Come here for a delicious vegetarian lunch cooked by local ladies. There’s no menu, just whatever they come up with on any given day, they are bringing out the pots and it is a self-serve buffet. A great initiative to support, as well as local young artists - pay whatever you feel like, think is fair. And the location among the trees is indeed a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of the city.

A very nice place to spend afternoon. It’s a small kind of forest area with the river near by. You can also by some local art or just peaceful admire it. There is a lady who servers some locally made food. Open Monday -Friday till 6pm. But the food is served depends of the availability. We arrived at 4pm and it was finished. But we heard is a great vegetarian food for good money.Free entry :)

Themi garden is full of creativity starting from gardening to art/craft. Without forgetting a small river that flows in...very beautiful. In addition: Couples, lovers and friends, Themi is a best place for you

Nicely nested in the trees this vegetarian meal was the best food I have had in days. Beautifully flavoured pilau rice with a robust vegetable casserole that had a spice heat in it. We loved the heat on the wonderfully green spinach dish and beans. Rounded with water and watermelon mango or guava drink and water. Great ambiance and a genuine eco tourism and local flavour we have enjoyed very much.

Quiet and chill place to wander and eat a delicious vegetarian lunch. The food is cooked by the ladies here and it only costs 6000tzs. I would definitely come here again. To get inside cross the bridge and enter via some gates next to their sign. Walk down some steps and youll see paintings and then benches.

Wonderful urban oasis, located in what feels like a forest park. A great place to chill and relax. The food is very basic, which is fine, but it feels like with a little bit of attention this could be one of the most special urban places to visit in East Africa.

Enchantingly peaceful and wonderful experience. THE hidden gem of Arusha. The directions are a bit confusing but it can be found by: from the round about intersection going the way of MAFAO house and it will quickly be seen on the right. (:

This is currently the one and only Urban Garden/Conservation spot with very amazing environment and scenes..., A river flowing in between brings life and calmness in the area. Also theres such an amazing art group called SwahiliArtGroup where they have the most beautiful art works ever seen.

Atmosphere: so nice and peaceful. Being surrounded by the greenery, little river flowing through and seeing the produce being grown, pulled out and turned into food, was refreshing in the middle of Arusha.Food: simple but tasty food. Love the concept!Highly recommended

Great location, tucked away from the bustle of the town. Calm and peaceful. The food is vegetarian and natural and the taste is good. Visit the place if you enjoy good traditional vegetarian food and are interested in supporting the project of urban gardening.

It is a breath taking place filled with trees and flowers of various kind. I can honestly safe it is a place of nature at its best, were you can go just for a breeze or listen music. For my romantic friends, it is a plce you could go for a quiet date with your significant other. It is a plce you could go with your earphones, a place you can go with your pen and paper and get a poem on or a script. Remember not to destroy the environment. You could also have a group discussion although it isnt the one which will lead to noise pollution.

It is a small urban park with many information boards about the local tribes, their way of life, the flora in the area around Arusha. There is also an artist collective here and a project is also running here to support single women who not only have to look after themselves but also for up to six children.
