I went there to swim but I got a reaction after that, when I tried to call the General Manager to informed him, he denied and told that such thing cannot happen to their swimming pool. Is that the way Manager show the hospitality of its Resort? Ive been having swelled face and burning skin. Even though maybe was not their fault is that how we got services from you? Where is that hospitality anyway? I hate it and I hate the General Managers character.
This place seems to have been hit hard by the pandemic, and it shows. Some parts look run down, the huge pool in the middle has no flowing water, it just kinda sits there and the whole place gets a rather leisurely cleaning. The room we stayed in had aircon, which was great. The local beach is also right behind the fence, access is provided, but its not particularly clean. All in all, a solid choice if you intend to travel out of there to other places, but not much to do at/around the resort itself.
1. Rude or rather dull attendant,2. Place has all these ethnical rules. ie men & women have to swim separate in a pool3. Very expensive interns of fees for entry with less value for money.4. poor / or no attending at all ( You will seat whole day and no one will come to take your order for drinks
Great potential based on Location. Close to the ferry and airport. Needs a major uplift to bring it up to modern times. Rooms are spacious. Good breakfast.
Enjoyed my short stay of two nights.The location, ambience reflecting local heritage and access to beach have made me interested to visit again. However, there is a scope to improve the standard of food.
Its been a while since I was here but it was AMAZING. Only a cultural elitist would criticize the food, service or professionalism. Zanzibar is just more relaxed, that the whole point of going there!
Such a great place for kids and adults. I enjoy going there in the afternoons where i can surely catch the sunset.
I have never experienced hospitality such as at the Zanzibar Beach Resort. I have gotten to know staff by name. Learned the local customs and some of the language. And oh my gosh! The pool is gorgeous! I am taking with me so much more than memories, I’m taking home with me some of the people that shared their time so freely with me. And for that I am truly grateful.

Worst customer service ever!!! We really found avery arrogant guy at the entrance we had gone there for lunch and also to meet up with friends who were staying in this so called hotel but service given to us was just reaping off our money this hotel workers at the entrance are thieves, They asked us money to pay at the entrance just to go and eat from their restaurant we paid and reaching in their restaurant the same guy from the entrance came following us for no reason with awired face and talking in alanguage we couldnt understand we asked him why he was following us yet he is not a waiter he started exchanging words badly with us and from there we got insecurities because the place was even very empty by that time so we asked for arefund so we could leave since we didnt use their service and in the short time we were already got enough from this entry guy/receptionist and asking for arefund was like putting fire in the bush we were only lucky that we were not beaten by him so we called our driver who took us to another place and we had peace there afterwards
Zanzibar Beach Resort is so family oriented. They are have excellent customer service and under the new manager, the staff and vibe of the place is much more welcoming and cozy. They have a large pool and play area for kids. A great menu and a lifeguard which is rare in Zanzibar. The resort is spacious and on beautiful grounds that are oceanfront. They have clear pool rules and do not discriminate against patrons. Zanzibar Beach Resort is one of the few places in Zanzibar where tourist, resident visa holders and locals can enjoy the grounds without managers and staff showing preference to one group over the other.
Old beach front resort with extended gardens, rooms are huge and nicely decorated. Staff very nice, food not that great. If this place gets renovated it will become a hotspot!
Staff is rude and not very accommodating. I had 3 nights booked and had to leave after night 1. There’s so many other hotels I wouldn’t waste your time in Zanzibar here.
Rooms and facilities are abit out dated. And you cant really swim in the ocean. But the landscape is awsome. Well maintained and customer service is on point. Food for the 3 nights I stayed here was always great and breakfast also. Its great for families with kids. There is a play and coloring room and animation movies for kids and someone to look after the kids if u want to take a break. Air conditioning in the room we stayed was perfect. Ice cold.
It is a nice hotel, enough and safe parking space, nice pools and perfect sea view. Ivs never tasted the food but surely it must be nice too.

Extremely loud and obnoxious music played almost every night. I have a room far away from the pool where the music is being played but I can still hardy hear myself think. Otherwise the place looks nice and the rooms are nice. But the loud music ruined it. Not relaxing at all.
One of the best places to be in Zanzibars it gives you a brilliant sunset view they have a good swimming pool and a great choice of sea food .the bar is well stocked and the ocean view rooms are the best place to be as you wake up facing the ocean .the stuff are great and the services are next to non.just a few kilometers from sea port
Nice sunset view and an enjoyable pool... the beach access at low tilde is particularly enjoyable as when you walk to the edge to meet the water it is really a marvelous view that cannot be captured by a photo it was a wonderful experience somehow it allows you to make a calm state of mind.
When you think of a place to take your loved one for holiday...this is the perfect place. Its spacious, with very good environment. Beautiful scenery..I liked the sea food..baby octopus.

NO WATER, Releasing sewage into the ocean which smells horrible and makes the stay around the pool unbearable, dance with snakes plus snakes where breakfast is being served, arrogant waitress, 4% charge when you pay via visa, linens not changed place needs renovation. The chef was nice . BAD PLACE, DO RENOVATION
It was a great experience , the staff from the Management team, Guest Services, Waiters were extra good we loved the food the chef knows what he is doing, the bar needs to improve on availability of beers several times one could not get what they had ordered.
Beautiful resort, rooms are clean, and so the facilities.They really need to work on the breakfast setup. Variety is bad, and the roof is so low, I hit my head three times while dishing up at the buffet.Had some problems with wayward chargers when I was checking out, but the manager sorted it out quickly.Do not order any cocktails, it is a small glass filled with soda and maybe some other ingredients.
Cozy and serene environment. Room service needs improvement in terms of speed and flexibility. Friendly front office staff and willing to help with info. Waterfront is Rocky hence difficult to access but provides fun in another perspective (walking on Rocky soil)
The worst hotel I have ever been to. There was no airport pickup despite booking and confirmation. The staff then proceeded to lie and say they were at the airport as they lounged at the hotel. The check in took over 5 hours as they claimed guests were leaving when in actuality the rooms were not in working order. I was finally clued in by a group that checked out furious at the service and demanding their money back.In the end I decided to go get anywhere else to sleep rather than ending up sleeping on a couch waiting for a non existent room. A hotel full of liars in management that are not willing to give any truthful statement but instead will lie par very blatant and obviously stupid lies.Funnily enough they have been known to be this incompetent for years. Even the taxi drivers taking me in and taking me out of the hotel said it is known for terribly non existent service. A definite No No!!
Very disorganised and slow service especially when many guests are around. Food gets finished and they dont even replenish. They take aeons to prepare ordered food.Room service too isnt so good. I wouldnt recommend it for a holiday stay. Less value for your money. Good luck if this is your preferred holiday destination.

