We visited this place 2 says in a row. Food is on a higher level then any other restaurant I have visited in Tanzania. The Owner was there and we had very great time and conversations with him. Very hospitable and knowledgable person. Mr. Axel , who has been in the restaurant world since he was 12 years old, in Belgium, is definately one of the finest chefs in this Country. When we told him that we were coming back the next day, he asked my two children what their favorites were and what they liked to have cooked for them !!!!

This is a brilliant spot to spend a couple of days before a safari. The food is outstanding and better than many restaurants in London. The bird life is beautiful and varied for twitchers. The rooms are lovely and the pool is perfect. Also consider using their pack with a purpose scheme where you bring supplies for the local school in your luggage, details are on their website of what is needed most.
