Just finished an epic three day hike from Lushoto to Mambo viewpoint with Friends of Usambara Society. My guides Rashid (1st day) and Haji (2nd and 3rd day) were very knowledgeable about the local culture, the trees and the many different crops grown along the way. They were especially good in spotting the endemic chameleons. But most important, they were very pleasant fellows to have conversations with, whether about the trip or about other issues.

We had a great two days hiking with Haji! He was an excellent and informative guide and had a great attitude throughout. He took us to gorgeous viewpoints and helped us spot chameleons all along the way. We highly recommend hiking with Friends of Usambara.

Disappointing. We contracted a 6-day bike trip, there was no problem until we paid the full trip. Once paid, the guide did not know the route, he lied to us saying that it was not possible to continue with the route after the first day, we insisted and in seconds it was possible to make the route, they did not book previously the accommodations, we agreed to sleep in lodges and it was not like that, all times we had to remind him of the contracted services, we even had to ask him for the water included in the contract, etc. Avoid doing any activity with them. I do not recommend it.

We had a very great trekking trip to Irente view point and Magambe rain forrest with Charles as our guide.It was a great way to experience and see Lushoto.Charles was great at showing us the nature. And very good company all the way.

Great tour in the forest with super guide! A lot of informations and ready to adapt the tour to my budget. A nice organization that is doing a quality job caring about the wonderful nature in Lushoto. I recommand!
