My husband and I recently returned from Tanzania after completing the 7-day Lemosho Route Kilimanjaro hike and five days of safari with Habari Adventure.When choosing a company for both our Kilimanjaro hike and safari, I did extensive research comparing many companies’ costs, reviews, offerings, etc. Habari stood out to me for a number of reasons including many positive reviews, very competitive prices, and the fact that the company is locally owned and operated in Tanzania, which was important to me. From the first time I contacted Habari Adventure, the communication was always incredibly quick (even with a 7-hour time difference I always received replies almost immediately) and very helpful. Over the course of several months while we planned our trip, Habari was always so accommodating of any requests or questions that we had regarding renting equipment, how to get necessary COVID tests in country, and itinerary changes.To start with our Kilimanjaro hike – the crew that accompanied us on the mountain was beyond incredible. Our two guides, Stan and Elias, were amazing, and from day 1 were completely dedicated to making sure our climb was both successful and enjoyable. They kept us motivated and positive every day and we would not have been successful in our summit without their constant encouragement. Each night after dinner they gave us a briefing of what our next day would look like and checked our heart rate and oxygen levels to make sure we were staying healthy at altitude. In addition, our cook Priva and our five porters were such a great, fun group. Every night after getting to camp the crew would be laughing and talking together and it definitely spoke to how well they are treated by Habari. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience hiking Kilimanjaro!For our five-day safari, Habari Adventure organized our entire trip to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Our guide and driver Living was exceptional and made our safari experience truly unforgettable. He was so knowledgeable and answered every question that we had about everything from animals and plants to history and culture. In addition, it was clear that he was very experienced and always knew where to go to make sure we had the best animal viewings. We saw everything we had hoped to and more, and definitely had many once-in-a-lifetime moments! All of our accommodations were also great and the staff at each location was above and beyond.I cannot say enough good things about Habari Adventure. From airport pick-up to drop-off, everything was so smooth and well-organized we never had to worry about anything. We had such an amazing time in Tanzania, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wonderful, local company for Kilimanjaro or safari (or hopefully both!)

When our flights were delayed, they adjusted accordingly without hesitation -“Hakuna Matata.” When I travel, I like to collect soccer jerseys from the places we go, so one of my only requests was to find a Simba FC jersey. On the last day, Stan (the owner) and Michael drove us around Moshi on the hunt for this jersey, which seemed to be harder to come by than you would think! So, when I say Habari Adventure does everything they can for their customers, they really do!Our Kilimanjaro Hike – Our crew: Stan, Elias, Jimmy, Raymond, Priva, Thomas, Armani, and Revo were absolutely amazing. I haven’t taken a trip with any other company in Tanzania, but when you look around other camps and talk to others on the trail, I would have to say that no one else was having as much fun and camaraderie as we were with our crew; we were like a family. The hike itself was both a mental and physical battle. My wife and I, not being avid hikers, lucked out with the weather. Every day it was sunny, and cold but we didn’t experience any rain or snow. Needless to say, our experience was amazing and hope to do the hike again someday!Our 5-day safari - Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Our guide, Living, made our safari experience truly unforgettable. He knew where all the right spots were, and we saw animals that can be challenging to see on every trip. Male lions, leopards, cheetahs can sometimes be hard to find. Living found us all of these and in some cases, they were on the move, not just sleeping. There is nothing like seeing an animal like these in action, definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We got to know Living quite well as we ate dinner with him every night and traveled around with him for 5 days. He was very experience, friendly, knowledgeable, and we enjoyed every moment!The experience was unlike any other and we couldn’t have done it without the hard work, smiling faces, and massive amounts of support from our team and friends at Habari Adventure.If you are looking for the best Kilimanjaro and safari experience from a locally owned and operated company, with a dedicated, lovable crew, then look no further than Habari Adventure!

There are not enough great things that I can write about Habari Adventure. Stan has created something really special. We did the 7 Day Machame Route as well as a 3 day safari with Habari. From the very beginning, everything was extremely smooth and easy. Stan was incredibly easy to work with (and incredibly responsive) while setting everything up. He is the hardest worker I have ever met and went above and beyond to make sure that everything was set up perfectly. One of our group had her luggage lost on the way to Tanzania and she was lent all the necessary equipment until one of the porters was able to run her bag up to the camp we were at. All of our guides (both trek and safari), chefs, waiters, and porters were amazing and supportive. A HUGE thanks to Stan, Abdi, Living, Priva, Uncle Ray, Alan, Jimmy, etc. Every person in our group made the summit and had an amazing time on both the trek and the safari. There is no other company to even consider. Habari Adventure is amazing in every way.

A huge thank you to Habari adventure for the incredible and unforgettable safari experience in Serengeti and Ngorongoro for our anniversary. Alex our guide and new found friend made this trip special filled with great memories. He is well versed with anything and everything we asked about Tanzania or the animals. His careful driving kept us going trough muddy tracks deep to Ndutu where an incredible spectacle was happening. We were in the middle of thousands of wildebeest calving! Deciding to climb Kilimanjaro is one thing but knowing who to book your trek through is another thing all together. After careful research, Habari Adventures came into bright, brilliant focus. Habari Adventures is a local company based in Moshi and the reviews left by fellow climbers who have used this company were more than enough to convince us that we had found the right company. The reviews did not exaggerate or fabricate what we went on to experience first-hand. From the moment we got in touch, Stan and Catherine had us feeling like friends right from the start. As for the actual 7-day trek, it was incredible beyond words. And to stand on top of Kili, with no other groups or climbers in sight, listening to Uncle Ray (one of our wonderful porters) and Stan singing African tunes to us while waiting for the sunrise – it’s a memory that we will take to our grave.Aside the spectacular treasures that Kilimanjaro herself shared with us, a large part of the magic came from our team – the most wonderful people that held our hands, carried our gear, and supported us all the way. Stan, Priva, Leo, Amani, Julius, Michael, Uncle Ray, and Alan, you will stay in our hearts and remain etched in our memories forever.Stan created Habari some seven years ago from nothing. He comes from extremely humble beginnings, working as a porter in his early adult life, putting himself through tourism school to become a guide, and then in 2015, setting up his own tour company. Stan and team keep up your wonderful energy, zest, and work ethic; you guys are amazing! We will be back in the future with our two boys when they are old enough to climb this wonder of Africa and we will be calling on Habari to take us to the Roof of Africa once more. Hakuna Matata!We capped off our Kili climb with a four-day safari to Tarangire national park, the Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti, under the excellent guidance of Shirima. It was spectacular!