ZBR is worn down. Staff is really friendly but as it is low season you are disturbed and interacted with to often, presumably due to the few guests here. WiFi worked one random hour the first day making it inconvenient for my work. Despite three guests here sleeping by the pool loud party music was put on. I will of course just ask for it to be turned off next time.
Don’t call yourself “beach resort” if you are discouraging guests from even going down to the beach. Let alone swim or walk. This is truly awful. I feel like I am in a well-kept prison. Walking...anywhere...is discouraged (even by locals). 2 stars because staff is great!
Not a bad hotel. I feel it may be too big for the amount of traffic it gets, which can make it seem a bit deserted, however theres every chance we just came in the off season. Rooms were acceptable without being great, breakfast was average, but cocktails nice.
This show was amazing because you could meet with big company and many tour operators as you couldnt be able meet other places rather than zanzibar tourism shows. To my side i dont dont want to be selfish of words just to say thank alot for those who came up with this idea of show and for those who participates. I love so much.
I had an AMAZING stay here! The ambiance was amazing, the food was delicious, the rooms are beautiful. The only reason why I didnt give it 5 Stars is because I purchased Internet access and was having issues with getting it to work. One of the front desk attendants helped me as much as she could after I was pretty much just disregarded by the Arab guy who would typically help in such situations, according to her, thus he blatantly stated I DONT WANT TO HELP HER! Yet a European woman having a similar troubleshooting issue with the Internet access she purchased and he assisted with no resistance! Had I allowed his tacky, arrogant, unaccomodating attitude to ruin my stay then I would have rated it as a 1 star simply because 0 was not an option. But EVERYONE else was AMAZING!!!!! I would definitely stay again!

Our Zanzibar experience at this resort was abosolutely amazing.My friend and i had a wonderful stay.From day one,the staff has been efficient,friendly and professional.The free wifi,the food was amazing as well ,the pool was clean,rooms too. I completely had an excellent time.Will definately come back.
Food is very expensive and absolutely not tasting well. Can only recommend to drink water. From 2pm onwards loud Indian music is playing. Pool was abit dirty. Staff where very friendly.
A nice place and location but the rooms were run down. They need a freshing up. The prices were not worth for the rooms. They smelled like undried carpets. Not healthy if you are allergic.

We booked it blindly. It has a nice pool, but it was a ghost town. There were more staff then guests the whole 6 days we were there. The food was so-so. There was an indian chef who made one of the best currys ive ever had. His name is Suni. But the rest was under par.

The staff where great food very good a little tired acomodation but staff workibg hard to manage this water pressure in shower a little low but for the orice meets our needs the management worked hard to please and very accommodating well done value for money

Poor service from front office reception desk, bad language. They also surcharge customers paying using cards 5% . When I refused to accept additional charge the reception lady told me to quit with Arrogance.

Went here for swimming, nice big clean swimming pool, nice view of the sunset and indian ocean, rocky and dirty beach, you would never walk there,clean restrooms, service takes forever, their food was so/so mostly talking about chips here moreover, nice shisha bar, very stylish bar, great place for watching soccer with the big screens and projectors, if you did not come with your rental car or hotel taxi, you have to walk all the way to the main which takes around 20 minutes and get a daladala or a taxi or u can go to the reception and they call you a taxi. A fee is paid to swim if you are not residing in the hotel, great gardens, great place for kids too.The day i was there( on a sunday), they played loud great music which i loved haha! But my companion was not happy at all that she went ahead to complain lol.Other days, peaceful bliss.
Excellent Hotel, Huge swimming pool and rooms are various spacious. Beach front rooms are awesome and huge. Food was good. Hookah available too. Overall Excellent service provided by Amit Dhanda. Hotel security was vigilant. Will definitely recommend to visit. Value for money. WiFi is available all around the resort..
Because a zero star doesn’t exist I will give a one star. You are very welcome to improve your service. Let’s put a bet that you will close the resort by next year. Prove me wrong.
Good food, good location, nice people BUT the facilities need overhaul. It would actually had been better for rooms to be built facing the sea.
Administrative, day visitors do not get their moneys worth. A tad bit exploitive, but hey, which touristic attraction isnt.
Best resort in Tanzania sea view of the rooms are nice,food is excellent staff is friendly and coutseous specially amit .spice rest is very good and service is excellent. Stayed here for 1night on 03rd may. 05 mins drive from airport. staffs are very friendly. Will surely visit again.

Staff barely know English, even ordering food is a lottery.Long waiting time when eating.Food listed in the menu couldn´t be ordered because it was out of stock, and more and more things went out of stock while staying there, yet no one seemed to be interested in re-stocking.Termites in some of the suites.There was not sun towels for everyone.They told us that they had 3 restaurants, but only one was open.Gym in really bad shape, majority of equipment out of order.
