The resort was perfectly maintained. It’s the only resort with palm trees on their private beach in the area. Staff was super friendly and helpfull at any time of the day. Food was ok however nothing special. Pasta & pizza was great!Very clean, nice, comfortable room with a great view! Also not to far from the beautiful places in Zanzibar. Not that much entertainment, nearby they have a club but only open on certain days. I feel there is definitly room for more ideas.It’s a nice relaxed resort also very childfriendly if you would like to take the kids with you!
We have visited atleast 10 different resorts, the ones that are a bit more fancy than this place are so much more expensive, so if you are looking to spend between 60 to 100 usd per person and get a bungalow with privet beach and all inclusive pakage this is the place to go, good food mostly from local items, one of the best beaches we saw compare to other resorts, its just wonderful experience to chill and relax at this resort for few days, they have different programs daily. Big thanks to the manager, Mr. Filippo Martini for being so cool, 👌.
I entered the Zanzibar hotel from the beach to enquire about the hotel and facilities.I was told in no uncertain terms that to come to the hotel I have to enter from the gate! And was escorted off the premises - bizarre behaviour!I was smartly dressed but not resident . Won’t be recommending this hotel to my friends who might visit me now!

This is fantastic place! Location is good. Beach is very nice and they always cleaning it. Of course some seaweed exist but not a problem. Nice place for swimming. Only need to keep in mind about tides. Better to download program on the cellphone for checking. Rooms also good and cleaning thoroughly. If compare with some other places you will find not everything in the room but most important things are there. WiFi and safe box for payment. This hotel is very safe! And all personal very kind. Territory is beautiful, swimming pool is good and enough place on the beach for everybody. Towels always can change. Food is very tasty and fresh. Many thanks to chief cook! Hospitality here on the best level and if you have any problem personal and manager will assist you. Was great please to stay there. Important only that 96% of guests are Italians and everything there on Italian language but all personal speaks English well and you can ask. And altitude is normal no any problems. And very special was animation!!! This the best team. Many thanks to Bravo club for what they doing. That was amazing and always interesting. We travel with my wife a lot and after this place we got unbelievable memories and emotions.
Slept at this resort for one night. We had a mixed up with our reservation, our agent changed our booking to another resort but forgot to properly inform us.VOI Kiwengwa is a nice resort, not so well maintained. The outdoor is beautiful but rooms are not as nice, the staff is friendly and helpful most especially the manager Filippo.The resort is full of Italians so u might feel left out. The food was edible but not great.The resort has beach access, and nice pools too.Our overall stay was okay.

