Maybe these are not the cheapest shoes, but thats definitely the most beautiful sandals Ive ever had! Very nice designs and high quality of material, totally worth for the price (around 35000tsh and more). If you want to have a nice present from Zanzibar for yourself or anybody else, visiting this shop would be a great choice:)

Bought sandles 5 years ago and went again to get the same again... they really are durable and well made... a must go to get a great pair of Zanzibari sandals

Great owner of this handmade leather footwear store. The guy is as old as Zanzibar. ;-) apart from buying you can talk to Mr Surti ad nauseum about the history and culture. I expect Indians visiting Zanzibar to must go and visit Mr Surti. He has a wealth of experience, knowledge and opinion.

Youll find the gentleman sitting there making sandals as his forefathers have done in the past, maybe not exactly at the same location. They are super cute and comfortable I had to buy a pair for me and a friend. No haggling, they are extremely affordable at around 30,000TS or around 14USD a pair. Just pay the sticker price.

I bought sandals here one year ago and they are still like new! For someone who usually goes through a pair of sandals every few months, this is really unique - recommended!

The small shop is quite a walk down the most beautiful alleyways in Zanzibar, which makes it worth the walk. The shop is way smaller than the website advertises it and no longer has a clothing section. There is however a bag for every lady and if not, it can be made. A bit pricey, but handmade. The designer is British.

The Shop has been here for generations making leather sandals for the locals. Over the years they turned to a more trendy style catering for tourist customers but still really good. Support local!
