Lovely lovely place for a quick bite and a good coffee. The staff was sweet and I would for sure go back.

You dont get to experience personalised service in large restaurants.At the look of it this seemed like a small family owned restaurant hence the personalised service. It felt like taking breakfast at home. Great decor, minimalistic and with a good view of the busy Dar streets.

Tried their Karak Tea which was Nice ans strong. Rest of the items on the menu were very over priced. Ambience was well decorated but it temperature was Hot as no AC switched on and only 1-2 wall fans running.Will I come back to this place? No (Might come back for Tea)

Simply a tourist trap. Over priced and the quality is low as it can be. Avoid the espresso specially. Can not understand how this place has so many positive reviews.

We wandered into this cafe and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered coffee (mocha, cappuccino and a flat white) and all three were great. They were served hot and by a friendly server. The ambience was pleasant too albeit slightly noisy but it was worth it for the quality of coffee we got. The prices were reasonable too. The only downside was that it was a bit stuffy inside, not enough room to move as it wasnt very spacious. You can also get some quick bites here though there isnt a huge variety. Cant wait for my next visit and get me some delicious coffeeee!

OK I got the poutine out of curiousity and it was a disaster, but I was already expecting that. Get the Indian snacks instead.The teas are powdered, so stick to coffee. Its the only nice cafe around the area so its a bit of a haven but dont set expectations too high.Prices are a bit high considering the local area and quality of what you get.

Cozy place with style and serves variety of cold and hot drinks ranging from chai as its name with dishes and some wonderful desserts. You will enjoy nice aroma of either tea or coffee. I had the Iced coffee which had a wonderful and a bit of levelled sugar. The customer service is fast and good as it didnt take time to get what I ordered. It took less than 5 minutes which was a good thing. As I went there on Sunday, they close a bit early, but they waited for my colleagues and I to finish our meeting before closing up after we left. It is a wonderful place. Big up to them.

A nice cozy little cafe in the centre of Dar which is great if you’re just catching up with a friend or wanting to relax with family. Nice ambience, totally chilled out. Does the usual selection of food, Indian bitings, desserts, cold drinks, hot drinks and hot meals. Loved the fact that they had board games to play as well. My slight reservation lay in the sugar content of their drinks. Karak chai and shakes were good but way too much sugar! Clearly, that’s a personal preference.

Lovely spot in the centre of town! I really enjoyed the karak chai, which is a lightly sweet and strong tea. The curry puff with the coconut chutney and pilipili was delicious. Also, very affordable prices and chill atmosphere.

Great spot to relax and enjoy a cup of tea. Cafe is never too busy so you can take all the time in the world. Only gripe is that staff dont seem very happy serving customers, both time I was here.

Best global style cafe in Dar El Salaam. When you enter a cool and quiet air conditioned aoace you are greeting by nice service and art pieces around you. Apart from a regular selection of coffees they offer different ice coffees and different tastes of chai. They have code based wifi system, but no limitations on timing. A but pricey, but thats what you pay to get out of the bustling city.

The only western styled coffee place in Dar, with electricity sockets and different coffees.

I visited Chaiwala Cafe on 15 Aug. 2020. Coffee was great; and the staff are friendly. However please ensure that your food are freshly made. I had chicken pie in the afternoon; but a couple of hours after I ate the said pie, I had a stomach upset. I was in and out of the toilet due to a very bad diarrhea. My unfortunate situation lasted for a week.

*LATE LUNCH*Reasonable sandwich at reasonabkle price. Great coffee drinks. Had an iced coffee mocha which was delicious!

The beef patty was monstraus as a double combo, the masala fries were favorful and presentation was super good as taste was, i loved it

As opposed to the other Chiaiwala in the center, this one has a bad service, some customers are served with priority (maybe friends of the staff) while others must wait.Disappointing.Chaiwala, change your staff here, youre losing customers.

A lovely air-conditioned restaurant in the hustle & bustle of town! This restaurant is simple perfect for bitings. The servers were quick & served with a smile! The owners, a young couple helped me out with a lot information.A place you must visit!

This was a lovely corner of downtown. Had a nice cozy feel and not crowded on a Saturday. Great tea too...an interesting collection if you want to try out adventurous tea flavors :)

All the food here is cooked at their other location (just up the road) and biked here then reheated. It takes a very long time to get food. If youre not in a rush its fine, but note that its not going to be as fresh.They only serve breakfast and snack portion of their menu until noon, so you cant get their daily special in the morning.Drinks are 3000-5000 TSH and food ranges from 3000-15000 TSH which is quite reasonable.Free wifi, AC, and comfortable seats make it an ideal pre Zanzibar ferry stop as it is two blocks away from Azam Fast Ferries where you wont get hassled.

Lovely spot for a quick bite and some really good coffee selection. The Ying Yang Chai is a must try! They have hi top tables in a quite corner with sockets that make it perfect for studying and work. The food selection is unique and tasty! 10/10 would recommend!

I had a good expierence with the staff and the atmosphere was good but when it came to the food i realized that the food i orderd was sold to chaiwala by another person because i saw a sticker of the comapany . That was fine but they charged be 3× the ammount it was being sold at other places. I would not recomend anyone to visit chaiwala cafe

Great juices and coffee place. We didnt eat here, but the staff and owner seemed professional.

The food was yummy and the waiters were really nice. But the washrooms, they really have to improve the hygiene on that area they really stank.

The decor is apt so is the vibe extroverts crave for in coffee places. Cappucino is especially smooth and nuanced.