The hotel was a very pleasant surprise, I did not expect this from Zanzibar. There is a lot of greenery on the territory. The rooms are simple, but I did not expect anything else from Zanzibar. Wi-fi is excellent, it catches absolutely everywhere, I watched YouTube without problems both in the room and on the beach. The restaurant is good, the food is of high quality, tasty, though a little monotonous, by the end of the week it started to get boring. All drinks are bottled, no restrictions. The service is top notch, all the staff are smiling and friendly. The hotel managers every breakfast, lunch and dinner are in the restaurant, control the work of the staff. The beach is clean, beautiful, there are enough sunbeds for everyone. Of the minuses - a strong wind that rises on the beach in the afternoon. By 17-18 hours it is impossible to lie down, sand gets into the eyes. And of course, strong tides, you won’t be able to swim at 12 o’clock. But these questions are not for the management of the hotel.Value for money 10 out of 10.
Staff was very friendly but the food was the same almost every day. Little variety and mainly Italian. I also found the management too curious about the guests. Pool and facilities were fine and the room was cleaned often. Price wise I dont think its worth it.
I really like the hotel! A variety of food adapted to the European consumer! Very neat area. Unlike other hotels in Zanzibar, the type of sockets is not English, but European. Rooms close well, do not fly insects, do not crawl lizards. Beach guards make sure that third-party vendors do not bother vacationers too much. Beach towels are always clean. I really like aqua aerobics. A special pleasure from the variety of plants.
As a rule, I am not picky, but I did not expect such a failure as this trip. (especially for so much money and full travel agency)The staff, smiling and helpful, as well as the location of the hotel, its garden and vegetation deserve more stars. Another plus is the large number of sunbeds on the beach that you do not have to fight for and reserve them from the morning.The food was dramatic, breakfast was the same, lunch was the same, and dinner was still the same. If it were good, maybe we would be happy ... In the all inclusive option, no snacks between lunch and dinner despite a very long break (snacks in the beach buffet were in the description of the hotel, but we never saw them). Another aspect is that whoever we talk to, most people have stomach ache after eating.The stay was on holidays, we chose this hotel for the variety of attractions, however only two poor discos that people asked for. So no attractions for children or adults during the day, and the theater is empty.The Italian restaurant described on the website is closed.In the rooms a lot of people complained about the stench and fungus on the wall. We only had a bad smell of rot.The beach is wide, however, covered with algae, at other hotels along Kiwengwa we did not notice so much algae (other hotels take care of it and apparently clean the beaches for the comfort of their guests).Overall Rating 2/5. For the price, we could have chosen something much better.
The hotel is not bad. The food is varied, delicious, no queues. But we were at Christmas, then for the holiday dinner paid extra for a ticket for $ 50, and I must say that the holiday dinner was not. The food is the same as on other days only in larger quantities. It was announced that a band was performing, but nothing happened! In short, vulgar attitude, money was taken, and the holidays were not organized for the guests!There is no safe in the room. There is a room with safes for all guests, working on schedule.
The hotel is perfect in every way!Meals - an excellent range of European dishes. Enough sea food. And every day the Chef pleases with personal culinary masterpieces.Clean, green, comfortable, not boring, beautiful, atmospheric.And most importantly, always and everywhere (restaurant, beach, lobby) you can meet the hotel management, they monitor everything and are always open to dialogue with guests. Always asking if everything is ok. I rarely write reviews, but I just couldnt resist 🙂The hotel is a solid 10 out of 10!
Fantastic view from the balcony in the evening time. The service is always nice to all Jumbo and of course Hakuna Matata. There is a choice of food and there is something for everyone. Now, on the plus side, the hotel is 25% full, so you dont have to jostle to tables and sunbeds. The traditional occupation of sun loungers at 7 am is not an option 😁. The slight disadvantage of the fact that there are few people in the hotel is too many Maasai and sellers offering everything and sometimes too intrusive. You have to manage somehow just like in other countries.

The hotel is clean, well-kept. By far the biggest plus is the service, which has always tried its best. Our favorite is Ali, who arranges sunbeds on the beach (on the right side of going down to the beach) - I have never met a more helpful and kind person in my life. The biggest disadvantage of the hotel is the food, some people praised the Italian cuisine etc. but unfortunately the food was very average - only the dinners were ok. Value for money is very good. If I were to come back to Zanzibar again, I would rather choose this hotel for about 4000 PLN / person / week, it is ok in my opinion. The all inclusive option is three meals a day the same and apart from them only water and cola with non-alcoholic drinks. No snacks, no juices. The coffee in an Italian hotel is hard to drink and is a problem with everything. There is no option that you will take your breakfast cookie and go eat it with better pay coffee at another bar. And the manager is only interested in matches. Because for the guests, even the music on the TV will not turn on. Next to the cheaper hotel is kiwengwa Beach resort. Only more modest rooms, everything else great, service for a medal, better food and everything for less money.
A very successful holiday. Rooms large, clean and with a great view of the ratings. The beach by the hotel is the most beautiful. The tides were in the morning until 11am later in the evening so they didnt interfere with sunbathing. In the morning at low tide, I recommend walking into the depths of the ocean in reef shoes. For about $ 15 a bit from the beach, the Lord offers a crib cruise, where you can admire starfish and sea urchins. I recommend the trips that he proposes on the Juma beach - he speaks Polish and English. Especially tortoises and monkeys. Staff very nice, helpful, it is worth leaving a tip :) The food, unfortunately, not very varied, but tasty. Dinners at a beach restaurant with a beautiful view of the ocean. You can order pizzas. On Wednesdays and Saturdays there are discos a bit from the beach in the restaurant. If someone has an old phone or other unnecessary things, the service is happy to accept it. A very nice gentleman from sunbeds would like a phone call, maybe someone will do something nice :)

