This Restaurant is great for the great food both Ethiopian and continental. Their food is very tasty and fresh. Great value for money. I will definitely go back there with my family. Papa Samawit, the owner is a classy gentleman and yet down to earth.

Such good Ethiopian food! We had the lentils, spinach, cabbage, roasted peas and firfir. All were delicious. We stuffed ourselves and still had enough to bring some home. Highly recommend!

Superb Ethiopian food...the injeta is perfect and the restaurant itself is like a beautiful garden oasis. Our host Elizabeth even made a fire for us and we ate by fireside. It was beautiful

It was our first time to return to this restaurant after very many years. The food was as good as we remembered it. The service was courteous and efficient. And the owner took the trouble to introduce himself and his family which was a nice touch.

Stylish location, but not very centrally located, Friendly staff, compfy outdoors dinning and fireplace. prices rather high for local standards. of the two vegan dishes we ordered one was good (yellow lentils) the other one mediocre (vegetable pasta)

Worst Ethiopian restaurant I ever visited. Unfortunately not authentic food. They have a lack in spices. You don´t get sauces like usually and also the injera was not very soft and fresh. As it´s not very cheap (4 different sorts of beggies + 1 sort of Meat was around 60.000 TSH) I was really disappointed and can´t recommend this restaurant at all.

Good food. Not many choices on drinks (no sparkling water for example) and had to choose between mango and pineapple juice or soda. They only take cash, no credit card accepted...

Food was good, but you dont get very much for the price. Some other places are even worse around here for that though so if youre looking for a little fancy place, this is a good one

Weve been going to Spices and Herbs for many years. Their injera is very good. Their staff is very friendly and efficient, without a fail.

The ethiopian food is TERRIBLE. Injera is white and tasteless - the waitress explained to me they make it with rice... Seriously? The vegetables were dull and lacked spice. I saw some pizzas coming out of the oven and they looked nice.

This place was kind of cool, but overpriced (even though I negotiated the African price). I was excited about the restaurant, but it was terribly over-priced for very small portions. I paid less for Ethiopian food in the U.S.!! And got huge portions. The ingredients are easily available in Arusha-- why such jacked up prices for rice and spinach? Only the injera is not found locally and it was also in tiny portions. In U.S. it covered a huge plate and extra was served on the side. This place seemed stingy in comparison and the flavors were milder (less spices). Also, the location of the hotel is isolated. There are no other eating places nearby and its dark at night-- as a single woman, i felt trapped there. No eating options except their restaurant which is also a popular bar with well-off locals. Another reason I left there after two nights.
