Nice guide, beautiful forest

Dont miss this! Took an awesome 2 hour (you can do shorter of you like) tour through the forest. My guide explained all the plants and trees very well and we were lucky to see red colobus and elephant shrews!

Wow! A hidden gem in Zanzibar- beautiful forest and has the highest natural vantage point on Unguja. I took a brief tour with my two children (2.5 and 4 at the time) as well as another 5 year old child, and we saw 2 of the 3 types of monkeys that call Masingini home, the Vervet and the endemic Red Colobus. Our guide gave us a walking tour (and 2 apprentice guides accompanied us as well) that is supposed to take 2-3 hours but we asked him to shorten it to 45 minutes for the sake of the children. I highly recommend. A little slice of forest heaven!

Great guide, showing you monkeys and explaining plants and their uses. Spoke english and was learning french (has already a good level).

It is the highest point of 120m above sea level. It is a unique place due to the existing of more than 35 gullies which led to the name MASINGINI

Pure green, peaceful, truly natural. A nice for hiking. You wont regret leaving technology while you are here 😃