Excellent hotel, rooms are not new, but clean, not shabby. The territory is green, in contrast to many hotels, well appointed. Meals are always greens, fish, and this is what I need! And cheese, separately, CHEESE, the chef sometimes handed out even brought from Italy! By the way, the chef is handsome, he always cooked some tasty treats for dinner. Drinks are bodily, if you feed the waiter, then a bottle of undiluted alcohol will always be kept in the refrigerator for you. It is better to take the buildings closer to the pool, everywhere it will be close and the kind of norms! There is a currency exchange not far across from the hotel.

We stayed 8 days. Very friendly at the reception. We arrived in the morning at 10. They offered us breakfast even though we didnt have it that day. When we left, we left at 5 in the morning, it was not breakfast time but they left something prepared for us at the reception. As for rooms, normal without much luxury. The food becomes repetitive, that is, at noon they only have a la carte pizzas and salads and defending a meat or pasta dish from the day ...The beach has the downside of high and low tides. When it is low you cannot take a bath. It depends on the days you can have almost all day with low tide. If you want a paradisiacal beach all day, go to the West of the island (where there are also many more people.) A large facility located on a beautiful wide beach with light powdery sand. Clean rooms in the African style without TV which even adds charm. The food is predominantly a mix of African flavorsand Italian fish, seafood, pasta, pizza, tasty without splendor and large amounts, fair drinks with good alcohol. Staff always smiling, very nice, helpful and obliging, without reaching for a dollar (earnings are absurdly low so its always worth giving them something). Animation several times a week. It is worth buying excursions from the locals on the beach (much cheaper than in the office) or on the right side of the beach next to the hotel in a small village. There is a local guide who speaks Polish TUMA +255785614501. In this small village, you can also rent bikes and ride the beach at the low tide and back down the road. When riding a bicycle, it is worth taking unnecessary clothing, candies or unnecessary childrens toys, while passing villages, give it to local people. A smile is guaranteed and the joy of children is priceless. Excellent hotel! Unforgettable cuisine, especially from an Italian chef! Beautiful beach. Even at low tide you can swim. The animation is good for both children and adults. Children are not visible - they are with the animator all day! It was very fun and varied. The staff are friendly. All issues were resolved without problems.

Very nice place - when we were there 90% of the guests were from Italy, but they understood to include everyone and made sure to party-in-the-street like.Great focus on having children to entertain, but not in any way stressful in terms of noise and the like.Every day on the beach (100 m. From there) drinks / drinks were served just before lunch.Fantastic happy and serviceminded staff in the restaurant and in the hotel.Can only be recommended - especially if you want to get away from larger cities.

