Really outstanding. Loved the food, they have proper pizza oven which produces amazing pizzas. The owner is lovely & super hospitable, set in a very tranquil location. Can’t find a thing to fault!

Great pizzas, great atmosphere. Possible the best restaurant in Tanga.Love the food here, they make great pizzas but the prawns curry and pepper steak are also exquisite. They also have cheesecake!! which is a very rare find in Tanga.The staff are well trained and very helpful, though the service can take a while. However its perfect for talking and having a few drinks while you wait.Highly recommend!!

WOW! I rarely write reviews but this time Ive just had to. Ive been eating out in Tanzania for 6 months and by far this is my favourite place. I went to this place several times and all the meals I ordered were fantastic. Despite Pizzeria in the name, this place is very specialised in other cuisines too, it has hard to get choice of cheese, nice salads, best chicken schnitzel I had in many years, good Asian food. All delivered with elegance and warmth. And the owner of the place is just such a good spirit. Beautiful lady and a beautiful soul with an authentic and genuine hospitality! The only thing I didnt like in the place was wearing the masks by the staff. I believe everyone has the right to breath oxygen. I dont know however if they are forced to do it or if thats their own choice.

Delicious wood fired pizza. We each had a pizza to ourselves, which for normal people would be a lot of food. The crust was thin and crispy with the smoky flavor that a wood fire provides. There is plenty of outdoor seating in a charming setting

Nice private and cozy environment for a casual dinner. The foods decent for the price. Definitely an enjoyable experience if you like a quiet outdoor dinner set up.

One of the best and only good restaurant in Tanga.On December 2020 I hosted my small birthday party with them....the food was superb.

Had ordered steak which was ok its quite in s secluded area opposite mkonge hotel. The lighting was dark so we would hardly see my food. I dont know the prices as i was invited for dinner.

The best food so far in Tanzania, found after 6 months of travelling in this country. You can try everything here, especially salads, chicken cutlet and chinese food. All is just perfect! Moreover the owner makes this place special and opens heart for everyone. Thank you so much for such a warm welcome every day!

Really nice and cozy restaurant. Great food, more than just pizza on the menu. A real toilet if you need to use that. You have to wait for your food 30-60 min and that is very common on every restaurant in tanzania. Highly recommend this restaurant!

I would recommend this restaurant to all western tourists craving for some good old Italian pizza. Good options include the 2018 pizza, the chicken pizza, and Thai vegetarian curry. The vegetarian sambusas are amazing, though its a bit of a lottery. One time we got a sambusa that was still frozen at the core.The staff was nice and welcoming and the dining environment was nice. Such a good pizza. If youre here for long, and get tired of the local food, have a break at Pizzaria Damore. The Napoli pizza is delicious. Careful where you lean, though, as you may get fresh paint on your pants!

The Place was nice but on the Pizza was just a hint cheese and no Oregano. That means the taste was not okay.

Usually I do not write reviews on Google. But this first time already. The reason is: I am surprised and angry about the bad review of marco david moroni. Nothing of what the Lord writes seems to me right.The restaurant is the best I have visited in Tanga and beyond in many other places so far. And I know many jobs in Africa and South America.Here I found the best meat quality I have ever received on Tanzanias coast. The price-performance ratio is right: The dishes all cost around 16,000 SH, that is about 5 to 6 EURO! At the same time I am basically prepared to pay for quality and do not pay attention to the quantity on the plate.The restaurant is run by Jenny and Hans from Mozambique / Switzerland. Jenny learned the pizza bakery from Italians in Europe and passed it on to her well-rehearsed team in the kitchen. Everything is freshly prepared, the original stone pizza oven ensures the right quality of the pizza. The mozzarella is made according to an original recipe!If you like fat USA pizza, you may be disappointed to get an Italian one. But thats no reason to complain ;-)You can look into the kitchen and watch the crew dressed in neat aprons and bonnets at work.The service is very nice, helpful and fast. You have to wait for the food, but you get everything fresh at the table. And since the environment is beautiful, the time passes quickly even with a cool drink.The red wines of the house come from South Africa and are very drinkable (and affordable!).A very nice selection of food, delicious meat dishes and good fish and seafood menus make the decision difficult. Not to mention the pizza. Ive tried three and can recommend them all (Calzone, Jennys, Bollywood). The fish is freshly delivered daily by local fishermen - I have seen it myself. Special offers of fish or lobsters come from Mozambique, depending on the possibilities.I have become a regular in my long stay in Tanga - and there is a reason for that.Why do I give the restaurant 5 stars without hesitation?* Very good food, interesting selection of food, all freshly prepared with a very good attention to quality.* Warm hosts. Jenny personally inquires about the welfare of her guests and their opinions on the food. This does not seem contrived. Gladly recipes are exchanged.* Nice ambience: beautiful original wooden tables (no plastic far and wide!)! Also under original wooden and straw pavilions, hung with tasteful towels. You can sit in the well kept garden or on the airy terrace on the first floor. Small bats fly under the roofs - a good sign for me.* Jenny loves animals, especially dogs, which sometimes suffer a lot in the Muslim country ... In the back of the property, the eight dogs have found a small refuge.Therefore, do not hesitate to take your faithful four-legged friend to the restaurant. He is treated there as a guest. The service is also very friendly to the dogs.This courtesy and affection for the poor creatures is for me a very good sign and worth a star.* Jennys runs a farm outside of Tanga, including 25 cows. Your farm delivers fresh and ecological food directly to the kitchen of the restaurant. The mozzarella is homemade and tastes great. The same goes for all other dairy products.Do not forget to try the homemade cheese cake and the homemade ice cream made with the best ingredients!:-)P.S.Nobody paid me for this review. The owners of the restaurant will learn nothing about it, since I write under a small pseudonym.

If you want to eat a rickety pizza, with little filling and very expensive in relation to quality this is the place. In general terms it is not ugly, the tables are outdoors and within all the service is acceptable. The pizzas and the dessert are left to be desired.
