Wow wow Wow. We have just spent two nights at the Melia Serengeti hotel with three days of safari and had the most incredible experience. Upon arrival at the Seronara airstrip our safari guide, Vincent, collected us and took us straight for a picnic at a campsite in the Serengeti. From there we set off for a 4 hour safari on the way back to the hotel. On this journey we were incredibly lucky to see a pride of 6 female lions stalk and attack a Buffalo! We also saw a vast variety of other animals including elephants, giraffes, warthogs, hyena, jackal, crocodile, hippos, wildebeest, impala and many, many more!We had the choice of which safari we wanted for our second day so we opted for a morning safari so we could arrive back to the hotel for lunch - we also had the option of a full day safari but we wanted to spend the afternoon enjoying the hotel facilities.The following morning we were up early again and had breakfast before checking out and setting off early for the airport as we were hoping incase we saw anything on the way... and did we see some sights!! We first came across a pride of 9 lions with 4 small Cubs! We sat watching them for a while and moved on. About 5 minutes up the road were two males on the road side following a scent. We were so close to them! The strolled in front of our car and carried on into the bushes. We then saw them stalking another female with 6-7 young cubs! The Cubs ran off to the right whilst the mum walked to the left. The largest male began to track her and it turned into a chase as the male started running after the female!! We followed parallel to them and realized behind us on the left side of the road was a family of giraffes who also started running as they had spotted the lions as well!Vincent made the entire experience even more amazing with his knowledge of all the animals as well as his incredible sighting skills!

We just got back from Safari and used Dolphin Tours for their vehicle. From the time we were received at Mwanza airport, until the final drop off, Matthews and Mayombe our drivers/guide had been extremely friendly and hospitable and patient with us throughout the trip. Not only were our guides fun, but they also had very sharp eyes, and thanks to them we saw almost everything.Our Land cruisers were in great condition, very spacious, comfortable and clean. Both our cars were open roof, had cooling fridges, charging sockets and binoculars - making it a very pleasant experience!Overall, the trip was planned so well. Thank you Dolphin Tours and Fahim for coordinating patiently with us, and making it an unforgettable experience! I would highly recommend Dolphin Tours to anyone and everyone that is planning on going on Safari, you are ensured to have the best trip! Asanteni sana!

Best car rental experience we ever had! After e-mailing for months with all kind of not so trustworthy and /or extremely expensive companies, got in touch with Dolphin after tip from locals.We rented a car in mwanza, drove with a driver for four days through Serengeti and ngorongoro until Arusha where we dropped off the driver and continued on our own to Dar es salaam where we left the car.The company is very big and mainly does transport & services for companies. The owner welcomed us and was extremely friendly and professional. We paid 25% online upfront and when we arrived the warranty was reserved on our credit card so we didnt have to bring it in cash.Our driver was not only an excellent driver, he is also a great person and more punctual than the average German :-) he learned us a lot about animals, did a wonderful job guiding us through the nature parks and spotting animals and saved us a lot of hassle by helping out with administration and finding local places. We are very grateful for his help, patience and expertise!When arriving in Dar was Salaam on a Sunday, the manager was waiting for us, welcomed us and helped us reaching out place to stay. Thanks!The car was in excellent shape, well maintained and we had no problem whatsoever.Would absolutely recommended this company for their professionalism, personal approach, great communication, great gear and always being very correct and punctual. They have offices in mwanza and Dar es Salaam and they told us they are expanding to Arusha as well.
