Very fresh seafood. We had grilled octopus and local fish and bananas- they are so delicious and fresh! The special sauce for the seafood is also great and unique. Fair price. Love it a lot!

Dont overlook this place just because it doesnt look like a great restaurant. The food is amazing and the service is excellent and friendly. You might have to wait a while for the food but that is because it is cooked from scratch. The lobster is great and so is the local food (fish with bananas). Great value for money!

Amazing place with perfect service and delicius seafood! During our stay nearby we visited Bin Jabir several times, it was always a big pleasure. We loved the snaper and the most delicate and tasty octopus ever! The star is garlic butter sauce which boosts the taste of every dish. Highly reccomended 😀

I totally recommend this local restaurant for the delicious sea food, especially the grilled lobster and cigal. During our stay we went 4 or 5 times there. Really appreciate the friendly staff, the view and the simplicity of the place. Thank you :)

First off dont be chased off with look of the place ! Explore !Place your order and go for a walk and enjoy serenity of empty beach and observe daily life of local people ( as orders take time to be prepared, as they are preparing everything from scratch!)Mr. Jabbar was outstanding host and food was delicious and fresh ! Price are very fair as well.We drove 30 minutes to try this place out and we are coming back again.Genuine review and Im very difficult to give 5 stars.

Cool place. Very very authentic and basic in the same time.Food was ok, but based on other reviews I was expecting something better.If you stay at Queen hotel is a good choice for lunch or dinner. (You are on your own on food safety :-), if you know what I mean)

Very good food, freshly prepared and clean. The seafood is delicious and the service excellent. The location of the restaurant couldnt be better, right at the beach!

Walked down the beach to Bin Jabir, greeted by Chef Baya who took our order and reservation (and phone number so that we could text 30 mins before arrival so that he could ensure our food was ready when we arrived). Had the lobster (5/5, esp the garlic butter sauce), grilled tuna, grilled octopus (this one is also 5/5, so juicy/tender/seasoned well), with side of fries (seriously vegetarians, come here for the fries), surprisingly delicious salad of tomatoes, cucumber, and onions, and mucho coconuts. The food was amazingly tasty, the fries were top shelf, the coconuts were refreshing, and the chef was uber great. In short: Chef Baya is a national treasure and Bin Jabir is a must try!

Very nice staff, delicious food. You can call in advance and order the food. The lobster is great and also the seafood soup. They also serve beer.

Probably the best meal i’ve had on the island, the seafood is super fresh and tasty. The owner is also the head chef and this is the new location of the restaurant, right on the beach. Good prices for the quality provided and decent portion size. Tip: The chips are insanely good

We ordered fish and octopus. Firh was quite good but the portion of fish was very small.Octopus was so hard that impossible to eat. We told it but nobody want to take responsibility for it :)Think in restaurant should be more clean and nicely. Do not recommend!

Realy great food from local chef.

Delicious food with fast service. I am sad we came here only once during our stay; it definitely deserves regular visits. One thing though (like many other places Zanzibar) they charge 5% for credit card and I think the system they use doesnt charge them 5%. It would be great to make using credit cards less costly. I think they would benefit from this a lot as even more people would come

We were pleased with the quality of the food, nice lobster with garlicy-butter sauce. Catch of the day is very fresh and tasty. Definitely worths visiting if you stay nearby.

The food is good, portion is small. Chef cooks one dish at the time, so allow an hour or so for meals to be prepared. Do go when you are staving, go when you are just start to feel hungry.

Place was awesome. A bit hard to get to, considering you have two Bin Jabirs on google maps :))) the food is amazing especially the seafood soup and the lobster. Definitely recommend this place.

Super local restaurant, nice and friendly staff. It also takes longer to eat. The food was delicious, the seafood, shrimp, tuna, pasta delicious. They even had a red wine and it tasted good too. They have a rather annoying cat business, I definitely recommend

We were on the island for 21 days. We traveled the whole island up and down, we lived in 10 different places, and how many places we ate it is impossible to convey. And the most delicious food is in this cafe. Its not just firefighters grilling fish and seafood. This is the most delicate lobster that I have eaten in my life, and I have been to 20 countries and have eaten lobster in almost all of them, but I have never eaten such a tender lobster that melts in my mouth. A huge fish, the most delicate in taste, wonderful octopuses that simply melt in your mouth. The chef is a great fellow, it is clear that he works very hard and he gets an excellent result. I recommend everyone to come to this cafe and try every dish, because they are all delicious. Thank you very much. We love you.

Very nice place. The food is quite tasty. The staff are very friendly and positive. The prices are low and the portions are very large, everything is very generous, a glass of juice will be poured to the very brim. If you are not confused by the small assortment of dishes and the rustic style of the establishment, then you will really like it here.

Well, personally, it was not very tasty for me and more expensive than in other beach restaurants. Well, the octopus was either badly beaten off or cooked so it was a bit harsh.

They dont cook deliciously, but also cheat on the bill, very rude waiters, if you can call them that way, the kitchen leaves much to be desired, ordered curry with shrimps, the shrimps were apparently already spoiled, I thought everything would be fresh here, but there are no such people everywhere. to say that they are already over, they have prepared for me and still require money
