Was here 2years ago.Nice beds and bungalows.Staff was really friendly.Bit boring cause not a lot to do.Cheap for accomodation.Breakfast was really good first day then went a bit less and less.Dolphin tour was badNice quit and good for walking and exploring

Nice, cheap, friendly hostel. But always make sure to get a fan for your room... Otherwise the stifling heat at night will be hard to bear. Simple and good for young hitchhikers who spend the day at the beach anyway. Try to get a top floor room. They have a nice view. See pic.

Small place run by a friendly group of friends.We spent 3 nights there.The staff was trying very hard (sometimes too much) to ensure we were satisfied.We went there in low season, and the bed sheets was not so clean, and no running water, bucket shower!

Very calm place to stay in natural environments fresh air and self contained designed as african homes scene. Affordable price and very close to the beach. Water pressure is very low to the bathroom i hope they will fix it soon.

The place is run by a bunch of kids, but enthusiastic kids who try their best to provide. Although a bit disorganized they provided me with great food, very nice dolphin tour. And the place itself is so relaxing and cozy. Though I find the place quite pricey, I would like to return there again.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Twiga Beach bungalows. The owners, Meg & Modii went out of their way to make their guests feel welcome & at home. If need be, they will provide transportation at a very good price & organize special tours to suit your tastes. It is quaint, simple & cozy, a great place to relax, close to a beautiful beach, village & a variety of water activities from swimming with Dolphins, boating to nearby islands & sandbanks where you can spend the day, barbeque, picnic, swim, snorkel etc. Not only is breakfast is included in the cost but you get to order off their menu , which has many delicious choices. They have an awesome chef & I have to say, my best meals in Zanzibar were at Twiga Beach. Twiga Beach Bungalows is very reasonably priced & offers great value for your money. I would definitely stay here again.

Easy going, relaxing place. Amazing people, great host, nice rooms and food! Close to the beach, far from civilisation.

Very ascetic. For undemanding tourists. In the evenings, electricity is often lost. At night, mice and beetles gnaw on the roof and walls. There is hot water - it heats up during the day in the tank. You can wash. You can relax in the midday heat in the hammocks in the courtyard. For 10,000 shillings, you can agree to cook dinner - fish, squid, octopus. Guests lose money and valuables. They pulled out $ 100 from us. A video camera and £ 400 were stolen from guests from Britain. The police never found anything. Be careful.To the beach 10 minutes through a wasteland with angry dogs. You need to catch the tide to swim, but this is typical for all of Zanzibar. There are no shops at all. There is only Suleimans stall with drinks and a diner for locals near the baobab. There is also a stop for minibuses to Stone Town. For mzungu prices are too high several times. Fruits and vegetables can be bought from locals in the village as agreed.
