Very expensive, dont use website for quotations, DHL will not honour it, instead quote you double the amount when ringing them direct.

Very worse service

Recently I had a disappointing experience with DHL.I had to have my Visa sent from Hong Kong to Zanzibar and their estimated day of arrival was a week later from when the parcel was sent out.Usually they have a 4-5 day waiting period at most but because I was told it would only arrive 7 days later I had to rebook flights and lost a lot of money.Cherry on the cake is that the visa arrived within 4 days and the rebooking of my flight was for nothing.They also only informed me after the parcel got to Zanzibar, that the village that I stayed in is not on their delivery routes and I would have to pick it up myself in the capital town giving me extra transportation expenses.When I asked the person giving me my parcel why they didn’t inform me about this when I gave them my address, they didn’t even try to understand the problem and couldn’t offer an explanation.I have had excellent experiences with DHL in the past but their horrible estimates on when parcels arrive to destinations has left a sour taste in my mouth. Surely as a global company you know by now how long things normally take to get places.
