Surprisingly top notch pizza and pasta as well as reasonably priced rooms. Would definitely recommend. Only complaint is that our first room had a bad smell and was quite dark, however we moved to another room further from the beach which was great.

Cheap, price, for 8 nights we paid 200$.First night we get wrong room, but staff changed it. Clean & friendly. Good food, nice pub and lot of space outside. Ecxellent price to quality ratio.And a lot of very friendly Masai from Tanzania :)

Had a reservation for a room with ocean views, check-in from 13: 00, arriving at 19: 00, the girl said at first that the room is not ready, but as it turned out it other people live. offered another room that was smaller and generally did not meet what was booked. the Manager is a young man, generally a nasty type, ham. yelled at the girl and told to be quiet. although just wanted to check in to your room or to get the money back. I do not recommend this place.

Appalling! Rooms ok but staff sullen & rude. Favourite response to all requests was Just wait! With a roll of the eyes. Breakfast always late and never sufficient for number of guests. All guest room door locks broken on beach front rooms. Took 4 days to fix mine despite assurances otherwise. Worst thing was music blaring from 3 mega speakers from the Italian bar next door till 2am. Every room in hotel shaking. No sleep. Staff refused to take any action. It felt that the guests are at the hotel for the hotel staffs convenience. Avoid this place.

We tried out the restaurant! Its slightly cheaper than the neighboring restaurants/bars. We ordered a fish platter, mango juice, spaghetti and Fanta. The fish was ok, but nothing spectacular! Portions were not really big enough for three adults! You are at the front line of the beach and the seating was comfortable! Staff was nice and we would probably come back as the price was fine for what we have received.

We had to move in Sipano Beach Lodge as the accomodation previously booked did an overbooking (Villa Baridi).In Sipano Beach they checked-in us in the room at 4 pm even if the room was empty since 11am and they knew we arrived at 7 am.The room was hotter than an oven, we couldn’t sleep at night, it smelt of umidity, water rarely avaiable and igienical conditions were not acceptable.Dogs and cats everywhere, often lying down in chaise-longue we should use.Almost all the staff was rude and unpolite.

I can highly recommend this place. Friendly staff, transparent and honest Chef and the rooms are ok and has a Fan and Hot Water. Price and Performance is in Balance. The beach is nice. The chill places are perfekt. The food is delicious. So a perfect place to stay. Next to Sipano is a kite Station. So kiting is also possible.

Place managed by locals. Good for a drink or a lunch. Low prices. Sipano Beach has several rooms. The internal ones are really basic and good for backpackers (25$). The rooms on the beach are basic too, but are a little bit more confortable and have a view on the sea (35$). The place is the only place in Kiwengwa usually frequented by Masai. Behind the lodge there are two little local market where buying water, fruit, chips, cigarettes, etc. and a place where usually Masai have lunch.

Nice place to have some drinks and relax on the beach. There is also free wifi, even though you might have to ask for it to be turned on sometimes. Local beer 5000TSH, Coke 2000TSH, water 1000TSH. Only cash payment. I wouldn’t recommend ordering food here, as the whole place seems quite dirty. When we asked for straws for our drinks the waitress first tried to shake out some dirt out of them and then handed them out (still dirty).

Disappointing to say the least. When I showed up to the place they had overbooked and had to scramble to find me another place to stay. They first moved me up the road to a shady place that smelled of urine and the beds werent clean. The management apologized and did make an effort to send me to another lodging down the beach. They told me to come back over again at 7am for breakfast as I had to leave at 730 sharp. I was there at 7, had to ask twice about coffee, and still waited til 725 to receive breakfast; this left my transport waiting on me. I rarely leave reviews, but its just a warning in case you arent in the mood for a runaround.

I stayed here two times during my internship in Tanzania and Zanzibar. I really enjoied my stay here. Peter the owner is a very friendly person and also a student of community development he knows much about Zanzibar and its inhabitants. He will always help you if you have questions about Zanzibar and the rich opportunities for tourists. The staff is also very friendly and yes, sometimes you have to wait a bit when you ordered a meal. But seriously you came to Zanzibar, this is absolutely normal. You came not to Zanzibar to have the same mentality as in germany ;) Punctuality and things like that are not as important like in european cuntries. This kind of lifestyle will make your stay much more relaxing and it is a good thing to lose the struggle of time during your holidays. So what I can say is, this place is vewry nice and you should stay here if you want to relax and enjoy this beautiful island!

We stayed in biserka house for 3 weeks with the family.Very nice house and rooms, clean and with maximum comfort.Hospitable owners for any need, we had a great time.Highly recommended !!!!!!!

Beach. The tide is very strong, as it is on the entire east coast. Sea urchins have been spotted a couple of times, but not many.Service at the hotel. Nothing at all. The owner is Italian, always under the degree that she cannot connect two words. On the day of departure, I could not tell the time of the transfer to the airport it wil bee okey answering all the questions.Room cleaning in the morning, if you got up for breakfast, they take your room key and clean it. No other time. Towels are changed only if requested.There are only fans in the rooms, no air conditioning.The perennial problem with electricity. It turns off and on like light music in the evenings when the wind. It is unrealistic to charge the equipment. The administration says that this is the case throughout the island, but the neighbors have electricity ...With wifa, there is a problem, because the router simply does not have time to boot between power off.Water also disappears along with electricity. I recommend the beach view rooms, its really worth the small price difference! The ocean view is truly breathtaking, the room spartan but comfortable, the helpful staff always at your disposal and very kind, excellent cuisine. Particularly popular was the breakfast on the beach with fresh food and excellent chapati! I highly recommend it!

Zanzibar Alphajiri Lodge. Small hotel with 17 rooms. Kiwengwa beach. Clean. 2 cafes are expensive. Fruit is cheap. 15 minutes walk to supermarket and alcohol market. The breakfasts are poor. The Italian hostess set the prices for omelet and scrambled eggs at $ 3 before leaving. The sand is fine. The ocean is super. There were no sea urchins. The corals were not useful. The lights were turned off several times. Wi-Fi worked intermittently in the bar. The water was intermittent until lunchtime.

Unforgettable! We immediately felt part of their big family! Here the difference is made just by the people ... Peter, the owner a really wonderful person, Simanga and Bruno ready to organize every kind of excursion and transfer, all the very kind staff and always smiling and then them ... the splendid masai who will accompany and protect you (Even if you do not need!) Listen to their stories is the real trip to Africa! Oh I forgot, the structure is in true African style, the rooms are very simple, the food is fresh and good, the sea is beautiful and the white beaches are very long ... but as I was saying, everything takes a back seat in front of the great and pure heart of these people . Interact as much as possible with them and you will certainly return home richer than when you left! Highly recommended !!!!

The people, very kind and attentive and although the room does not close, assure me that there will be no robberies. I spent 10 days in this beautiful place to spend a holiday in total tranquility and relaxation is super recommended. Very good chef and food (fresh fish every day). Friendly and solar staff. You feel right at home. I will certainly return.

The location was perfect, right by the ocean. A simple, shabby facility. The friendly, sympathetic staff and the coffee and tea service all have positive aspects. Very late arrival of food orders, the last sound of the Italian radio in the evening meal hours and not being too attentive about the cleanliness of the facility in my opinion.

Just returned from the sipano beach lodge in ZanzibarSn been two fabulous weeks the rooms sn very simple but you only came back to the room in the evening ... the resort is very characteristic we often had lunch there excellent courses the girls sn senpre smiling and polite excellent breakfast fruit crêpes ciapati panzerotti nutella jam a gogo .... milk and tea ... the private beach in front is beautiful equipped with sunbeds a beautiful sea ....
