While most have been punctual, professional, etc., ZanRaha stands out from just about any other transfer we’ve ever hired. Unlike most companies or hotels whom are waiting with a sign and simply drive you from point A to point B, Fabian and his team immediately greet you like family; like cousins or nephews you haven’t seen in years. His smile is instantly inviting, his laugh and exuberant way about him are infectious. This is not an act or facade for his clients, rather, it stems from something deeper. ZanRaha is not merely a company, but the culmination of years of planning and the building of a dream. Spending time with Fabian and his team, you get the sense that your time with them is very personal. They not only want you to have a safe and enjoyable transfer or tour, but are also true ambassadors of their country.From the very beginning of our time in Zanzibar, even prior to our arrival actually, Fabian started communicating via WhatsApp, several weeks before our trip. He helped to coordinate many things for our large group as we were headed to the island for a wedding. As we exited the airport, Fabian was personally waiting outside at arrival and made himself easy to find. Additionally, he helped with finding and activating sim cards, offered suggestions for things to see and do, and made a superb recommendation for a 14-person bus for our group, rather than the 2 smaller 6-person vans we had originally booked.When it came to our tour day, we had the pleasure of having Mr. Barraka as our incredible tour guide and Mr. Ali as our adept driver. Our day started with the suggested tour of a spice farm, and was wonderful. There are certainly the “tourist” elements within the tour along the way, but that’s to be expected on an excursion like this. This is a strong source of income for the country, and we are all there to spend money and enjoy a vacation. Thankfully, the pressure to buy something is not shoved down your throat like so many other places one can travel.After the time on the farm, we made our trek to Stone Town to begin the next tour of the day. As with almost anything pertaining to family and large groups, plans and schedules quickly fell apart in the face of travel cancellations, restrictions, and all the joys that have come with attempting to traverse the globe during these Covid times. Mr. Barraka was both amazingly helpful and patient while we attempted to sort out family logistics problems. He found us banks, post offices, Western Unions, and adapted to our changing needs as the day took unexpected turns. Even during the obstacles throughout the day, he still took time to point out interesting details, fun facts, and some city history as we moved from place to place in our efforts to get the remaining family to the Island. While time was quickly eaten up by family drama, Mr. Baraka adapted to the situation and, as pockets of time became available, ensured we saw the key items we requested during our planning; namely the lunch spot the bride wanted to go, and the museum the mother of the bride wanted to see. An additional note regarding Mr. Ali, he is absolutely one of the most expert drivers we have ever seen! Between navigating the bumpy dirt farm roads, the fast moving highways of the island, and the tiny streets of Stone Town, his precision control of the bus was quite a sight to behold, and we felt completely safe the entire time.Full review on other sites without character limits.If you have not yet booked an airport transfer or tour company in Zanzibar, look no further than this organization.
