Id probably stay here again if I had to go to Bukoba again as most hotels in town were noisy and crowded. Basic but clean, extremely friendly and helpful staff. Bird watchers might enjoy the garden with a good variety of birds.

For the following reasons I cannot recommend using the ELCT conference rooms:1. We had agreed on a catering package over email and paid full price for certain items which were not provided to us.2. The Supervisor is not a pleasant man to deal with. He is unfriendly, unprofessional and never checked in with us once during the 1.5 week of training to make sure things were running smoothly. When were paying 200,000tsh a day for a room plus 18,000tsh a day per person for food, youd think hed want to make sure the customers are happy. This would have easily solved other miscommunications that came from avoiding us. We tried to find him to discuss issues as they arose but it was clear that he was intentionally avoiding us.3. Without notice, our course was move to a smaller room which did not suit our needs and created a lot of extra work for our team. Again, this could have been avoided if the Supervisor (who sometimes calls himself the Manager) would have communicated with us.4. Water was included in our catering package, yet the Supervisor wanted to charge us an extra 2,000tsh per person per day of the training on top of what we were already paying which added up to almost $300 USD. This had not been discussed or agreed upon prior to the training. He told us that if we didnt pay the money that it would be taken from the staffs pockets. This didnt sit well with us since it was his error not theirs.5. The wifi didnt work in the conference rooms throughout our whole time there.6. We had to repeatedly ask staff to clean the washrooms since the womens toilet was broken and consistently overflowed.Really, our biggest issue was with the way the Supervisor conducted himself and how poorly he handled certain situations. With the exception of him, the staff were lovely and easy to work with. If you choose to use this venue then Id highly recommend asking the Supervisor to sit down in person and review expectations and understandings so that you dont find yourself in the same frustrating situations as we did.Regardless, Id recommend looking for a different venue to use in Bukoba.
