Loved this shop! We visited in June 2018 on a walking tour of Stone Town and bought almost ALL our souvenirs here - the shop was cool and uncrowded - NO pressure sales tactics! Tons of interesting hand-made chests, jewelry, brass items, mini Zanzibar doors, locally made soaps - all price ranges - the owner was very kind and patient - and wrapped all our purchases nicely - in all we spent about $200 USD here and got souvenirs for ourselves and everyone on our list

Each Zanzibar Chest is uniquely hand crafted. The store has so many cool items but the chests are the best and at a reasonable price too. The copper pots are also nice but unfortunately not made in Zanzibar and neither are the lanterns which are also nice.

Its the best shop for antiques in Zanzibar and if u visit stone town please dont forget to stop at Abeid Curio Shop because you will always find something that you would like either for yourself or your family
