Perfect experience with Said over whatsapp and in Stone town.He even took the time for a quick private lesson to make sure I was at ease in Stown town before driving all around the island.The car was in very good condition and working perfectly.Very reasonable price with full insurance included.Said was very flexible, making things easier for us : he came to our hotel for the pick up, and to the airport for the drop off on the time we wanted. We can only recommend him and his company.

We rented a scooter from Ola Car Rental for almost a week. This made our stay on Zanzibar so much better and easier. There is so much to discover and see. I highly recommend getting a scooter or a car to be more independent. And I also highly recommend Ola Car Rental. After talking to a few other scooter rentals I found that Ola Rentals had pretty much the best price and service. Also the communication was very pleasant and efficient as the owner speaks and writes very good English. For a small extra fee he also took care of getting us a Zanzibari Driving Permit, which also saved us a lot of time. Doing that yourself can take be a hassle from what I‘ve heard from our Airbnb hosts. The scooter (incl. helmets) we received was fairly new and and in a very good condition. Overall we always had a good feeling about this deal and indeed it was. At the end of our trip, the owner even arranged an airport drop off for us for a much fairer price than all the other taxi or tuktuk drivers offered us. Many thanks for your service, Said! Ola Zanzibar Car Rental was very responsive and accommodating! We messaged last minute about wanting to rent a scooter the following day. They came to our hotel 10 mins after we messaged to collect the details needed to obtain the permit. They went the next morning to get the permit and were at hotel with the scooter by 9:40am!! Easy to work with!!

We booked the car in advance from Europe. Everything was exactly as we had agreed in advance. The car was in perfect condition and clean. Mr. Ola was so kind and also arrange driving permission for me. Let me just make one notice: The fuel tank was completely empty (fuel gauge under the Empty sign), so we were afraid that we would not reach the gas station, but we succeeded so OK :-) If I ever return to Zanzibar, I will use this car rental again.

19/7/2021We rented a van from Ola Zanzibar Car rental from 15/7/2021 to 19/7/2021. As a frequent renter of vehicles from Hertz and National, I’d be lying if I didn’t say the process of renting a car in Zanzibar wasn’t unusual and took trust. Before going, I needed to send a copy of my Drivers License and Passport so that Said could get me a drivers permit in Zanzibar.When we arrived at the airport, Said and his team were waiting at the arrival gate. They took us to the car, and let us follow them to get gas and to the hotel making sure everything was okay, and we were comfortable. I hadnt driven on the left in many years and was grateful to follow Said, as I got comfortable driving on the opposite side of the road.The car ran great and had a fantastic sound system (remember to bring an audio cable so you can listen to music from your phone, or a CD, yes a CD). Said’s team meet us at the airport to return the car.In the end, the entire process was easy, and the vehicle was excellent. I’d highly recommend Said for your car rental needs.

Pick up and drop off was super easy and a very cool fella facilitated it. Communication was easy and clear too. We booked Toyota RAV4 with delivery, but we got Toyota IST in a very poor condition without informing us about this change. After two hours of driving our cars battery had run out and we got stuck. We had to drive to Stone Town to change battery. Contact with owner of car rental was ok.

Rented an old Toyota RAV4 for 9 days. Delivered at hotel in Stonetown on time. Dropped of at airport where Mr. Ola meet us. The service was friendly, mr Ola is fluent in English. He keeps in contact by Whatsup to arrange pick up and drop of. The car was old, but on the roads in Zanzibar it performed adequately. Price was best I could get on my research.

I turned to this company on the recommendation, did not disappoint!Ordered for two weeks of cars from Ukraine and paid in advance, chose a Suzuki Escudo, the requirements were that the automatic transmission and high ground clearance. Unfortunately, or to our delight, we were given another Toyota car, the requirements are the same and the cost remained the same. The car was driven immediately to the airport parking lot where we left at the end of the trip.All on time, all without any problems.I recommend!

In January 2021, a car was rented here for 10 days. The cheapest price of all the companies with which we negotiated in advance was agreed in advance. But when we met with representatives of the company, it turned out that we would have to pay at a rate that is much higher than announced by the exchangers, so the complex paid more than agreed. The car had to be with a high ground clearance and full vaccination, and got a small car with a broken bumper, rubbing in places on the asphalt, even on a good road. But thanks to that they spent less on fuel than planned and half of the tank remained, so here they partially compensated the overpayment for rent. In general, the company fulfilled its obligations, although not as we had previously agreed, the car survived all the trips around the island and we were rather satisfied with it. Therefore, the score is 4/5. I advise you to discuss everything in detail and agree on a specific price, which will not be affected by the exchange rate, as well as to specify the model and condition of the car to be provided (preferably with photos and videos). It was also our mistake that we left a partial advance before the car was delivered to us. You should not do so, because many entrepreneurs on the island are unscrupulous and can just quit. Therefore, all payments must be made on the fact, having previously made sure that you have delivered the car that was agreed and it is in good condition.