We flew with children and chose this hotel. Children are 4 years old and 1 year old. Everything was amazing!!! Thank you for the rest, service, food, animations, hospitable staff. All at the highest level!!! Everything is clean, we were satisfied. There is no food for children, but my picky people ate everything, because it was delicious !!!!! a varied menu every day. Fish, seafood, desserts, pasta, pizza were all delicious. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Was with my wife at this hotel from mid-February to late February 2021.I was left with positive emotions.In order:- the hotel is Italian - this is a plus, as I liked the food (except breakfast). The chef from Italy has always come up with all sorts of chips from carpacho to risotto;- The territory is well-groomed, green- As it turned out, the air conditioner did not work in the room (it was a hell of a night), but the next day the air conditioner unit was completely replaced.- Great animation for both kids and adults. Separate greetings to Herman.- Ebb and flow. Yes, they are and the ebb tides are very large. But this is not a problem, install the ebb and flow program and you will be happy. In extreme cases, go to the north of the island, there is no problem with this (local taxi for help).- Massai. Well done, they are well guarded so that the locals do not bother so much.- Alcohol is not bad - mostly local. Bottled beer (it is a pity only poured into glasses). There is kaniyagi (cool topic), wine (sort of local) is also good.- I liked the beach area. Sun beds under the palm trees. Alis employee of the year always helps to move the sunbed, to lay the towel.- There is a pool, but I personally did not swim in it.What can I add, set yourself up positive! A good, all-Italian village, facing the sea, surrounded by greenery, clean and well-kept. Currently the stays are offered with the Bravo Club brand of the Alpitour group. To criticize the formula All inclusive with which the stays are sold, which in reality are very little. Many, too many things that are paid: from espresso (€ 1) to cappuccino (€ 1.50), from many cocktails (€ 7) to practically all spirits. Give it another name to the formula used, but not All inclusive: that means another thing. For a fee also the wifi (10 € / week) and the safe (12 € / week). The structure is just over an hour from the airport, has a large white beach and a large, shallow pool (max 1.30 m). The sea is very affected by the tides, so when it is low it is a lot, when it is high it is less because it is very cloudy and full of floating algae. Also worth mentioning are the Beach Boys: practically it is an assault on diligence, they dont let you walk on the beach, they accompany you and follow you wherever you go, you move one away and immediately another materializes. The structure is very silent and the staff are always courteous and affable. The kitchen offers a good variety of dishes, albeit repetitive. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the high beds with mosquito nets, the rigid mattress with low pillows. The blackout curtain is not blackout at all. There is a small minibar with water, there is no TV and the electrical outlets are of the Italian type. The bathrooms are spacious, with hairdryer and a small set of shower gel and shampoo. Daily cleaning. Not even the shade of mosquitoes, either in the room or outdoors.

Unfortunately, the pool is mainly suitable for children - no depth and the water is more reminiscent of a thermal bath.Much too loud music until 1am in the evening.Only the Italian guests exist for the animation. The world language English is not spoken and therefore one is excluded from activities.
An Unforgettable holiday dedicated to NoMatter or HakunaMatata as they say around here.Rated 5/5 to the animation of the Stars be Original group, never intrusive or with stupid / recycled jokes.Rated 4/5 to the food that I would have expected a little more characteristic and local, instead it presented among the various dishes: pasta, pizza etc.Rated 4/5 to the rooms. They are not suites, the bathroom is a bit to be reviewed, there is no TV but if you go to Zanzibar you certainly dont stay inside the room. Ants in the room and howler monkeys at night, but we are in Africa so everything is passable.Highly recommended for everyone. There is also a mini club with real professionals who will keep the children there from 9 to 18.For excursions rely on the beach boys. You will save half.

Wonderful hotel managed and operated by an Italian company. Extremely friendly staff, excellent cuisine with an Italian chef and great animation.Every penny paid for a vacation in this place is worth 100%.All our tourists say that they get more for their money and are extremely pleased.We have been visiting the complex for 5 consecutive years and the most significant is the fact that our tourists repeat the destination and the hotel !!!The hotel part is a two-storey houses beautifully situated in an exotic garden. The hotel has an extremely beautiful beach, where instead of umbrellas shade the magnificent palm trees.We will return to this place again and again ....We will be happy to answer any questions related to this place, as well as everything else with our favorite island of Zanzibar.

We stayed at the Bravo Kiwengwa villages from 20th to 28th March 2018.The village is very nice, clean and big. You eat well and in abundance, the menu is always varied.My wife is celiac and had truly excellent service. The Italian cook and the food and beverage manager Roberto were two guardian angels always ready to advise on any occasion. Note of merit also for Simba, the head nurse, and for the waiter Omar.The Bravo villages animation is always a guarantee ... The animation manager Raffo, always at the top, cheered up our whole holiday.The island of Zanzibar is very beautiful to discover; however, we recommend that you rely on the village to book excursions (I remind you that we are still in a poor country).The staff, led by Manuela, has shown that they are truly up to par and know how to pamper customers in a very professional way.The only flaw of that part of Zanzibar, in addition to the tides that seize the sea for half a day, is the presence of the beach boys on the beach; they are really nagging and the savings by making their excursions (of lower quality than those organized by the village) is a few euros.Island to see for its beauty !!PS: the excursion to Nakupenda cannot be missed !!

