Me and a friend (Dutch) wanted to do a roadtrip through Tanzania. We needed a good and big car, otherwise driving through national parks is too difficult, and from a reputable source, since you dont want to have any trouble with insurance or road assistance in an African country where you are not familiar.After doing quite some research we found XCAR, gave them a chance and got so much more than we wished for! The manager helped us with literally anything, the process was very smooth and professional. We got a new and proper car (Landcruiser Prada) and drove 2400km with it in a week. Was a great experience, both the roadtrip and renting with XCAR. Are you from a Western country and want a reputable rental company to do a self-driving adventure? Go with them!

Shifty operations, very small selection of vehicles and notoriously unresponsive. Wouldnt recommend.
