The place in general is really nice and quiet - you can hear ocean waves in the morning through the open window if youre close enough.The price is very reasonable, but its also fair because the place has several points for improvements. There is no wifi, a bit nicer rooms on the higher level dont have AC, rooms at the lower level smell like theyve been there without any activity for ages, those rooms have also two beds squeezed in, even though theyre offered also as single rooms. Service is quite bad since the girl who was there understands English very poorly, the food is mediocre and selection of it was limited to fish, chicken and vegetables only. For beer they had only Castle Lite. They didnt pay much attention to tidying up for hours or even by the next day at the place we spent our day and evening.Overall, considering the low price, its good value for this money.

Amazing setting with beach access. Service was exceptional and food was good. Rooms are simple but spacious; bathroom could be improved but the shower was still good. It is about a half hour walk into town but I enjoyed walking along the beach and then along the streets on the way back. Highly recommend for the price. 😊

The Country Club is a splendid designed garden resort in the slope above southern Bagamoyo beach. The layout is simply beautiful and the park is attended with outmost care.Good and quiet place to stay a few days.Staff is very friendly and helpful, most of them understand english quite well.No TV on whole property - wonderful!They have a beautiful patio restaurant with excellent food, especially the wood oven pizzas are great!The drawback are the rooms. They are relatively clean and quite spacious with fairly ok bed, but there are severe lacks in maintenance of bathrooms and other structure, typically for african accommodations.In my case the AC not worked (in rain season for drying the room), toilet flush not worked properly (very very common), shower only few drops hot water due to very simple failure, but it looked like unattended for years. Generally unclean bath.Be also prepared for many hours without power a day, because power net of the whole town is very weak.They have a generator, but this is only a very provisorial one, which they run during worse outages during dinner or similar.While the missmaintenance is common to many african hotels and if you were already in other places, this may be not a big issue for you.If you directly come from Europe or America and experience that poor comfort for 55 US$ (single), it might be shocking. So be warned. The room rate is still to be considered as budget.

The green area is well maintained and the beach is very close. But that was already positive impressions. The rooms are dirty and long in the old. The fittings are broken or calcified. The sheets and towels have stains or holes. At breakfast one can speak of luck, if one is not hit by the droppings of the bats. The air conditioning works only partially and is louder than a tractor. This accommodation is not recommended !!!

Well located, pretty garden and decent cuisine according to arrivals. Everything on the map is not available ... Unfortunately the rooms are poorly maintained and especially the bathroom. The services indicated turn out to be non-existent, for example payment by credit card. It is rather expensive for what it is.