The room was also already available (which is rare especially with early morning arrivals)Perfect room, very spacious and spotlessAs soon as we arrive at the beach, we are greeted by the professionalism and cheerfulness of AlíThe beach boys and the Masai (true masters of reinventing themselves with shops with unlikely names (Ikea, Pandora, ...) less invasive than expected.Excursions with the beach boys are excellent and cheaperThe problems or rather the CUDDLES start from lunch with quality food every day !!Roberto (one of the gang) between brunches, aperitifs, surprises (the tuna caught and directly served ... by URLO) does not allow breaks and above all impossible to say no 👏👏👏So if to collaborate with a Tuscan (Maurizio the manager) you add a Sardinian (Roberto - beverage & food manager), a Lombard (Filippo - room division manager) and a Sicilian (Dario - Bravo Club animation manager) and season everything with the sympathy and professionalism of the cooks, barman (especially Juma), the animation team (Mario, Lollo, Alessia, Roberto ... just to name a few), Mario at the piano bar and the fantastic photographer Elena and her colleague Nicolas you get .... the PERFECT vacation !!!!... apart from time a bit too capricious ... but the gang will be able to organize themselves for this too, Im sureIt is recommended
Dream vacation to celebrate my husbands longed-for pension, we ate very well, pampered at all times of the day. Smiling and helpful staff, nice animation, not intrusive.
Very nice village. Well kept. Great food. Possibility to request gluten-free meals. Folks always smiling and helpful. Clean rooms. The beach is very beautiful. Nothing but sun palm trees in their place. On the beach are the Beach Boys. Enough stessanti but manageable. The Masai are very kind and tell their story. Animation cute and non-invasive. The only flaw is the music that is played during the aperitif before dinner. Its heartbreaking and dated !!!
The resort is definitely well served and well organized, from food to animation. The only flaw the sea, unfortunately not up to the boundary, and the beach boys who attack you as soon as you leave the village. Animators very good and not intrusive. Acceptable food, very good fish.
Great hotel. It is Italian, so the program is mostly adapted to it, mostly in Italian, Italian animators, etc. We had all inclusive - for breakfast a rich selection of sweet and savory dishes, for dinner also a buffet and a variety of dishes. As for the beach, it is clean, but I recommend going to it in the morning, in the afternoon the low tide begins, which is still a few tens of meters, and you can not swim. There are plenty of massages on the beach that dont normally bother you, but once you go into the water, they will fall on you - but they are usually quite friendly :)
What to say...We stayed at this resort from 05 to 12 September 2018 as a couple with three other friends. It was all great, for me and my very special partner. We organized our Masai Wedding by deeply loving Africa, and our dream became reality. Thanks to the director Daniele, to the impeccable organizer of the event as well as food & beverage manager Roberto, to the fantastic Elena who supported us in the preparations and immortalized with her fantastic shots our dream that came true ... Thanks to the fantastic head animator Alessio, who translated the words of the ceremony in an impeccable way from Swahili. An infinite thanks to the splendid Masai boss Leo who married us, always smiling and helpful. Thanks to all the tireless animation staff, Niky, Martina, Giusy, Riccardo, Denny etc. etc ... that have entertained us all week.A heartfelt thanks to the videomaker of the village, who surprisingly gave us the video of the ceremony, perfectly edited. Great resort to spend a carefree holiday with a vast choice menu where everything is especially fish.All inclusive provide beach towels beneath palm trees whose fruits can be eaten.Organized excursions to visit Maja temple ruins not far apart.Italian language now that the Masai also know very elegant in their red dresses.Dont go if you want to do diets.A nice memory.
At present, the structure has serious organizational gaps on the part of the tour operator and on the part of those who manage and manage it.The level of cleanliness in the rooms leaves something to be desired, that is very low, just think that the shower has a dirty curtain that does everything possible to avoid contact during its use.The hygiene by the staff working on site is not the best and in addition their availability is close to zero.What to say about the constant requests for tips for whatever they think they are doing in your favor.I dont know, do you still want directions on choosing this property? A splendid Village, well-kept, indigenous staff very kindly eloquent, Italian staff very attentive to the needs of the guests, the superlative chef Biagio, the managers of reception, of food and beverage, until the last porter Unici.
