The common areas are great, as is the outdoor space on the beach and bar. Food (buffet breakfast and restaurant meals) were pretty good for the price. Our room was okay, comfortable bed and nice size. The floors were filthy from our first steps inside. The bottom of my feet were dark brown within a step or two in our room. The balcony was also filthy, with obviously months if not years of dust and grime caked up including on the outdoor furniture. Our shower was clogged to the extent it flooded the bathroom each shower. We flagged this repeatedly with the front desk (3 times over our 3 day stay). Each time we were promised they would fix or move our room but they never actually did anything. We also did not get our room cleaned the whole stay, despite leaving the clean request outside our door and asking reception directly. One day the cleaner moved the clean request back inside and only replaced two towels rather than do any cleaning. This hotel is definitely not 4 star as advertised on our booking platform but was a pretty good value for the cost/location/outdoor amenities if you ignore the cleanliness and customer service issues.
Location is good, far from town which allows you some quiet and peace, something I always look for.The swimming pool is bigger than the average. The rooms are big with AC and a balcony with a rejuvenating view of the ocean 😌😌Access to boat rides is fast. I loved Mudia Island. The sandy beach, oh my 🙂. Carry your bluetooth speaker in case you would wanna jam a bit.I hope to see you again my man Rashid!! 😎
I have been the second time in this big hotel north of Dar es Salaam. Great view, a very good pool. Good breakfast. Friendly staff although sometimes a little bit slow. The rooms are outdated so check the room facilities good before dropping the luggage. Especially the bathroom. The wifi is shaky. The bar is nice but calm. Safe place.
Could definetly be a nice place, and I cant speak about the hotel itself, as we only used the pool area.Staff is generally nice and serviceminded, but what really brings my evaluation down to 1 star, is partly birds and playground for the smallest kids. Playground is so corroded that its irresponsible at the best to use and a deathtrap in worst case. There are big holes in the main construction from rust, where a kid easily can get both foot and leg down and get terrible wounded.......simply embarrassing......Part 2 is the birds ...... Well, I do know that its a hard problem to deal with, but what really strucks me is that no one from the staff are willing to at least go there and scare the birds away when they can clearly see that personally belongings are getting destroyed no less than 4 times. I simply dont get that.......There is literally no chance that we will ever return to that place again....... Sadly....
The views are everything but the service and the hotel was a horrible experience The staff are fake friendly and talk about you in Swahili. They stare at you and whisper to each other the owner is Very rude. The beach was full of trash and dirty diapers the resort is full of crows that will steal your food and belongings. The water leaked in the bathroom, the breakfast was the same everyday I would not recommend this place !!!!!!!!! No to Landmark hotel and resort
Stayed here for 3 days, breakfast and the general ambience was great but need to improve cleanliness in the rooms. Fabrics on furnitures such as sofa should be washed and reduce sweat smell in rooms.
Top notch 👌 the sea view is so breath taking I enjoyed my stay to fullest would definitely come back and recommend 👌 to travelers out there
The place is nice but the service of food was poor...too much oil in the food...but all in all Tanzania has poor customer care..
The room which we got it had fantastic scenic views but the room overall needed some maintenance to be done.
The resort is really good and their customer service is nice.Cant wait to return
Its a nice hotel but rooms are closer a those on guests house
The worst experience I have ever had, poor service with total disrespectful. I was super hungry and ordered food and drinks and the waitress provided drinks then she left without saying a thing while they just told me they are preparing the food. We waited 2 hours then went to ask what was happening and they said they all left at the kitchen including the waitress.
Has a nice view of the ocean but its not clean. The pool is clean but its very salty and the service is slow.
A very good place!!! I recommend the place indeed.
Very nice hotel on Mbezi Beach.Hotel staff is excellent. They all make you feel welcome.Rooms are very large and very comfortable. The pool area is also very nice, and well maintained. The hotel is very clean, quiet and safe. The breakfast buffet is very good with a lot of choicesI am going to go back there to stay during my next trip to Dar es Salaam.I highly recommend this hotel.
