As big as the hype is about the place, the staffs hospitality is equally small. I was at the cafe with my family and together with other items, we ordered black coffee. Everything was fine until a FLY dropped halfway through the coffee. The place has too many flies which is so irritating for a big franchise Youd expect them to not bill us the coffee since we couldnt continue having it flavoured with the fly- THEY CHARGED US saying when the coffee came to you there was no fly. I wonder if one would deliberately put a fly in their coffee..??? Very dissatisfied and disappointed in them. Shame! What a Christmas Eve 😑

Its very nice place but very Disappointed on our first visit 😞 after ordering drinks & Buns, after drinking our drinks the Buns were not served although we waited for an hour and cancelled the order of Buns 😞 we were very disappointed when we saw people come after us being served before us.

Nice place for relax , and enjoy coffee. Not suteable for vegans, and vegetarian. But still they can enjoy Fresh juce, coffee and some drinks .

Caramel, nutella and pistachio topped buns are must haves! You should also try their green tea. It is well accessorised with tiny hour glasses to assist you to determine the tea strength.There are just so many things to love about the place. Definitely visiting again🤩

There are many reasons to visit here.1. Spacious area. There are many tables not only outside but also inside.2. Pleasant atmosphere. The area including toilet is clean. Inside cool, outside fresh.3. Featured Coffee Bun. This cafe is famous for Coffee Bun. They make it professionally. There are various toppings. I strongly recommend cheese topping. (I think it is expensive a little bit.)4. Drinks menus are also good. Especially PappaRoti milk tea(Hot) is creamy & sweet.5. Kind staffs and good service. Almost staffs try to make guests feel comfortable.6. Closing time. PappaRoti closes 2:30am everyday. There is no cafe or store which closes at that time in Masaki except PappaRoti.

Cool new spot with the world-famous buns, all sorts of toppings both sweet and savoury.The buns themselves are crunchy on the outside and very soft and buttery on the inside. I recommend the salted caramel as a topping, nutella is great too.Huge variety of drinks; the peach iced tea is def worth trying.Lots of seating available, both indoors and outdoors, well spaced apart. *Most of the staff wear masks.Only reason Im not giving 5 stars is because I wish theyd use proper cutlery (not the plastic disposable stuff) as well as reusable straws, from an eco-friendly perspective. And the buns themselves seem a bit overpriced. Otherwise its a great place to try.

I found the buns a little expensive and never tried any snacks here but i liked the drinks and the nice terrace. Clean and comfortable. The Staff was very attentive and friendly!

Very posh cafe, has beautiful indoors and the outdoors at night have a beautiful ambiance to it. The food is delicious and the signature buns are from Dubai, the taste delicious with any topping of your choice!

There was a lot of hype about Papparoti here in Dar which made me try it out. The ambiance was nice, noisy for a cafe but not very bad. The seating was more than adequate with sets of tables and chairs indoors as well as outdoors. Also, it was very irritating to have so many flies around while eating.I had their signature buns- Nutella Hazelnut and Cheese topped buns and a mochacino. The wait time of 45mins for basically just a bun topped with Nutella/cheese was a lot for my liking considering it wasnt too busy on the given day and there was a lot of staff at work.UPDATE: theyve worked on their preparation time and I got my food super quick on my next visit.Taste was great but not extraordinary, I was also expecting a larger portion but wasnt too disappointed with what I got. As for the service, their staff were attentive and well presented.Overall, Id say Papparoti is well worth a try but Im not sure if Id visit very frequently.

Classic restaurants have started to become a common thing in Dar es salaam. But pappa rotti doesnt want to be common. I love their classic lighting and setting. Very large sitting area and the ambience is great. Parking area can also accommodate alot of cars. Food is tasty and affordable. Their passion juice is not only the tastiest in Dar es salaam, but also their glass is the largest out off all juice glasses in all restaurants i have ever visited in Dar es salaam.Their staff are so trained that made me want to stay for more hours. This will be my Saturday spot. Please put WiFi.

Cool place, delicious food with amaizing environment

50% of time it’s great and 50% of time it’s bad. When it’s great that means the buns are nice and hot with soft centers. When it’s bad the buns are old and have hard centers and there are barely any toppings (though you pay 4000 extra for toppings). Can’t justify taking a 50/50 gamble there anymore.

