Our pre-flight COVID tests were done in a professional and timely manner. We found the hospital to be clean and the staff were kind. The nurse that performed our tests was nice to my children. We got the results back within 72 hours (on a Saturday morning!), more expensive than other hospitals but it was within walking distance which was important for us.

Some of my poor review is probably the fault of the Tanzanian government rather than this hospital, but..1. COVID test is $120, which is the most expensive one we saw available but we thought that a private hospital would be efficient. Wrong.2. We signed up online for 8:00-9:00 AM time window because we had tour plans. We arrived before 8:00. The person doing the test did not arrive until about 8:45. This is not what appointments are for. Someone should have been ready to start working at 8:00.3. We signed up online but not sure why because all information had to be provided again, input at the slowest possible speed.4. Payment MUST BE MADE IN CASH, even though that is not noted anywhere on the site. They will not take Visa card.5. We were told test results would not be ready for 72 hours. This isnt acceptable, everywhere needs within 72 hours of departure. We got our tests in time, but why even say that it will be 72 hours when that expectation will not function for travel purpose?The whole process, for a disease that has been around for 18 months, is ridiculous. Be prepared to be frustrated.
I visited this hospital to do some checkup tests yesterday and as first time i was a bit lost. a very kind lady Celina at Reception helped me throughout the all day with also the assistance of a nurse Fathma. they helped with directions to labs, translations and so on. I finally i have to say that i spent few hrs for queuing and visiting labs but thanks to them, my day was smooth. also i have to day thanks to Doctor Benson, an exquisite person and very helpful.Big thank you.
Thank you to Dr Jagga for promptly assisting with my partners emergency dental treatment. We arrived at the emergency room about 6pm on Tuesday evening and were in the dentists chair by 12pm and then 3pm the next day. Dr Jagga was patient and explained well, in excellent English. I trusted him and felt we had received good advice. One root canal was about £200. The dental assistants were significantly less good than their boss however.In terms of hospital organisation, you do have to be a bit pushy and know what you need, rather than waiting for receptionists to figure it out etc. You need to pay in cash as card machine is a bit tricky.Just be aware that all payments should be made in advance of treatment.Generally staff were kind and courteous though lacking urgency at times.
My aunt was not well and went to global hospital. Farhaat, was very kind and helpful. She made sure my aunt got the best care possible.
I must echo a review noted a month ago. Process of registration for COVID test was super and also payment advise of $120 but with a foreigner or first time traveller who doesnt like carrying alot of cash; credit card or debit card payment or mpesa or online payment should be an alternative option. After a frustrating 1hr 30mins walk looking for cash in different ATMs, I opted to take a taxi and go to my main bank branch that is ABSA where I was swiftly assisted by the Manager understanding my situation. Honestly, Global Hospital should see to it a process of improvement in information, time of service, efficiency and flexibility in payment options that can make foreigners be happy with services offered especially those with already have appointments or send a generic email to those registered to what is expected after registration, like cash payment only, for ease of preparation before day of Covid Test. With this improvement, I know reference will be to Global Hospital
Went to Global for a pre-flight COVID test. It was a MESS.My group which arrived early for our BOOKED appointment waited an hour before we could speak to someone. It was only an HOUR. because we went searching for someone to help. The process was disorganized and confusing. We waited 2 hours for the registration and payment to get a 2 minute test. That the technician said wouldnt be ready in 72 hours (not true) but underlying their basic misunderstanding of the system.And on top of all of that, they entered my passport number wrong. I had to go back to Global to THREE different people to figure out what number they entered to get the results. I was then told to go to the main testing center to get the number. After rushing there and luckily finding both a driver and a government worker who were determined to fix this an hour later AFTER the government worker called Global, someone actually went to find what number they entered. Why didnt they do that when I was there?It was a frustrating experience to say the least but made even worse because we paid PREMIUM to get expedited and reliable service.Do NOT waste your money going to Global in hopes that you can pay a little more to make sure you make your flights! Awful awful awful.

I had a broken screw of the abutment in the upper jaw dental implant post which was successfully removed by Dr. Jagga Rao and replaced by a new one which I had in spare .Well done Dr. Rao .

Very slow and no proper information on services although it is a private hospital. We were not able to book a Covid Test appointment via Web/App and went to Global hospital and we were told to come back early morning 8am. The Lab people came 1.5h later and they could not help. Instead, they sent us to another Facility and it was such a waste of time. We had to delay our departure of course with cost incurred. Not recommended.

I’ve chosen this hospital to get PCR test. It took around 20 minutes only. After that I’ve decided to visit dentist to repair my broken filling. And the experience was surprisingly good. Everything was done properly and fast.

Absolutely no organization. I booked a Covid test online and arrived 15 minutes before the 8:00am appointment as suggested on the website. They said doctor will arrive at 10 and I must pay in cash only. Waited over three hours and paid $120. If they want tourists to come to Zanzibar they need to be more efficient in processing them for a simple PCR test.