I loved our stay. The staff did everything possible to make us comfortable. I had large suite with my two children. The breakfast was awesome. The pool was fun and very close to private island. Hopefully we will be back. AsanteAeishah, Nate and Pearl :-)
Greetings GM Farhad,Thanks for such a great hospitality and gratitude you had shown on our arrival and an upgrade we received on our booking from garden view to sea view rooms me n my family really enjoyed our stay at landmark beach resort.Excellent roomsExcellent foodGreat serviceWe will be back for sureCongratulations landmark team bravo👍👌🙂🙏
Although we heard mixed reviews but when we went for Easter 4th April to 5th April we had a nice stay though it was busy but the manager Fahad was great and kind he allowed us to check the room for our satisfaction and the garden room 314 we stayed at was good the TV didnt work but they did come to try and sort when it failed the manager provided us a discount for our dinner meal which was kind of him . Swimming pool was nice at evening the crowd was less water was good and warm . Beach was slightly dirty but still not too bad managed to enjoy . The waiter Rashid was friendly and food was nice .
User to be good few years back but right now not that much
There were somethings which were good and some bad during my visitors stay. The bad ones; there was no running hot water, The wardrobe door was broken and The prices which were kept when i booked and when i came to pay at the reception changed. For a hotel which is supposed to be classic it is a very poor stay for my visitor. Please change.Other than that the food, swimming and comfortability in the rooms were good enough.
Bad condition ac, tv and room. Smell bad. I cannot belive this hotel has got 4 stars. There are many hotels staff rated high point on everywhere. Dont believe them.
The pool water is salty, Im not sure if thats normal🤮🤮🤮
Stayed at this hotel for a eek in one of their luxury suite.Plenty of space, great services, good customer care and clean swimming pool.Spacious meeting conferences. They have great kids play zone and services. All in all its quite a place you want to be for a get away. If you love beach and beach trips then you want to be here.
Nice place, though it doesnt make sense for room service cost 5000tsh
I had the worst experience in landmark today, the manager (Fahad) was so rude and provided poor customer service. If I could give 0 star rating it would have been perfect to express my experience today! I wouldnt recommend this place!
Very wide swimming pool. Best forreal pool swimming.
Without doubt one of the sweetest hot spot swimming and hangout .Among the most favorite hotels in Dar! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very flexible (appreciate this!) and the restaurant supervisor deserves a special thanks. I had a great after non, which obviously also added up to the experience. The atmosphere is so special that it really felt so good. All respect for the general manager who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality!
We enjoyed our stay, the room was good, would have preferred a top sheet on the bed rather than a warm cover. The room floor felt dirty on the feet and there were no hangers in the wardrobe.I thought the breakfast choices were an odd selection. The french toast was inedible (tough) and the potatoes undercooked. The lobby was a little stark and uninviting.Loved the pool and surrounding area.Would come again.
This place was excellent! The manager was so caring and asked me how my stay was, how it could be improved. The food was good. Accommodation was excellent. Very large room with food facilities and comfort. The pool was well maintained and pleasant to swim in. I would recommend this place to anybody wishing to have a relaxing stay in Dar es Salaam.
This cant be 4 star Hotel please downgrade to 2 or 3 star on a good day. Ac not working, Tv not working, Terrible room service, Rooms not clean. Only pool and location good.
The personal and the cleaning of the room is great but the maintenance and wifi is worst.. We had to moved 3 times to 3 different rooms, 1st issue on room 219 is the Air conditioner was broken.. Moved us then to 117, the sink and wifi was broken, after 2 days the manager requested us to moved to 215 because need to do repair the room, at midnight is the A/C on 215 broken then we had to move again to 117 which was no reparations done at all.. No a real apologize from management only from the staff which they cant do anything too.. We also disappointed with the breakfast quality.. Totally is really disappointing.!!
The place is just awesome and the pool is also unique they have put the pool right across the sun so that the swimmers can get some sunshine on their faces. Unless like other hotels they built there swimming pools in the shade. Also the rooms are up to date and the best thing of all they give you free Wi-Fi which is fast.
My first stay here for 5 days were great. All was good. This time around we stayed for 3 weeks and Im extremely disappointed. The overall feel of the hotel is good. Rooms are fitted with whats needed, and you can sleep in peace. Food and service is the major problem here. In the 3 weeks here we ate lunch only twice here, because either we werent being served or we didnt want to wait the usual 1+hour for food. They are low on personnel and EVERYONE was looking for waiters. Either this is missing from the menu or yiy get the wrong order or they inform you and hour after youve placed your order they dont have it. We were just over it and went out to eat at other places. If youre staying for 2 days you wont mind the service, but more days and you will get annoyed. Sad, because it has so much potential.
My 1st experience was very good but for the 2nd time when i went and took shower....water was not draining and my room was filled with water. We complained about this to reception and authorities but only they can do was just cleaning. We requested for room change but they did not provide and even was not cared what we are facing. We were calling again and again than too cold replies. Twice we went to meet the manager but nobody responds and says sorry for whatever happened. Really you people are not working as professionals and irresponsible.
