Had the unfortunate experience of staying at this hotel . Upon arrival ,my TV was not working and there was no hot water . After waiting 7 hours , no one had sorted it out. So I eventually gave up.Their rates for food and drinks are more expensive than any of the other places in Zanzibar which is utterly ridiculous. The waitering staff was rude and unhelpful. The food is of the lowest quality and had no flavour at all . After complaining, they seemed to treat us badly . If you love good food ,I suggest not eating here. The reason for my rating of 2 stars is because of the breathtaking view of the beach and the incredible house keeping staff . They made my stay so much easier . The hotel has alot of potential but they need to decrease prices and focus on food . Their continental breakfast comprises of eggs ,sausages ,bacon and some sort of vegetable. All meals doesnt include drinks. So coffee,water or soda must be paid for at a ridiculous price or 4 dollars.. very disappointing to have spent so much money and received such poor quality of food.

Beautiful hotel around Zanzibar north with huge swimming pool. I really recommend this one. But the are petty bad treatment/customer services to be improved.

We waited 2 and a half hour till food arrived, even though the whole place was empty. The food was cold and not very delicious as you would expect from the high prices.

I have nothing against the hotel. But the organizers are something with something. There is such a guide NINA. Nina MSG tourism. If you come across, then consider the vacation ruined. We booked one hotel (posh) and she settles us on the phone in general at a second level and says that we have no choice .....And all other requests to solve our problem are threatened ..So people - youre in danger.

Good hotel. All inclusive. The food is average, everything is fresh, without variety. I especially liked the shpaghetti, burgers and kebabs. We went to kiwengwa beach for dinner several times. Crabs were given. High quality alcohol. Beer, rum, gin, whiskey, vodka, wine, tonic and drinks. The staff tries. The beach is clean. The ocean is super, the water is warm. There are ebb and flow. There are no shops nearby.

We were temporarily settled in this hotel, as postponed departure. They were not ready for us, so there was stress with food. After talking with those who rested there, we realized that their food was excellent: lobsters and other delights. The hotel itself is neat, clean. They wanted to go to the store outside the territory. Security at first did not want to let out. Then I realized why: outside the village. Goats, chickens, local children run around, women wash. As a result, a guard went with us. So for service solid 5. But there is no sea there. More precisely, it is far away due to the ebb. And here not even 3 points. But there is a clean pool.

The hotel is not bad. The kitchen is quite usable! But the beach is not very ... Lots of hedgehogs.

We rested at the hotel for the New Year holidays. The impressions are ambiguous, but we realized that for Africa this is an excellent hotel and service. The hotel itself is located away from urban-type settlements. This has both pros and cons. Pros: free beach, everything is calm, no fuss. This is not even the first, but the zero line, if we consider the proximity to the beach. The territory of the hotel ends and the beach begins immediately. Cons: Far to go to shops. There is a local village nearby (for the poor). There you can buy water, cola. Out on the track, fruit is sold. But the nearest beer shop is km 4. It is not an option to go by public transport, they do not stop for us)) You can take a taxi, but the prices are not cheap at all. Prices from 20 to 50 dollars depending on the distance. And you need to bargain with them, because at first they call sky-high prices.The hotel has its own territory, sun loungers, umbrellas, towels .. everything is there. Security both at the beach and at the entrance to the hotel. There are 2 hammocks, a childrens slide. Everything is so beautiful. Dining room on the 4th floor with wonderful ocean views. There are no waves as there is a barrier reef ahead. Ebb and flow are present. There are many sea urchins everywhere! !!! Take your slippers !!! You can see the starfish at low tide.Everything is clean and beautiful in the rooms. White linen .. good quality plumbing. The dishes are clean and of high quality. The room is equipped with everything necessary for relaxation, a safe, refrigerator, air conditioning. !!! There is no kettle !!! The bed is beautifully decorated in an African style with a perimeter mosquito net. There is no need to use it at all, but it gives an atmosphere to an African vacation.Upon arrival in the morning we were 15 minutes late for breakfast on their own transfer. They didnt give us food and said that if we wanted we could have breakfast for $ 8 per person.In the room we were accommodated in, the air conditioner, refrigerator did not work, water did not flow either from the shower or from the washbasin. They came to fix it, it took about 40 minutes, but nothing worked. We were moved to another room. There were no problems at first. But on the second day the lock broke. The repair took 3 days. At this time, our way to the room lay only through the reception. The situation with the broken locks was not only with our room. This was massive. Air conditioners also did not work for many. But then somehow everything worked out. There were no more global problems.In their essence, they are very slow people, so you should not expect a quick reaction from them. This also makes the service slow. At first, there was no buffet for dinner, but it was necessary to order dishes. Cooking took at least 2 hours. But then more tourists came and they set the buffet and for dinner and the problems disappeared.We were fed normally, tasty enough. For dinner, deliciously cooked meat (they have a buffalo), seafood.We were pleasantly surprised that after we vacated the room (we had a return flight in the evening), they gave us a guest room, in which we could take a shower in the evening, change clothes, etc. before leaving.The staff is polite, trying to help, but due to national peculiarities they do not always succeed or succeed, but they have to wait a long time.In conclusion, we will say that if you look at European standards, the hotel is located close to the sea 5 *, in appearance, the internal equipment of 4 * rooms, the hotel territory is not large, but cozy, according to the 3 * service. But for Africa it is 5 *)))))) We talked with the guests from the Czech Republic who settled in the hotel later, they said that they were changing the 3rd hotel in a week and this is an ideal hotel for this region! When asked what was bad in others, they answered: there was no water, light (it seems to exist, but at any moment it is not there and it is not known when it will appear), there are some insects around, dirty, etc.At night it is very good to observe the starry sky. Going out to the beach and looking up, its just a mesmerizing sight: the whole sky is strewn with stars! There is no city lighting, in the nearby local village, too, well, only the light from the hotel, well, there are still small hotels nearby. But the night sky is super!We wish everyone who is in Zanzibar a wonderful holiday!
