I know Pilipili Swahili Lodge its a nice place place near the Pilipili Family a place where hospitality born its staffs are very friendly, its food are very tested, I like it for sure
What a fascinating place. Just loved it. Great accommodation with its own little swimming pool in lush surroundings. Beach front, high tide comes right up to the steps. Thankfully the place is high above the water line. Exotic breakfast included! Great cocktails and Tapas! If you are Zanzibar, a must visit for the sake of the beaches as well.
Its a great place with fair enough prices for amaizing things and food theyve got. Tne view is amaizng. But my only concern is the enviroment and the community, i think it would be much better if they did a bit more in terms of clearing up the plastics on their back yard and also more impotantly they should at least do something for the school kids like getting them some new school uniforms as charity, its not asking much since they clearly have a lot of guests each year. Otherwise its a lovely place to be and i recommend it.
Small portion of food not worth the money. Also, very dishonest when you give dollars they give you shillings back but instead of 2300 for 1usd they give 2200 for 1usd.Not recommended to eat here
Very friendly staff, good place to stay for holiday. The food is delicious and huge portions. They help with all the local trips and attractions.Recommended
Where to start, the staff is incredibly friendly, the food is excellent, the breakfast is very generous and the rooms are perfectly equipped. I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE.Couples, friends, families, this hotel will suit everyone. Want to come back !!
Everything was perfect! Idyllic view and location, so peaceful. Food was exceptional, every meal!
Heavenly location, great service and food. Management and stand top drawer. Perfect.
Exterier very nice, very delicious dishes but something very strange with personal, they spent about 20 minutes with our bills
This is a nice place to enjoy your holiday, when you here you will get time to eat tapas, drink want you want, swimming in pool, viewing ocean and many many good things will find you there.
Nice and friendly staff, very relaxed atmosphere.Highly recommend their special jam.
Great service, awesome place. And the food... ah, the food!!! We loved the stay, thanks Marek
Incridible place, mostly beautifull place to visit, amaizing beach views, core of sea breeze in zanzibar your warmly welcomeI recomending this hotel
First time was great second time around the food was poor quality.
Located right on the beach, amazing food and clean. Room size was a little small but the space is used cleverly.
Restaurant is run by polish people with good food and view
- the best staff ever (including the cat and the dog)- activity with dolphins organized by the manager was incredible- the restaurant is perfect: breakfast, lunch, dinner- the best cocktails of Zanzibar- View from terrace is incredible- Good WiFi (portable: you can bring it with you everywhere)
Very Good foodExcellent hospitality
Service takes time but worth the wait the fish there was absolutely amazing.
Best place for your vacation
Tasteful and chic, but down to earth relaxed. This is a little pearl for a Zanzibar experience between the beach and the village.

Nice atmosphere, super intimate swimming pool surrounded by vegetation, clean rooms (cleaned daily) and spacious, very friendly service. The only thing that I didnt like was the food and frequent shortages in the menu, hence 1 star less.
Small intimate logo. And the hangout bar is the best. My favorite place.
An intimate facility, although it is located in the so-called center :). Rooms cleaned every day, rooms not large, but tidy:) Swimming pool one meter from the room😁 Close to a restaurant with Swahili cuisine :), However, this proximity causes that from 6am it gets quite loud and it can be disturbing. Next to the hotel there is a private villa and sometimes there are noises from it :) Only because the object did not get 5 stars :) PS in the second photo a private security guard;)
Several air-conditioned rooms, swimming pool, safe. Near the restaurant a few meters, next to the stalls
I didnt live at the hotel but was in the area passing through and was surprised at what I saw contrary to Pili Pilis good marketing. So I will only comment on the surroundings. In my opinion, the hotels are very tight, with no greenery or space around. Surrounded by poor local houses and unpaved roads.Probably no sunbathing beach at high tide. Generally, the beach is open to the public, so it can be difficult with peace (from the local people) and safety there.People have different needs, Im glad I chose a large industrial hotel. If someone wants to rest and is afraid of collision with Africa, I advise you to think carefully about staying in this type of hotels.
The welcome is very warm. It is very well decorated and the food is good.We only stayed one night due to the noise of construction work next door, the team were very understanding of our choice to leave one night early and offered our drinks at the bar as compensation. Very good customer relationship!
Nice beach bar, wonderful view and very smiling and friendly staff. The prices are very reasonable in terms of drinks. Small menu for the meal but we did not eat there.
