Monica is a very thoughtful independent tailor. Her shop sells beautiful pieces made in Tanzania. It’s worth a visit and great to escape the hustle of Stone Town’s touristic streets.

I bought a few pieces.. a gorgeous collection of dresses, jewellery and home furnishings. A little pricey but you can wear or use her pieces anywhere in the world without looking touristy and yet showing your good taste and affinity to the African culture.

Beautiful little shop owned by a kind, independent woman who collaborate with her tailor siblings to stock her shop. A welcoming place that gives you a much needed break from the aggressive facers trying to pressure you into buying their stuff. I came out with a beautiful necklace and scarf.
