Nice place to learn history, especially origin of Christianity and slave trade stuffs. Its very cheap and close to Bagamoyo town.

The Museum is self explanatory. At some point you might not need to have someone to take you through.At this point you will get to see the first point which Catholic mass was held for the first time in East African mainland.Moreover, Issues related to abolition of slave trade, WW1 and WW2.

It was a good place to be, I was here with my friends for a visit and we made some prayers and look around the museum besides. They have so good receptionist. Very respectful and God fearing.

Bagamoyo is a historic town, we got to visit the first church, and learn about how the first church helped to abolish slave trade in East Africa,The history of Dr David livingstone, the missionary who when he died, they carried his body from zambia to bagamoyo, where they travelled on foot for nine months to reach Bagamoyo, so that his body could be transported to London. Its a nice historic place to visit.

SLAVE TRADE TOURI must say its actually sad to go on this tour but you learn a lot into our history especially we Africans and Christians. We had a lovely chap and an amazing guide who knew his facts well on history and gave us ample time to ask questions on how the town bagamoyo was discovered by the missionaries in a bid to end slave trade. If you love African history, id recommend you visit this place :-)

It very interesting how Christianity it was introduced in 1868 when missionaries landed, and then 4 years later they built Historical Church which it was 1872.If you re a historic person when you visit here you will learn a lot.

Really interesting museum thoroughly covering the history of Bagamoyo, with a large collection of photos & items. We had a great chat with our friendly tour guide Stavanger, who was informative, helpful and engaging.

It was the place where people who were caught in the slave trade during their colonial times escaped. It is the place where Baga Moyos sad history is kept.

It is a dangerous place, such as forcibly extorting money from tourists and forcibly detaining them. Foreigners should never visit.

We had an English speaking tour who explained the historical background to us. Everything was very exciting and informative.
