Clean and air conditioning is working!But I was not very amused by the security guards behavior! I was starving and wanted to eat something before I checked into the waiting area/gate and the guards lied and told me that there is a duty free area with restaurants and shops inside! They were lying, and I waited for 3 hours in the airport without a decent meal! The area is still under construction and empty!Youd be lucky to score a sorry excuse for a chicken sandwich with cartilage 🤮Happy to leave Zanzibar and NEVER RETURN!

There is still lot to do, but the airport is clean, new and spacious. Business class is so far just unused gate area with few chairs but Im sure it will improve. Im talking of course about the new terminal. The old terminal which is used for arrivals has not changed for many years and true african charm... zanzibar of old and new. Business class lounge is just an abandoned gate with office chairs... unique in its way!!

Terminal 2 is a nightmare. If you are flying out to Kenia (with Precision Air) or to Ethiopia you will experience the chaos that reigns at this terminals International departures section. There are no words to describe the unprofessional treatment and terrible discomfort experienced. No proper working AC in the departures section anywhere. The heat, humidity and stale air is stifling. The ceilings are adorned with non-working air-conditioners.

Dont know who plan this but its a big fail! It feels like it was build for 50 passengers planes. And there is not even a restaurant

Flight delayed 1 hour because of slow workers. They should reconsider employing more people or motivate existing.

Flight delayed, no shops, no offer of food or drink. Really poor service. Just tops my bad week in Zanzibar.

By far, THE WORST airport Ive ever been. Because of the infrastructure and the people working here. Also, porters could be called scammers, trying to steal you money.

Looks modern but: toilets dirty, no lounge or shops open (terminal 3), annoying security staff that tells everyone where to go but they are contradicting themselves, despite a luggage scanner they do a long-lasting check of the carry-on luggage at the gate again. Poor airport management.

Worst place i have ever been to.Food is terrible🤦6 sandwiches, 1 beer and a water bottle costs 39$HAKUNA MATATA in my next life🤣🤣🤣