It was such a good experience with orthopedic doctor Ravi Kumar. Amazing person, very professional, and from my side best orthopedic and the most handsome doctor i have ever seen in my life😍 I want to say thanks to him, and i hope he will see this review. I broke my little toe in February 2021, When i came back in my country the doctors sow xRay, everyone says that is perfectly fixed. I wish him all the best !🙏🏻🙏🏻 Also big thank you to all nurses and doctors from the Hospital, if you ever have any problem in Zanzibar, I highly recommend this place.
The service is good but there are some things that still need to change as the reception takes a lot of time there also the laboratories need to be well organized to provide services also doctors I mean DMO there should be enough for the relevant shift.

As a pregnant woman that went to global hospital with some issue Im very disappointed at the doctors that claim to be professional at this place.3 of 4 doctors including gynecologist I meetThere shared wrong information to me and all of them said different things according to the result of my blood and urine. 3 doctors couldnt even analyze my results good enough and not only that then the gynecologist wanted to subscribe a very strong medication to me meanwhile being pregnant with my first child that one other doctor at the hospital and 3 other professional in zanzibar said I definitely NOT should take as I didnt need it and it could cause miscarriage.I meet one good doctor there that said the same as the other professional doctors said and I got really good help from one of the managers there but 3 of these other doctors I woukdnt even call doctors.I wouldnt recommend any pregnant woman to go to this gynecologist but to find another one for their own sake and the sake of the babys life and health
Gone there for a PCR Test required to return to France. Quite fast to do the test.The price is 120$ / 100€ when its 80$ at the public hospital. At least you expect a good service..You have to come there 3 days before the departure. They tell you to come back to pick up the results the day of your flight from 10AM but certificates were not available.... At the end i managed to get my certificate going directly to the governmental centre just 3 hours before the take off time. 3 other people with me were not do lucky and missed the plane!!!What a stress!If you go there, require them to provide the test the day before and to send it by mail. Unacceptable!
I am very satisfied with the dental services. Weve made dental crown and its perfect. On each of the 5 visits, we met with the professionalism and kindness of the doctor Jagga Rao Konathala. Even though we dont speak Swahili, there were no communication issues. Asante sana!
Dentist very good, organisation terrible. They tried to find my name for 75 minutes and didnt succeed. They also charge 50000tzs (un refundable) to get a price for their services. Asked a day before if doctor around. So I come (60km 1 way) and got the info the doctor is in holiday
The services to mothers on observation is very good from the nurses side. Doctors are not available in observing the development of pregant women in labour. we have to relay on nurses support. the nurses are not given the permission to explain on the develolment of patients conditions to mothers as well as family unless they are asked in distressing moments. Disclosure of patients conditon is needed to be improved. while medicine is prescribed and administered it is important to give clear explainantion on its use and function. Thankyou
Services are generally good, but sometimes they take longer than necessary. Electronic recording system, while good, but it limit treatment in other hospitals, especially during travels.
The service was great. We need a place where our children can play safely during hospitalization. You can put some toys and swings.

This dr (dr shahnawaz) from global hospital asked my phone when i was at this hospital,she told me that there is something wrong with WIFI so she wanted to fix it through my phone, am suprised to see the email she wrote,my daughter was admitted there and the service was not good, we asked for bedsheet but that doctor keep looking at us and say nothing, we had to go back to take out our khangas for my daughter, i didnt wrote the last comment u saw guys, and this it disrespectifull
I have been admitted here at Tasakhta Global hospital for 1 week, the care I was recieved from this hospital was so good and appreciated that care. They try hard to provide care to the patients and close monitoring to their patients.... Nurses play major role on providing care to the patients, and conditions of this hospital is good and clean and care is so much good..... 🤗 Am so thankful 😊
Worst experience ever! Went there for a Covid test in order to take my flight home and payed 120 usd. The results didn’t come back in time and I missed my flight. Had to buy a new plane ticket and the managers were deceiving and lied all the way through the process. They never sent our samples to the government for processing and we didn’t appear in the system. Extremely stressful and expensive journey. Don’t waste your time and money there!

