We had the most wonderful time at this charming little boutique hotel. If there weremore than 5 stars we’d give more.We felt so welcome from the first second.Recommendations and help with anything (sim card, renting a scooter, where to stop for deserted paradise beaches,where to go and what to see and where to eat when in stone town..).Manager Antonio, Remo, the lovely staff helped us with everything, taught us Swahili words and made us feel at home for 10 days.We also would like to point out the food! The manager of the restaurant Moohdi (hope I spelt it correctly;) and his team showed us the amazing variety of Zanzibari cuisine. Don’t hesitate to ask them for literally anything you dream of! Rice dishes full of spices from the island, okras or other local veggies in a delicious sauce, chapati (local “pancakes”) rolls, lobster, red snapper…catfish..fresh fruit from the garden. Could go on like this forever!Asante sana for everything. We can recommend this hotel because of its beautiful rooms, decor, garden, food, pool, short distance walk to the beach. But most important: the people 🙏🏼❤️

Great, small, familiar adult only hotel. The staff are very attentive, courteous and friendly. The food was delicious, the pool area small but nice, the rooms very clean and well used.The owner of the Hotel Antonio went out of his way to make sure that we like it and he is interested in his guests. He built the hotel within a year and its really great, compliments.To get to the beach you have to walk a few meters (approx. 350 meters), but it is teeming with beach boys, so we preferred to enjoy our time in the hotel anyway, and we definitely did. A small hotel, quiet, magnificent, on a human scale, and so pretty! Everything is beautiful, neat, authentic, clean. It is not on the seafront, but 5 minutes on foot, which allows you to be really quiet, far from the big resorts on the beach.And what about the staff? All as nice, smiling as each other! They made us feel like home. We were told that in Zanzibar everything is possible, the Tropical Sunset Hotel proved it to us every day: Hakuna matata is indeed the motto of the island! Chobwe treated my foot wound with papaya, Mohammed and Elias taught us how to make mango jam, Remo taught us to sing in Swahili, Betrump introduced us to ginger tea... I could list them all here, but that would take way too long!! They also offer everything you may need: taxi, car rental, etc.A big thank you also to the maids who made us a wonderful surprise Valentines Day decoration on the bed! 🌺In short, the staff is as nice as the place! We recommend +++++++!Asante sana to the whole team for making our stay so enjoyable!

What a beautiful find, a few steps from Kiwengwa beach an oasis of tranquility. Excellent international dishes and traditional African cuisine, also good cocktails and aperitifs. I recommend visiting it to enjoy the magical sunset that can be seen from the pool. Welcoming and always smiling staff.

Excellent order and cleanliness! An environment of total relaxation in the heart of the Zanzibari green, a few meters from the kiwengwa sea. Welcoming staff and great restaurant! Recommended 😊

The tour operator had sold us a stay in a 4-star establishment but the services offered are not up to the price: rooms summarily furnished (no chairs, garbage cans, towel racks, hangers, table, etc.) uncomfortable (faulty air conditioning, window closed with mosquito nets but no glass,…), frugal breakfasts, no calm given the construction of a building right next to the hotel. In short, we had booked 10 days, we fled from the 3rd! And we werent the only ones to cut short our stay that week.The positive thing that we will remember from this place: the friendliness of the staff….and the bad faith of the owner!!!