Great place, great people, very good cuisine. A huge plus for creating a small hotel with a sensational atmosphere, where you can feel at home. A hotel for people who dont like big resorts. In Pili Pili you can see and feel how Zanzibar lives, what a Tanzanian village looks like, and meet ordinary residents who are not cut off from tourists by fences and fences. Beaches beautiful and during the outflow very wide - and there are practically no tourists and no beaters, which is unheard of in such paradise places. I recommend with all my heart!
I was living nearby so we took a walk and check out the facility. This is where the magic of photos comes out. Unfortunately, live everything is smaller and more in pile. We wanted to eat too, but it was twice as expensive as our hotel restaurant.I recommend that you do not get information from Facebook, because the owner deletes all unsuitable and uncomfortable ones on a regular basis. Unfortunately, he probably has a problem with criticism. More masculinity and courage Mr. Wojtek ... unless you are doing a little religion and self-worship from your Facebook profile. Then its a good way ...
Unfortunately, but Pilipili House Apartments (if you can call it that) will not recommend to anyone. We stayed 9 days from the planned 15-day stay ... and changed the hotel. The building, which was commissioned at the beginning of the junction, was not prepared for guests in 80%.Daily, few hours of water shortage, no electricity, no mosquito netting in the balcony door, which caused lizards to enter the room plus mosquitos,. Breakfasts served from the same products every day (after a week it was impossible to look away), dinners usually served Cold, Unfortunately returning attention didnt help. When it rained in the morning at breakfast or in the evening, they had no plan B ... two material umbrellas, unfortunately, but they did not help the rain. Also, no space if all rooms wanted to sit at breakfast or dinner. The pool next to the object So small (larger bath tub;) that As three children entered it really was not space. For 7-8 Apartments, as a rule, there were families with children available during our stay, only 3 Loungers by the pool. We were not informed before arrival about the construction site next door, knocking and knocking in the morning, Digging ditches under the door without securing the passage, only As someone fell into the hole they deigned to put a piece of plank.Wojtek, the owner, for me a man whom I have forgotten what respect for another man, humanity and hospitality are. Hospitality - because we are his guests who leave him with little money ... and I think we deserve respect. Every negative comment and negative review which guests unfortunately often have, is deleted from fb page (3 families gave negative reviews on fb ... after 3 minutes they were removed). After returning from a walk for 5 hours and wanting to take a shower, I asked aloud in the presence of Mr. Wojtek why there was no water yet, because it was supposed to be in 1 hour !!! He pretended not to hear and turned his head the other way! But delete the full amount for accommodation with inconveniences knows How!Vouchers are one big cheer !!! It is possible to pay for everything with them! You cant fool yourself! Transfer from the airport 40 $, Transfer to the airport 40 $ - you have to pay cash !!!! Not all trips can be made with vouchers !!! Only selected .... Prices in the bar and restaurant are also too high .... e.g. Aperol (9 €) more expensive than in Italy! For comparison in a restaurant outside pilipili 4 $ ..... A Pole, however, is able to welcome and pluck;)If someone likes to lie on a sun lounger by the beach in front of the guest house is a must ... lack of loungers and the Plaza next to it is not impressive .... 4km further in Paje much nicer wider and cleaner.I do not recommend Pilipili House, it is unfortunately overrated with negative commentaries from guests, which unfortunately have no chance on the fb page of Pilipili House, because the owner notoriously deletes them .... And its a pity, because you can often learn and improve negative reviews, to be better and better!
Shame !!!!! How can you spoil the atmosphere of such a beautiful place? There are bars protruding from the construction site everywhere. The true charm of Africa is completely lost. I do not recommend
A wonderful place, wonderful people, pleasant memories, unforgettable moments ❤️❤️❤️
Great atmosphere, delicious food, wonderful people!
Very tasty food, great atmosphere and friendly service. We were there to eat three times during a four-day stay in Jambiani 😊
We were only in the restaurant and unfortunately most of the dishes on the menu were unavailable for which a considerable minus. Plus for delicious fries though a small portion.
A unique place - not only because it is run by Poles and has a unique atmosphere, but above all by great people who run it. I almost never happened to make friends with the hotel crew, and it is here that people make this place have a great atmosphere. Animals too, although not everyone can like a monkey that steals fruit from cocktails;) Also noteworthy is great food, a lot of additional yoga classes, meditation or dancing (I wont say the last one because I wasnt: D) and small items such as free laundry on request, etc. I recommend it!
