Nice views and classy restaurant. My coconut seafood dish was good but I took out 2 stars because we ordered a tuna dish with a milky sauce that was definitely off. The manager was understanding and did not charge us for that dish. I would mainly recommend this place for cocktails and desserts as the atmosphere is great and service is good.

The venue and the menu are both quite dated. It has the vibe you might find in the most popular restaurant in an oil town where the oil ran out 10 years ago. The service is painfully slow, the cocktails werent that great and the food was entirely unremarkable when it did arrive. The position of the restaurant (right on the cliff edge) means that the view is really nice, though, particularly at sunset and the sea breeze is very welcome in the high temperatures. When I visited on Sunday they had a live band which was nice. Id come here for a beer, but I wouldnt come for food and I wouldnt plan to hang around long. Other places nearby have similar sea views but a more lively ambience, more modern decor and better food (e.g. Cape Town Fish Market).

Several times being here, not once disappointed with the food and drinks. Though their service can be really slow sometimes, but I enjoy the product.The live band is always a nice entertainment in the evening. Also, if you have a birthday they can sing for you.

Very pleasant. Quite comforting to have been thermal scanned at the entrance and with the service personnel wearing masks. It is a marked departure from the usual nonchalance one observes in these trying times. Thoroughly enjoyed.

Great vibey atmosphere next to land-based casino.Live music band played great music selection.Wonderful views of the cove and sea beyond. Plenty of seating and tables were right next to the edge of the water for added ambiance of the waves coasting in.Good food however the lobster at R500 was quite bland and overally disappointing.Friendly service and cool bar area to hang out at and music was not too loud for conversation.Easy to access with plenty of parking and taxis outside.Walking distance to nearby Sea Cliff Hotel.Highly recommended for a sundowner drink and snack.

The cafe is not a place worth your time anymore. The service and presentation was below par. Their sense of cleanliness would leave you speechless. I say this cause it used to be quite good back then. I even saw a crow coming into the space and land onto the reception like it was a part of the crew. Disgusting!

Organised a surprise birthday dinner for my husband here in the Kaskazi lounge at Karambezi. We really enjoyed ourselves. The menu has improved a lot. The food is tasty & varied. The pricing is decent considering the location.

Lovely lively place. Great views of the ocean, beach and cliffs. Live music on Fridays and Saturdays. More importantly, live music that doesn’t suck. Good covers of current hits and easy listening. The food is great. I recommend the Zanzibar tray, with coconut prawns and plantain chips. Cocktails are basic but well executed, try a spicy mojito. Locals come here, always a good sign.

Visited on a Tuesday evening. Service was great, food was delicious and filling. The endless view of the Indian Ocean was tranquil and mesmerizing. The view alone is worth a visit.We enjoyed the red snapper fish cakes, seafood platter for 2, and cheesecake for dessert. Also we had two rounds of drinks which werent too weak or strong.The fish cakes were perfect. The platter was plentiful with prawns, shrimp, lobster, a whole fish, a fillet, and calamari. The cheesecake left more to be desired. The cheesecake tasted like straight cream cheese, without any sugar. Thankfully there was ice cream on the plate to balance it out.We would definitely return to try more dishes.

Excellent ambience. Great location. Delightful live music on Saturday nights. The food, however, was very average but the service was good overall. It may also just be the dish I ordered, so I would definitely return and try something else. Worth a visit.

I like this place first and foremost for its fabulous view. It is located right on the edge on the cliff and it feels like the ocean is just under you. Food is always on a high level, delicious and flavorful. It takes quite a time for the order to be served, but I think it is because restaurant is normally full in the evening. Service is excellent, very attentive and professional waiters, welcoming hostess. Prices are not cheap, but the place is definitely worth those money.

Even though the cheesecake was amazing but the ambience was heart breaking... what I last remember sea cliff as, a beautiful place with a heart warming view and a calm and soothing atmosphere, where I would sit and watch the ocean and sky meet at the horizon at day and feel the breeze at night...The toxic and polluted environment where surely families and children fail to come due to the environment created .Pub Alcohol... cigarettes ... women half naked ...Where is Tanzania heading! ... why are we being so influenced by the west?Whats happening to our values and culture ...

Love love love this cafe, it has an amazing see view. The have amazing food. Their services are the best. Even their wifi is very fast. Its definitely a good place to chill will friends or even alone. I highly recommend it.

View is great, service is good. Food wasn’t hot. I ordered the Nyama choma tray. It looked great but I like my food at least warm, definitely not lukewarm. May not come here again for food, maybe photos.

Walking distance from my actual home and have been several times for breakfast and dinner.Sunday morning beautiful view over the ocean very good variety of hot and cold items... Everything you want. If should say something, the country has beautiful tropical fruit present it better and assure its always offered. No need of strawberries and grapes they only expensive. Bread selection some rye and dark breads would be nice and to be honest price is not low, what is fine, but then include the espresso and cappuccino in it. The cost is really low for it.Dinner have not been disappointed some are great such as the tuna steak or the BBQ ribs. The steaks mmmm have eaten better and seems to be a meat quality issue. Dessert basics and as everywhere in DAR nothing special. Tropical fruit salad with V ice cream... Skip the grapes and strawberries no need.Service always attentive and polite at times a little bit distracted but fine.Weekend life music..

Great, exciting place overlooking the cliff (it is literally on the cliff) with an AMAZING view.Had Seafood Mishaki and it was okay and moderately spicy. The fries are very tasty!It has also got a live band on Saturday evenings. Recommended!

Beautiful restaurant / cafe in Seacliff Hotel. The view of the cliffs is amazing, the staff is kind, and the food is great! The costs are a bit high for Tanzanian standards, but you definitely get what you pay for. Do visit at least once, even if only for the great view!

Easily the coolest restaurant in Dar, no question. Its closest competitor, The Waterfront, makes you sit on stools and their crowd isnt very exciting.At Karambezi, youll get a great seat no matter when you arrive, be served great food, enjoy spectacular views, and be chilling with cool people.

My fiance stumbled upon this cafe since its a lil tucked away but we really liked it and ended up going back three times. The waiters were charming. The view especially on the deck is breathtaking though it can get cold in the evening. The chocolate fudge cake......wow! Every time my fiance and i are in Dar this a must stop over place.

Seven hour layover in Dar. Great way to eat some time. Great menu, great service and great prices. Make this your first choice-worth the Uber ride.

The view is breath taking. Right at the Peninsula in Dar es Salaam. A Mocha Frostie or a Capucino combined with the soothing wind on your face is the way to enjoy a nice hot meal. Thought the meal does get cold fast due to the wind. At night they do have quite some music during the weekends. But its ok if you go with family. However i would recomend rhe management increase a few bulns here ans there a little bit of light is needed we need to see what we are eating.

The view here is beautiful we sat on the second floor on a windy day and started out at the sea while our food was prepared. The food tastes good and is presented beautifully. The staff is very attentive and kind. The price is more reasonable than you would expect for a place with this kind if view. Its a good place to enjoy an afternoon lunch or sunset.

The food was good, although the garlic bread could definitely be crunchier (wasnt crunchy at all). One of our drinks arrived after the food and the music didnt really match the feel of the place and was a bit annoying. But, as said in the beginning, the food was good, the waiter was very nice and helpful and the ambiance (music aside) was good. Beautiful breeze and view of the sea.