This is my second review on pappa rotti however with at least 6-7 times visit with friends.I was surprised that on social media there was a boom on all fancy and great photos but the fact that service grade is decreasing.My friend has ordered beef fillet with chips first but after while the waiter informed us there’s no chips ready. I have order fresh orange juice then be informed there’s no orange, then they referred me choosing passion fruit juice after while be informed again there’s no passion plz choose other so I picked avocado then again there’s no avocado I have to choose mango juice.The espresso that I have the coffee cup was dirty with stain on the cup and plate that I have to tell barista plz change for me. The Greek salad I received was totally not the GREEK salad, the waiter saw me with confusing face then he invited the manager explained me they don’t have the cherry tomatoes and rocket veggies. Was surprised but had no choice right ? The cheese in their “geek salad” isn’t feta cheese it’s like cheddar cheese. The manager said “you know local market isn’t stable.” What’s that mean? The client would be more comfortable if you just apologized and told the truth that you didn’t prepare for these ingredients.It’s a nice place for photos, the baked bun and a cup of papa milk tea. I am glad that the nice decor is providing a place for gathering but the food and service just don’t expect too much with the performance right now so far.Positive thing is servers are friendly.For foodie friend who’s looking for higher standard of service and food and beverage sincerely I recommend their neighbor cafe like epicdor/ levant / orchid cafe.For this second review sincerely wish to give these comment and advise to visitors and owner.P.s. the ladies toilet is too stuffy.

Newly opened Francaise of Pappa RotiThe opening was much awaited, running at full house almost all the time! Even then they could manage to serve within a not so long waiting time.The buns and the tea which are the speciality lived up to expectation and standards! Thoroughly enjoyed them! Especially the buttery sweet mouth melting buns! And the many topping options! They even serve hot, cold beverages and light foods such as chicken wings, nachos, etc..The outdoor and vibrant distanced indoor seating is appreciated. Good parking available and you can also be attended and served right from your parked car, no need to get off if you don’t feel like!

Don’t bother coming here. Went three times to have their famous bun, each time they were out of stock. To add insult to injury they also did not have any Wi-Fi as the wi fi was down.

I go to Pappa rotti from time to time but this time in particular I left mad😠. I ordered the simplest food on the menu but ended up waiting longer than I ever had to wait. All the juices I needed first they didnt have and the ones we took werent as good as other times.To sum all these up! The quality of Pappa rotti is decreasing everytime. Even the straws were different this time.

I usually refrain from posting negative reviews. Our experience at Papparoti Masaki was such a downer to say the least. We were 9 of us and there were issues with almost all of our orders. To begin with it took them ages (1.5 hours) to bring the orders for 2-3 people. From overcooked and spoilt meat, dry buns, cold burgers to most drinks being unavailable - there was disappointment in everything. They also brought half an order first and the other half of it 1 hour later. We heard the chef yelling loudly at the cooks. The reason we were given for the lateness is because their boss arrived and they had to prioritize their order instead of ours. Also, there were flies everywhere. Our experience was dreadful and we shall definitely NOT be going there again.

Highly rated, poor service and food. The hype is that its glittery and new style cafe which serves you with warm coffee and not so great food. I know my way round arabica and had not fair share of Starbucks coffee to know how a good espresso/cappuccino tastes. I ordered a veggie burger with chips and was informed that they ran out of chips. So surprised and delighted I was when the plate came with lots of stir fried veggies. But that excitement was short felt when I saw the state of the bread and tasted the veggies which was over seasoned with what looks like 4 spoons of salt. With hunger and warm coffee I ate the yesterday bun and left with a feeling of coming down to another adventure to another coffee shop.

My family and I went Saturday night (peak hours). We were incredibly disappointed by our treatment. Incredibly understaffed during their busiest time, absolutely zero service. Constant noise of dropped items from the nearby kitchen and inexperienced staff running around. The architecture and food were very good, but no nearly enough to swing the experience into a positive one.This place is only worth going to when completely devoid of customers, or else youll simply starve to death whilst teenagers take Instagram pics around you. 1/5.

We loved the place, so good environment to work, have a coffee or lunch.the green areas really good and the best was the amazing service from the staff. prices are razonable as well. The only point that is missing is that they dont offer WiFi so if you think to go and work from there this point is really critical..for the rest really good, tasty food.