I consider the stay in Zanzibar to be successful, but I didnt like PiliPili itself. At the moment (February 2020) PILIPILI is one big CONSTRUCTION SITE, which no one mentions when booking. Hammer, felx etc. from 8:00 to 22:00. We came here on the recommendation of a friend who in 2017 praised the idyll and intimacy of PiliPili. Today is idyllic. We stayed in a 2-room apartment No. 6 in PiliPili House. Generally, a person can get used to everything, but not a dripping toilet bowl. Especially when it takes up to 4 days to fix it. The bathroom has neither window nor ventilation, which is why there is a smell of concrete, moisture and what leaks from under the shell. The rooms are extremely stuffy, you can hardly sleep at such temperatures. Meals quite ok, although for several days ran out of chicken and once even pineapple (the main fruit of Zanzibar!). What I dont like is that you can order on the room at the bars, but youll never get a copy of your order. Everything goes to the office and after a few days when you pay your obligations, you dont know if you really pay only for what you ordered. It happened to me once that white wine was added, I caught it luckily. Meals are ok, but when ordering 2 the same dishes with the same additions, one dish had all the extras and the other did not. Attention was drawn to consternation - no one deigned to say - we are sorry we lacked this or that, gives the customer and either notices or not, but you pay as if everything was done, unless you start fighting for yours. Weak. PiliPili employees are friendly and willing to help, but they will not skip everything. Breakfasts are monotonous - day by day the same. A plus are Polish-language trips and the fact that guests at PiliPili are Poles, thanks to which the vacation is really nice! I am afraid that after opening the building under construction there will be one big squeeze (and there is not enough space anyway), and the hotel guest will not be Sławek, Tomek or Beata but simply a room number. One more important information to summarize - if you are not a Facebook friend and do not follow the PiliPili profile then you will not learn anything. All the time, every day during the holidays, I learned more and more new things - e.g. that by buying dinners in advance for the whole stay you pay 15 instead of 20 USD, that you are entitled to beer for dinner and coconut to drink for breakfast, that dinner consisting the starter, main course and dessert can only be purchased in one part (e.g. only the main course). Those who have not been to PiliPila for the first time also say that everything is going worse. Generally speaking, the day before departure many guests complained, but somehow nobody has the courage to write it. So Ill do it partly on their behalf and do it on Google, because apparently bad reviews from FB are immediately removed. To sum up - a pleasant holiday, very nice people, employees try (Mateusz, Dana, Agnieszka), but the resort itself will not tempt me to return to this place.
Awesome vibe! Very friendly people 😊
Nice place only no umbrellas and sunbeds on the beach but it is probably caused by low tides.
I will recommend this object and its HOSTS whenever and wherever. A unique atmosphere, excellent cuisine and a wonderful view of the ocean. A place that you really want to come back to, and this is not a common feature.
Great atmosphere and excellent cuisine. Great location next to a beautiful beach and facilities with a swimming pool. I highly recommend a stay or even a trip for snacks.
Great place with great cocktails you can go there without hesitation
I had the great pleasure to be a guest of Pili Pili House, clean rooms cleaned every day, decorated very nicely in relation to the place where we are. The food was excellent, we tried something different everyday and it was always tasty. Breakfast served in a great style, lots of fruit, delicious bread and nothing can compare with coffee in the morning on the ocean shore. A three-course dinner each time brought us to our knees. The facility is located in a great location, the views are breathtaking. You can feel the homey atmosphere in this city very quickly, everyone is smiling and friendly, great service. The guys running Pili Pili House and Pili Pili Boutique Lodge are great people with passion. To sum up, I sincerely recommend to visit Pili Pili House in Zanzibar because of its location, food but mainly because of people.
An atmospheric place, run by Poles. Room a bit cramped, but for two nights it was ok, fridge and fan in the room. Tasty breakfasts (fruit, pancakes, toasts, eggs, tomato, cucumber, cheese, nutella). Own terrace / balcony. I would recommend!
Fantastic. Location. Decoration. Atmosphere thanks to Marek, Deniss and Rossa. Delicious breakfasts. Fantastic dinners. We are already 2 times and probably will be back soon.
Stay of 5 days and 4 nights. The hotel is top notch, as are the managers and staff, always smiling and attentive. The daily provision of water bottles is really significant. Hotel located feet in the water, possible access to a small pool, is very nice. The breakfast is hearty and varied, the dinner quality. The provision of a mobile router for Internet access everywhere is really a lot more! I highly recommend this hotel !! Authentic stay.
The place is not for rest, there is no beach, grass, hedgehogs, rezot niche so
Great organization of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. Great people who help children in Poland and Zanzibar. It is worth to surround yourself with people with such big hearts. Regards!!!
Everything great there, price more than okay!
Friendly service but little space.
Nice place good food, run by Poles. Must to visit. A great place, the owner of the Pole.
Good place in pepper
Beautiful place. Magic !!!