We stayed here for two nights. The property looks pretty new and there was some outside construction, which was a bit annoying by not able to use balcony. The swimming is huge besides the beach, which is great. There are lots of sitting areas for serving meals, beachside or inside. Room is bright and clean with all the stuff we need. The staff are all friendly and helpful. Its been really nice experience to stay here.
Very good place with good sea view
The place is great, but the food that we ordered (goat meat for example) was raw and not cooked well. But maybe it was a one time thing only that happened to us. They did solve it well with removing the raw dishes from the bill!
I do not know about the rooms, but I use the buffet breakfast regularly and the quality is great, so are the staff.
Nice location and nice facility. They had trouble making sure there were enough beds and enough towels in rooms. Similarly keeping the buffet line stocked with food or coffee cups seemed to be a challenge. The food was very nice. Jangwani beach club, just next door, made some nights a bit loud. I would try to get a room away from the jangwani side of the building.
Overall a good place, price and view of the sea are very well fitted together. However, do not buy half board or full board. They only offer it half-hearted. You have access to the half for the menu in the restaurant, not the expensive items of the menu. However, between the cheapest item at the menu card to the most expensive is around 10.000 Tanzania shilling. (4 USD). So it makes them look cheapy and it is a struggle to be allowed to just pay the difference of the food. If you want your expensive item you have to pay full price again.
Nice rooms, Excellent customer service & foods. Conference facilities are offered at reasonable prices, hotel have enough space to accommodate many meetings at once, from a big hall to medium sized and relatively small meeting rooms.
The jury is out on this one. At best the general standard is mediocre. The rooms are not at a high std of cleanliness. Towels, toiletries etc are often not replaced. English is very poor, making requests problematic. Back up taxi service is not reliable. Pool has been green for 4 days and the worst the pool area is open to the general public on weekends making it impossible for guests to use the facilities. The hotel is not relative to the prices charged.
Moisty stinky rooms,at least on the top floor. Staff steals underwear from the room.Food is not good. Pool is nice but not well cleaned. There are enough beds available by the pool. Serving staff is friendly. They get payed aboutc75€ a month..so tipping is welcome although Tamzania should improve the salary conditions.
Beautiful aura, like in zanzibar from a distance, sea breeze.Hotel like 5star.awesome food and just all beauty👌
The place is good but customer service very poor. Bad thing is racism...I arrived to the property earlier, they took about two hours arranging my room, a white man came two hours after me and they stop serving me and I was ordered to wait more so that they serve him before me!
Stayed in this top hotel for 2 nights and had the joy of being robbed. Went down for breakfast one morning went back to my room 20 mins later to discover my door had been completely smashed down and my valuables taken. My room was next to the stairs leading down to the reception and administration offices but no-one heard my door being smashed down? I had to tell them to review their CCTV and when they eventually did they discovered that the gentlemen who smashed my door down was the guest next door to my door? How convenient who checked him right next to my room? And when they found out it was him he had already checked out. Someone maybe gave him a head start? Prior to being robbed I noticed there was always lots of security there. But when I went to reception to report this crime no security could be found? Dear travelers it pains me to say this but AVOID this hotel.
Nice ambience lovely beach especially around morning time 9-12 looks awesome. Breakfast is quiet satisfying aswell. Pool is clean and well maintained
Very nice
Staff are friendly. Rooms are spacious and have most of the amenities. Shower bath hot water AC, TV, wi-fi. Bed is big and comfy with a mosy net if you want it. View from the back of the hotel is very nice. The big problem is noise from jangwani night club next door. There is also a lack of attention to detail and finish that is a shame. No plug for the bath, cupboards that dont close and handles bizarrely were inside?!. Breakfast is typical for the area and unused some sweet breads, fresh fruit and cooked items not to European tastes. Coffee is only local africaf instant. If you get a good price and like the area no problems.
The hotel is located in a well sought after suburb in Dar es Salaam. The quality of the hotels finishers is a far cry from from the 4-star establishment it claims to be e.g. there are no measures put in place to curb the mosquito problem common to the area, besides the mosquito nets. Other than that you will get bitten either in the lift, dinning hall or in the reception. The private beach its located on has litter on the beach making it a health and safety risk for bathers. The staff try very hard to provide the best service possible but its unfortunate that their efforts are tainted by the lack overall quality of the establishment. Its 4 star rating needs to be revisited.
