If you want the authentic feel, this is your spot. So accommodating and trustworthy. Couldnt recommend anything better . Their safari and Mountain climbing prices are beyond reasonable. This is the spot to stay!
Very friendly staff, like very very friendly. Nice setting. Nice rooms and very affordable. We paid 40.000 a night. Loundry is 6 dollars for a big machine. Would definitely recommend it!
Lovely place. Very cosy outside gardens. The lady from breakfast was soo nice!! + they had a good laundry service!
We first booked two nights at Villa Poa in the room with the balcony. The room is large, has its own balcony and a large bathroom. They kept our bags at the Villa in a safe place while we were on safari for 4 days. After the Safari we stayed for one more night, because we were truly in love with the beautiful room and balcony, the quite garden, the fresh breakfast and the lovely staff! Swaleh was super nice and helpful. He was always smiling and was able to answer all of our questions in a perfect english! Thank you. You have a great team at Villa Poa!
We stayed one night in this fabulous accommodation, and wish it could have been more. It’s an oasis of calm and comfort. The room was wonderful, absolutely massive and incredibly comfortable, with good linens on the bed and soft pillows. It had a sitting room with the biggest softest chairs and sofa and a small fridge, the shower was amazing, loads of hot water and good pressure. The gardens are beautiful and tranquil. It’s just a wonderful place to stay. We were shown a suite in the garden that was fantastic, and had I known about it before unpacking, would definitely have paid the extra to stay in. Breakfast was very nice.I can not recommend this hotel highly enough, if in Arusha do not hesitate to stay at Vila Poa.
Stayed there waiting for our Safai to start. Nice hostel and lovely staff! I Recommend Ayubu, the Maasai guide for his always exceptional and friendly service, and if you go to a Safari, Yuma is the best driver you can get, check @gregadventures on FB for more info about this experience you cannot miss!
The rooms are spacious, garden and balconies very relaxed. A very nice place to stay after a long day exploring Arusha or start or finish of your safari which you can book here too. The road to the accomodation is a point of concern. It is rough and a pretty long walk to the main road. Hopefully this will get the attention of the city council when all loging companies will join forces in making this a point on their agenda.
We stay there for 9days, the staff only clean once time for our room, and breakfast was everyday same, quite boring.
We couldnt have felt more welcome! The staff were friendly and laidback. The room we had was massive..the largest twin room Ive ever had! The shared bathroom was always clean as were all shared areas. The location was easy especially if youre happy to take public matatus....if not the villa charges $5 for a journey best deal so far! I would highly recommend Villa Poa as well as Gregs Adventures, they were all helpful and very accommodating!
We had a great time staying at Villa Poa for a few weeks while staying in Arusha. The location is within walking distance to a large complex with restaurants and a grocery store, as well as easy access to a main road where public transportation can be found. The staff are delightful and gathering around the table for breakfast with everyone was a highlight of our time there. We took one trip through their safari company and it was planned and carried out well.
Super comfortable hostel with shared dorms rooms and private rooms. The staff are super friendly and the place is really neat and easy to find. There is optional breakfast and dinner available and both are extremely tasty and great introductions to the local cuisine
It is not a 5 star hotel, but is was a 5 star experience. The staff is really nice and everyone is so helpful. It is a small Oasis in an otherwise coatic neighborhood. From Villa Poa you have a nice view of the mountain Meru. We had a really nice stay here and would recommend anyone who goes to Arusha to stay at Villa Poa.
Best place to go and there is a good lady called lucy he is a kind person and helps the visitors soo much
The water in the bathroom was too warm or too cold and it had no enough pressure to take a shower. We reported to the staff but the issue was not solved. The location is too far from the center and at night is not possible to go out because on the street all the light are off.
Would not recommend the place for female travelers. The place in itself is pretty nice, but the guy running the place (Greg) is far too flirty, in an annoying manner. Arusha in general has a problem of men desperately looking for white girls, you would only hope that you would be left alone in a hostel. This is not the case in this hostel.
It was okay, we stayed >10 days, the breakfast is all the time the same
Wonderful place. Lovely staff and amazing dinners. Me and my workmate have been very happy everynight we have stayed. Asante Villa Poa!
Lovely place. Host lady is very kind and prepares simple but delicious food.
Had a Business trip to Arusha and was happy about this new place quite close to our office in NaneNane. Company did the booking for single room. Arrived (midnight) there only to find out they had the room overbooked. Its normal, as sometimes guests dont show up, Greg said. Quite unprofessional to me. On the fair side: he offered me to stay in dormitories, and a free night after. But I didnt want to support their overbooking game and went to different place..Unserious, hakuna-shida business style.
Villa poa was a relly nice place everthing was clean, the cooker was great and the atmosphere was very friendly. It was a good experience. But I would say it quite far from center.
Waooo!! What a magic place to be for refreshment
We call this place kambini or bonge shop near themi hospital and villa poa in right side when you from themi hospital in the way before crossing to the villa road there is a local bridge in right side which goes straight to the bonge shop so after bonge shop there is a road crossing in left side that we call kambini and there is a 400 meters
Is the place which is quiet, hospitality, wonderful area. Also is the place which you may arrange your Safari to go to camp or to climb Mountain Kilimanjaro
Really nice place to stay and dinner is also very good
Perfect place to stay at Arusha. You can start your bushmen trip from there.

Accommodation
Very nice place to rest. The garden is beautiful. The staff could hardly be more welcoming and helpful. Very good breakfast. Comfortable bed with mosquito net (necessary in Arusha), beware bed a little small with the wooden frame (I am 1m92). Location a little out of the way but easy to reach the center with the Bolt service for less than $2 a ride.
I stayed at Villa Poa after wonderful Safari which set us up Greg also visit beautiful waterfalls with excellent guides Estalin and Eli with the help of Greg also the accommodation is fabulous with good beds slept great these days as the food prepared by Luci is a love verdareramemente the garden is beautiful, clean and good wifi has some cabins and chillout to relax, it was a joy when he returned hosting their dogs I loved them.Without a doubt the best choice is also in a nice neighborhood of Arusha.highly recommended
Beautiful villa in one really beautiful garden, but a rear neighborhood at the rear.really friendly welcome by maggy and chef lucya lot of overdue maintenance, poor bathroom, defective toilet etc etcwe got one car that stopped twicelies on one terribly bad roadbut all in all we had a nice stay.thanks to lucy and maggy
I miss the time in Arusha! Meet a lot of cool friends at Villa Poa, where the accommodation is comfortable, the bathroom is clean, the space is beautiful, and Lucy will cook a good breakfast! You should not find a better cp home in Arusha! There is a distance from the Clock Tower here, you need to take a small bus, but the bus number is too many and not expensive ~ (on the car, the clock tower will answer you will not arrive)Ps. If there is water stoppage and power outage problem is purely normal, remember to prepare the power! It is common for African power outages for 12 hr.
Very authentic area, cozy house, extremely nice staff, with the Dalla Dalla you are also quite fast in the city center (10-15min), Greg and his staff also organize tours, taxis, airport pickup etc. I had a good time in one the family atmosphere. Internet funtkionierte also good, whether it is enough for streaming I do not know;)
Very nicely managed, clean, friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast!
Very welcoming staff offering an incredible dinner
