I have been chasing Air Tanzania for over one year as they not only charged me twice for a flight, they also never processed my refund. I have contacted them on every single email address on the website since November 2020 and have had not one single person get back to me.

We try to get an answer from Air Tanzania since more than a month but they dont act. They charged us twice the price of our tickets in our bank account (almost 300€). We try to get a refund but they say only one amount has been debited with the booking number. We provided them the evidence thats not true. They have to check the name or bank account number because we trully have been debited twice. They dont answer anymore any of our messages.This company is not honest, we dont recommend them at all.

I must say I was displeased with my flight on air Tanzania not what I expected as I was using the airline for the first time .We where going to Zanzibar from Zambia with a stopover in Dar-esaalam so after check-in we expect to collect our luggage in Zanzibar . Well we collected our luggage at the daresalaam airport and had to check it in again for the Zanzibar flight it was so exhausting because we had quite a number of suitcases rushing from gate to another so that the plane does not leave us .As if that wasn’t enough , on our return our flight was delayed by 2 hrs and once we got to Zambia we found our luggage missing . We got 3 suitcases and 5 had remained . We filed in complaints and out bags came 4 days later luckily nothing was missing .

Very courteous staff. Competitive prices, best airline to travel to and from India. Plush seats with generous leg space, new and clean flight. Only the food needs to improve a bit. Full marks to the airlines.

I was forced to give one star only because I could not give them a big 0. Boy, Air Tanzania is so disappointing and uncaring. We had booked a flight leaving from Mwanza to Dar. In the pilot’s words the delay “was so that we would avoid a bumpy flight and would be more comfortable.” So it was not a safety issue, but perhaps he did not want to deal with some bumps along the way, something that I would have hoped he was trained to handle. Anyways we were scheduled to leave at 11am. It did not leave until 2pm. It caused us to miss our connecting flight. When we arrived at Dar we had to book a hotel because we could not leave until almost 20 hours later. Others on the same flight had difficulties and were stuck in Dar even longer. All of this over bumpy clouds. Oh and the best part, as I was waiting to speak to someone at the Air Tanzania counter, no manager showed up. The one ticketing agent available said she called a manager and we just have to wait. Hours later nobody came to even talk to us to address the situation. Thanks Air Tanzania for wasting my and other peoples’ time. Also your lack of response and care was appalling.

Nice office for Air Tanzania Company. You can also rent office from this building for your company. Easily accessible within the city centre. Have enough parking for visitors and tenants. Security is guaranteed 24hours.

THE WORST AIRLINE IVE EVER TRIEDMy friends warned me about Air Tanzanias reputation of delaying but I didnt think it was that terrible until experiencing it myself. The only 55-minute flight from Entebbe (Uganda) to Kilimanjaro (Tanzania) was delayed for 10.5 hours! All they gave me was a short and last-minute message from a personal number (a staff) via WhatsApp. Not having got that message in time, I showed up early in the airport then a staff promised to give those who are waiting lunch at 2pm, but it again came late. Due to all changed, all passengers who were supposed to arrive in Kilimanjaro airport at 3pm eventually arrived at 1am the next morning!One more thing to note out, they have very funny cancellation policy. On website, its possible with a cancellation fee, but when I rang different offices, even staffs in headquarters in Dar Es Salaam is not sure about the possibility of refund for people who booked online on their website and paid by credit card (only possible for those who buy in ticket office). And if its perhaps possible, it will take 6-10 weeks to refund. Ok its 2019 and we still need to purchase air ticket in ticket office?Only fly with this national airline when you have no other choice and you are fine with wasting money and time.

Worst airline experience by far. No notice a 25 min flight from Dar Es Salaam to Zanzibar was delayed for 4 hours, they changed the time of departure and it said it was on time. Had to wait in the sitting area without access to water or food. After that even the delay departure was not on time without noticing passengers. Not only no apology was provided, the staff are rude and unhelpful.

Air Tanzania Company Limited - Its Tanzanian government local airline company and their are very good in service if you travel being in Tanzanian.In 2019 they started success fully a flight going to DAR-BOM with low cost fare we must give a salute to John Pombe Magufuli, who is Tanzanian politician and the fifth President to take huge for this company.

So because we lost Dear Magufuli... this how y’all gonna have the planes!!! This could have gone very Bad!

Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL) is the national airline of Tanzania based in Dar es Salaam with its hub at Julius Nyerere International Airport. They have started Mumbai dar es salaam direct flight in 2019 which very much convenient for India as they can reach India in just 6 hours

This airline has recently acquired B787 dreamliner and 2 airbus A220-300,it also owns few Q400 de havillands propeller aircrafts which fly locally, rating for this airline is yet to be seen within the region
