Nice building. Abandoned but interesting architecture. It’s mandatory to pay at the office (10.000 tzs)and if you don’t know it you may think someone is trying to fool you. Be careful at night as it may not be the safest place to hang. Some guides offer us a complete bagamoyo tour for 20000/ person. Nice places to eat nearby

The German and their Boma!Bagamoyo Old Boma was built and used by the German as their state house and leader’s residence at the end of 19th Century before being moved to Dar es Salaam. The same building was used by British as offices after World War One when the Germans lost the war. After Independence it was under the Government of Tanzania before turned into a historical building..These buildings are historic. They need to be renovated.

A fortress near the beach constructed inthe colonial era. Currently 2018 it is renovated to higher pleasing look. It is a German castle.