Stayed here for five nights. Had to go to Morogoro for one night in between the stay and they were more than willing to store my luggage. The staff were friendly and quite responsive to requests. I tried both the room with sea view and one without, all were clean, cozy with mostly good internet connectivity. Bath tub is a bit small though. Sorry, no bacon for breakfast, but enough options to have a filling start to the day. Enjoyed the large swimming pool and ease of access to Uber cabs.OK
You get access to a big swimming pool for adults and a small one for the kids, an array of cuisines to pick from...and a beautiful view of the beach! For those looking to spend a night, youre in luck! There are spacious deluxe rooms with windows facing the ocean.PS: The beach is not often maintaned hence you might find it dirty most of the time.
Great hotel for the price. If you choose sea facing rooms then you get more value than you pay for. Rooms are neat, clean and spacious. If you like to spend time on the beach then you have it.
Its a great place to be.. big and good swimming pool, the weather is amazing nice service..the food is great a lot of amazing choices to make the place is brilliant for a family hangout or even alone the place is along the beach so fresh air from the Indian ocean..great view, availability of nice bedrooms with great prices.
Nice and good rooms, beach, food and also staff are very friendly to a customers.
Nice place to be. Affordable prices. Good food. Internet access to be improved though! But you can still easily connect at the restaurant, bar with a great sea view.
I went swimming yesterday, it costs 15,000 tsh. My friend and I got stopped by the life guards claiming that we cannot swim until we have swimming caps on because of our hair (my friend had natural hair, I had a normal extension) and he told us it was a rule there, we did not have any but they told us that they sell for 30,000tsh or we can rent it for 5,000 tsh. We did not want to argue so we did. After a while we saw some tourists get into the pool without a swimming cap. We honestly were not having it. We confronted them about how unfair it was. That was more of a racist act and I will not come back there to swim.
Excellent hôtel the good accueil they are so nice and the hôtel propre the breakfast good magnifique place you take your breakfast with pleasure the manager is so nice personnes I love that place there foods Excellent sweet food Bravo 💯👍💐
Love this place. Friendly staffs , good swimming pool and also beach resort. Good environment.
A very good place to find your lifemate especially if youre interested in partying 😜😜😜
A good hotel and you can using the swimming pool for only 10.000 tsh.It is located at Mbezi beach and can be easily reached by bajaj or private car,. It is not crowded like as nearby hotels during weekend so can can enjoy swimming while listen music from the dj. They also have a small pool for kids.FacilityParking lotswimming poolBar and RestaurentFree Wifi in a roomPlaying area or kids
The Manager of the hotel amazing but the staff at the reception especially the slim guy and one dark lady who was on the night shift on 21/03/2019 extremely rude restaurant staff amazing but they safe a hotel is the lobby if they mess that up thats it am a dissapointed client management you doing a good job but some people in there are out to ruin the hotel.
This is a nice place for internaltional meeting. We got all the facilities we required supplied on right time. Rooms well planned with all facilities. Wonderful place to stay
For the most part everything was grea. I was there for a meeting.i had not thepleasure of enjoying there diverse amenities
Very good customer service nice and quite Oceanside view cabanas peace full an Olympic size pool
Rooms are ok ,the restaurant is goodBut the hotel it self is not well developed
Filled with good service and really loved the live music on 2021s new years eve.
It is a very nice place to spend the weekend. there is a 3ft pool for kids and another 3 to 8 ft pool for adults. there also is free wi-fi which is also available in rooms.
Its absolutely value for money. Compared to other places in Dar it delivers much more than what you would expect for the price. Very good clean accommodation on the beach front and good food.
Great. Service, nice waitresses and waiters. Clean beach. Nice place for weekend
Nice place comfortable very good swimming pool
Fair prices, nice swimming pool, large rooms and great hotel view, there is no buffet food, few facilities not well maintained.
Poorly maintained hotel. Beach was dirty and the food was not good. Staff was friendly.
Pretty good. Relaxed ambiance, perfect view, excellent rooms, great service... I will go back soon
Not bad
Words cant explain how heart warming, charming and nice everything was at landmark resort, from the staffs to the meals and the surroundings, just perfect. I had the best days of my life and sure to come back soon
Good place, I recommend ...it is fine compared to other places, the pool is clean...(you need to pay to enter 15.000tzs)
Nice place against its price , only the beach needs to be improved,,, pay more for the sea view but trust it deserves
Very serene and crispy clear morning sunrise at Landmark Beach Resort, Mbezi Beach.
Above average facilities, good views from top floors, great service staff. Management sometimes lacks strategy in planning for large groups...
