and even help you organize your transfers. The members of their staff are locals who are just as kind and willing to help you discover the region. Thanks to Hamza for his advice and the visit to the cave (fish, bats, etc!) and the beach.🍳 In addition to being welcoming, we eat very well in this place thanks to Fatima in the kitchen! She masters Swahili cuisine and makes the best chapatis we have ever eaten.🏡 The accommodations are simple, but the necessary is there and it feels good: bed, shower, towels, toilets.Pemba Moonlight has the potential to become a place of reference in Pemba for people who want to respect the culture and the spirit of the inhabitants without distorting the region as all the other hotels on the coast do.Thanks again ! 👏

Excellent place. A gem at an excellent price (compared to its neighbors who charge a million a night) located on one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen. Also the food is delicious, local and fresh. Best place in Pemba, highly recommended.

We stayed with Said and his family for a week. We received a warm welcome from the start and really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was delicious and filling, as was the lunch and / or dinner, which we enjoyed there every day. There was a bottle of water with every meal! The Moonlight is about 5 minutes walk from the most beautiful beach that we have been able to enjoy so far. Beach beds were also provided there for Said to relax. Here you can really relax and are not constantly approached by sales-ready guides or dealers. The room was well equipped and more than big enough. There was: fan, large mirror, private bathroom, shelf, sideboard, a covered seating area right next to the room. The garden - rather a small forest - is super beautiful and lovingly laid out. Wild animals also feel at home there and are great for watching. Even in the hot lunchtime, you can always find a cool and shady spot there.Said was always helpful and open to any questions. He actively helped the guests with the organization of the trip and trips. We had good and interesting conversations with him, also because his English is very good. The rest of the team - Fatima, Hamza and Ali - were just as helpful and warm!We really enjoyed our stay and would love to stay there again at any time. Many thanks for everything! :)

This property is not just a restaurant, but also has rooms and organizes tours. With his reliable boys, who made use of two local fishermen and on the dhow, a traditional boat, we took the sand bank excursion (Sand Bank, $ 50 tot for two people for half a day). The owner Saidi (High Tide) speaks perfect Italian and accompanied us with a jeep in the marina where the boat departed. His nephew Haji (Mr Why Not) in fluent English explained to us everything and followed throughout the trip which was also attended by the two fishermen and the very young Sija (Cap) who cheered the day with songs in Italian / English / Swahili. We always felt protected and privileged when, on the lonely and very white tongue, they spread a cloth and opened the icebox to offer us a snack: watermelon, bananas, coconut to drink and to eat, water. They provided the necessary for snorkelling and dived with us to show us colorful fish and starfish. We strongly advise you to trust them, to experience the island not only as tourists, but in an authentic way. It will be also an opportunity to help the people of the simple village whose smiles of children will remain etched in our hearts.

Simple bungalows. They serve meals with local fish at tourist prices, although cheaper than in the resorts. With the covid issue and the little tourism that there is today, they do not have a menu or anything refrigerated, with ko that if you are going to eat they will go to the port to buy the fish to serve it 2 hours later ... The ideal is to notify in time if you go. if youre not in a rush, its a nice experience. Mr. Saidi is very nice

Besides being an excellent restaurant, the Pemba Moonlight is a great place to stay. 1 minute walk from the paradisiacal beaches of Pemba Island, it will be perfect for those looking for a nice place to sleep and not at all expensive compared to neighboring hotels. The host, Saïdi, is very welcoming, gracious ready to help when needed and speaks English.By far the best option if you want to visit northern Pemba.Obviously, I reorder 100%.
