We used them a few times. The pick up at the hotel as part of our package was great. The guides were friendly. Be careful they can rip on exchange rates which you do not expect from a tour company you are going to use all the time.We have a great Safari Blue with them ( please note we only were transported by them) the price was more than other safaris but was real value for money.The lady who sold us the tours was a great sales lady but never spoke the whole truth so be aware. They said they would be our guides to Stone City and were not.Stone City was a huge disappointment due to the guides and the time they gave us. Prison Island was good, maybe not worth $30 each on top a Stone Town Tour.When you are late for a pick up just let the guest know!Some drivers are good others make you very uncomfortable with the speed and the way they drive.Would I use them again? Not sure.!We did go with a positive attitude and in the end enjoyed our time and tours.ThanksThe covid 19 PCR test arranged by them before hand was quick and easy.Thanks

We were in Zanzibar for four amazing days, made even better by the service we received from Sun Tours and their staff. We booked several excursions with Sun Tours including: Jozani Forest Tour, Prison Island Tour, Zanzibar Cooking Class, Nungwi Village Tour, and the private sunset cruise, which picked us up directly from our resort at La Gemma. There were things that I loved about all the tours, but I just want to focus on the company as a whole and their staff. The vans/SUVs that were used to transport us were very nice with TV screens, strong AC, and bottled water. They were all very clean as well. The drivers were courteous and helpful. One driver we had, Othman, really stood out as a friendly and safe driver. The guides/transport were on time or early to pick us up for every excursion, and helped us arrange excursions for the best experiences. For the cooking class we were connected with a local woman, Shara (I may be misspelling this, apologies), who took us to the market, discussed our menu and helped us make purchases. We then spent the afternoon in a local home making a wonderful meal. We felt so cared for and welcome. For both the sunset cruise and the Nungwi Village Tour, we were set up with our guide Machano. Machano was kind, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. After the sunset cruise he even helped us find a beach restaurant where we had one of our favorite meals. He showed us all around Nungwi and introduced us to great local people. I cant tell you how welcome he made us feel. He also helped us find places that has the best (and cleanest because it can get very dusty in Zanzibar) souvenirs and art. Machano, thank you, thank you , thank you. Finally, I want to mention our overall coordinator and guide, Juma. Juma met us four our first tour (Prison Island) and made sure we were taken care of and/or accompanied us at each one of our other tours. He made sure that were got the most out of every experience. He taught us about Zanzabari life, and made sure that we didnt miss out on anything. I knew that we were in good hands if Juma had arranged the day. When we went to Jozani, we were originally in a large group, which would not have been the best experience for one of my friends, as she has a few mobility issues, so Juma pulled us out of that group and found us another guide, and we had a private tour of the forest and the mangroves. We loved Juma so much that we forfeited the money paid for transport back to the airport in Zanzibar and paid the Sun Tours to transport us, as long a Juma was our guide. He went out of his way, above and beyond, to make sure we had the best experience in Zanzibar. We will forever be grateful.

The Shuttles have a Super Air-con and they provide you as a Customer with Super Fast Wi-Fi On-board!!! Awesome, Awesome! Will recommend and use them any day and any time again in the future!!! 10 out of 10!!!!!

We had the Spice and Stone Town Tour booked with Sun Tours. Our guide was Ali Abdul and he made the entire experience absolutely unenjoyable. Ive compared with others what we were supposed to see and we missed out on alot probably because he was an hour late to fetch us. When our group mentioned how hungry we ALL are he didnt even bother to let us stop somewhere and grab a bite. And there were food kiosks all over stone town. So why so selfish? If you stopped to take a photo and turned around hed be long gone. If you asked him about certain points of interest hed banter in his language to his colleauge (who probably wanted to be more helpful). All he was interested in was dragging us to these 2 stores and tempting us to buy souvenirs because he obviously gets commission of some sort. So he cut out so much of our tour to make up lost time so there was enough time for us to shop at his friends stores. He wouldnt even let us buy from the market!!!!! I am apalled. And booked through another tour company for my other trips.

Ask for Friday or Luckman from Sun Tours. Excellent guides + great people themselves! Book your trips through sun tours only once you arrive! (much cheaper)
