Very nice flavour choices from local fruits

The staff is a bit too arrogant for my taste and seems annoyed when customers come into the shop. The ice cream is quite expensive and the flavours taste very similar - just sweet and not at all like premium ice cream + the Coffee flavour is horrific. Its not worth it.

Beautifully decorated cosy little place close to the seafront in Stone Town! This was a spontaneous visit which Im so glad I made.Definitely designed to be photographed, but the gelato here is exceptional. Rich flavours, smooth texture, wonderful.They play nice music too.The staff are friendly, overall lovely atmosphere.Put this on your to-do list!

You can eat the most delicious ice cream in Zanzibar! Compared to famous Italian gelato shops, its no better! Tiramisu is also delicious, so be sure to try it.

Came here for the ice cream and ice cream only....several times. Get one or two or three scoops. Good selection of delicious choices to choose from after walking or touring around in the Zanzibar sun. Enjoy it inside or right outside on their tables. The chocolate, coffee, and cookie flavors were my go-to choices. They also sell bottle water, sodas, and coffee too.

Quality gelato ice cream and reasonable price

Great gelato! Very reasonable prices with a good selection of flavors. I recommend the Nutella flavor or the chocolate. They also have milkshakes, juice, and panna cotta. It also has AC so its a great place to relax and be out of the Zanzibar heat for a bit! Highly recommend!

She just sell icecream but her attitude as if she owns entire zanzibar... very unaccepted behaviour of the manager... be careful this is Zanzibar... The ego she has shown me i will never go in this place ever again.

Come here in hope to get some nice coffee, but coffee was terrible. Really bad, looks like owner is bying some cheap stuff instead of proper beens. Be carefull and avoid if looking for coffee.

Restaurant with an Italian management, very friendly, service a bit slow, however lobster is very good, pizza good to be abroad, if you want to eat Italian food this place is the right choice! It’s better that you send a message to Mimmo do reservations

Best ice cream in Zanzibar

The place is very cosy and nice, however the ice cream is not all that great, there is room for improvement. We had the chocolate, coconut Nutella and cookies. It was bang on average.

The best Mango ice cream I have ever tasted, not even in Italy it is so good!The other flavors are also not bad but for the freshness of the ingredients I recommend the fruity flavors. Obviously the price is expensive compared to the quantity but still not exaggerated, we are talking about € 4 for a cup with 3 flavors. Recommended for Italians who want to take a break from the tasty Zanzibari cuisine

Definitely the best ice cream shop in Ston town ... but also in all Zanzibar !!! Open all day and every day until 10.30 pm in this pleasant location it is possible to enjoy a delicious Italian ice cream in traditional and refined tastes. Coffee and smoothies of fresh fruit are also excellent. Very useful is the presence of free wifi and the air conditioning of the room offers a moment of relaxation and refreshment from the great city heat. The prices are average and the staff friendly and helpful. The MamaMia ice cream shop is the same as in Nungwi where it has been the host in the whole island for some years !!! Absolutely a stop not to be missed ... just ask around and they will immediately show you the place as it is now a point of reference for the islanders and tourists !!! TOP !!!!

A nice little place on the street corner ... good quality ice cream and a great variety (the chef recommends a coffee-flavored coffee maker who loves sweet and passion fruit or pineapple ice cream for fruit lovers). Outdoor or indoor seating and a friendly and welcoming staff (like most locals) ...

Absolute recommendation! Nice service, chic style and the ice cream is as it should be. Be sure to try Vanilla, Cinnamon and Passion!

In my time in Stone Town I ended up going every day for coffee and cheesecake. The couple who work there are lovely, they are very friendly, the coffee is delicious and the cake is even better. I didnt try the ice creams but they were all the rage.

Cant wait to go back !!! The place is welcoming with a really nice staff! The ice cream? It is extraordinary from fruit to creamy flavors, plus it is not only an ice cream shop, but also a bar that offers the best coffee on the island and not to mention desserts such as tiramisu which I would rate 10 stars, cheesecake and panna cotta , simply fantastic! Obviously if you are in Stone Town you cant not go there 😉 !!!

Absolutely recommended ice cream parlor, besides the superlative ice cream, I recommend trying their espresso coffee, one of the few places in the world where you can enjoy real Italian coffee / cappuccino.