My girlfriend came with gastroenterits and dehydration and had a very bad experience:The training of the nursing staff is insufficient. I am of course aware that I cannot expect the standard of European hospitals, but even the minimum of nursing necessities was not met. Here are some examples:1. work was often not done in a sterile manner, neither did the nursing staff always wear gloves , nor were other simpler rules observed, we had to point out several times that tubes already on the floor are not to be used again or that a wound must be disinfected after the access has been removed. Mouth guards were not worn by the nursing staff.2. I was given 4 faulty accesses in two days, i.e. the fluid/medication ran under my skin or where it was not supposed to go. This caused both my arms to swell up and hurt.3. it was not truthfully documented. I later took pictures of my medical record. It was often incorrect. For example, 22.1 at 8:00 my general condition was recorded as good. But on that day, no one came to see me until noon to ask or investigate. On the contrary, I felt very bad and was hardly responsive on that morning.4. nursing staff did not regularly bring me food. One morning my husband had to run to the market to get a banana because I was so sick and weak that I could not move or speak but nobody from the staff reacted to his demand to bring something to eat.5. the nursing staff reacted to my tense overall mental state with ridicule. I was afraid because of the situation and was permanently under stress. The nursing staff obviously had no sensitivity or training for dealing with patients who are anxious. I think this was an understandable feeling in my situation. I kept saying that I was scared and thought I was going to die and the staff did not respond. One example was when a nurse, even though I was already highly distraught and scared and had deliberately turned my head away, held the long needle in my face twice and emphasised how long it was. Although there was no reason to torture me like that. When I cried, she laughed.I am certainly not the only person in the world who is afraid of long needles in the body.6. the English of the nursing staff is mostly insufficient to ensure the necessary communication.What I can say positively, however, is that the emergency care in the emergency room was handled well by the doctors and, for example, my allergic shock after the wrong medication was given was dealt with well and quickly with cortisone.Overall, the doctors were all competent, objective and could speak good English. But of course, there is not always a doctor on the ward, which meant that even in acute situations, when my husband was afraid for me because my overall condition was so low at times that I was hardly responsive, no doctor came for hours (up to 6 hours), although he asked several times.Because of these and other events, I did not feel safe and well cared for at global Hospital.

Me and my family are all attending this I can say best private hospital in Zanzibar so far good service, special doctors attention, lab services etc...one thing I strongly suggest is to speed registration process, patients spend more time there than than time waiting to see or spend with the doctor.

As a doctor i have to say, i have just the worst experience, today at the resort that i stay at was an accident. 14years old girl got hit in the head, i went with her to this hospital, doctors had absolutely no clue what to do, so i brought her to CT, unfortunately it showed severe parietal and temporal bleeding and the doctors wouldnt do anything, i told them, she needs surgery or she dies in few hours, they wouldnt care, then i brought her to public hospital, where she was imidiately operatedAs a doctor i have never been so desperate just as i was today...I hope i will never experience anything like that again in my life...

I went to the hospital with mild skin rash, there was a lady who welcomed us, so she asked if we want the fast track or the normal one, I preferred the fast one and took us to the 4th floor in the VIP lounge so after few mints Dr Eliah took a really good care of me and let me feel comfortable he was a really nice dr with a really good diagnosis after he examined me, and gave me the medication by him self .
Thanks to maternity ward I receive a good quality care from the staff they are so responsible

Really bad experience! I arrived with very clear malaria syntoms and just for welcoming, I got 10 holes in my arms and hands to get 1 blood test and 1 via. During my stay there( 3 days, unfortunately), i had different info about my sitition and my treatment, everytime i was talking to someone. The doctor just show up to ask me how was i and asked to make me some test that never happened but of course they wanted to charge me. It was completely insane! HORRIBLE!!
I brought my young sister who is 10 years old having fever problem... the building of the hospital is good but service was not good at all... They are very slow and not serious with what they are doing.. at reception i request a membership card they told it was over.. A doctor adviced me to ask securty gard to direct me to the labolatory room and go there and make your self a way he was not bothered even to stand.. at the labolatory they first try to take injuction on her left hand and lateron removed the injuction to the right hand and take out the blood. They told me to get her result back at 4:45 but i went 5:12 to remind them they told me to check my watch again if it is 4:45 ,, i told them it is 5:12 now it should be ready 27 min back,, than they told me i didnt go and remind them so i had to wait another 15 min and got my result back... I went to submit to the doctor and saw the note doctor is out at the door.. i went to the reception and asked them they were bit rude and told me some time i should try to push a door doctor can be inside.. i went back to the doctor she was inside,, and told her at labolatory they were very slow and she shocked me with her answer.. she told that is necessary... As zanzibari i will recommed to hire advanced empolyees or to train them more and make them understand what is the meaning of patient and they should know what they r doing..I would like to remind them a human body is not a trial room they should make sure what they are doing is right.. more improvement is needed to the employees to make sure this hospital gives good service to the patient.The owner of the hospital should be bit serious about this it can make him loose more and more.. Plus the toilets were horrible..Istead of going to the hospital and get your problem solved u might come out for the toilet with infections.... it was a disappointment from my side

Came in for a cervical spine X Ray. Dr Nassor and his staff were very helpful and the service was fast! An unexpected pleasure! X Rays cost Tsh40,000.00. Hoping not to be back but should the need arise, this is the place in Zanzibar! Thank you so much!

If you want to frustrate yourself, go to this hospital. The emergency area is rather a waiting area to die. You can google yourself a first aid than wait for the nurse. Public hospitals are far better in service than this hospital.