A friend and I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in March 2021. We worked with Habari Adventure and were well cared for. I especially loved them from day one when I message them about this unforgettable trip. They were so friendly, organized and several went out of their way to give us extra service. Elias and Imanuel were our guides and were kind, patient, helpful, strong men. I was grateful for Nickson for taking care of our toilet tent/bucket. It was much appreciated. The food was more than what we expected (so delicious) our chef (Thomas) is an amazing man he made the best food and was always hot and on time. We followed the Rongai route up to Kibo and then joined other routes to the summit. We returned down the Marangu route. I was so happy to see two sides of the mountain and experience the two trails. Stan the owner of Habari adventure he is a clever man, helped us with questions and all arrangements.Stan made us to feel Tanzania as our new home because of his explanation, encouragements and he gave us some gifts after the hike. Definitely a trip to remember the rest of my life! Leornad helped me to Uhuru peak and I enjoyed all hours talking with our guides as we walked every day on the way as well as playing cards at the camp. Hopefully we will come back soon for safari to Serengeti and other parks with this local company. This is a most gorgeous, unique place in the world. Im so glad I got to experience it fully! We used Habari adventure for our climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro in September of 2020. When making reservations for the trip of a lifetime, a year in the planning, one hopes that the outfitter you settle on wont let you down. I have to say that the Habari team were outstanding. Everything from day one when we started to chat with Stan was fabulous. He arranged thing clearly and at a very reasonable prices. Our guides Nixon and Gabriel were the best. They were focused on our safety first as well as our success. I would have to say that without their focus and professionalism, some of our team of four may not have made the summit.The hotel in Moshi was fantastic, comfortable, safe and the food was delicious.Habari adventure gets my highest recommendation! They enabled the most amazing and difficult trip of a lifetime!

Amazing Experience with Habari AdventureIf you’re looking for the best tour operator in Kilimanjaro you have found the place. Habari Adventure was professional from beginning to end. Our guide Gilbert was the most experienced guide on the mountain and our assistant guide Elias was experienced and amazing as well. They were able to get a group of all six of us to summit and down. They had the best equipment and food on the mountain. We were well taken care of, and all of the porters, cooks, guides and helpers or professional, friendly, and an absolute pleasure to be around. The summit porters were so knowledgeable and great as well. We were always well prepared each day and always knew what was coming up next. We saw so many other people unprepared and unable to summit but with Habari Adventure we were all successful! As well for the safety, they are also the best. I had a situation arise (I passed out) due to low blood sugar and Gilbert was able to quickly and calmly get my blood sugar back to a safe level. He had all the correct medical equipment and knew EXACTLY what to do. I never could have made it to the summit without Gilbert and could not have made it down without him and Mark the summit porter. Honestly, this company is amazing. No need to look any further.On a side note I also did a week safari with them which was amazing. Our safari guide Jackson was very knowledgeable, the accommodations were great, and the food was excellent! Plus we saw the big 5! I will definitely recommend Habari Adventures to everybody who wish to visit Tanzania

Best trip with Habari AdventureI climbed Kilimanjaro with Habari adventure a local tour provider based in Moshi. We did the 7 days Machame route and really did have a trip of a lifetime only made possible by the amazing service, knowledge and support from the best team ever.The service, from the airport, the climb, the celebration dinner and tour of Moshi was amazing and could not be faulted. The guides were excellent giving us the benefit of all their experience on the mountain as well as their love of KilimanjarooAs a group with Habari adventure we always felt special, from the camp facilities, the smell of gorgeous food (the chef was amazing), having our own toilet and the staff. The porters are truly awesome and inspirational!Overall I could not fault Habari adventure and they really did make my trip to Kilimanjaro a once in a lifetime experience so thank you!

I absolutely loved my experience both climbing Kilimanjaro and a 3 day safari. The guides and porters on the mountain are incredible. They are always willing to assist (including carrying your day pack) and I can confidently say without their support, encouragement and assistance I would not have been able to summit.For the safari my guide was very knowledgeable about the animals and environment. He answered any and all of my questions and made it a great experience.

I am a student who went on a Kilimanjaro trip guided by this company and I wish to express my deepest gratitude to the amazing guides for making my trip memorable and one of the best experiences of my life! The porters were very friendly, and when travelling on a students budget (not much haha) they sure do make that money go far! They set up my tent, cooked all the meals, cleaned (a huge plus). The first few days up Kilimanjaro are enjoyable, very slow, and relaxing. That summit day hits you like a sack of bricks though! Even through my struggle, the guides constantly checked on me and helped me ski slide down! Fun all around! I recommend it!

After searching on trip advisor for a good and reputable company, we found Habari Adventure and decided we would choose them for our trip. We booked the 6 day Machame trek as we wanted to stay in huts rather than the tents. From start to finish it was incredible! We were collected from the airport by a driver (Michael). Michael was so friendly and welcoming and answered all our questions - what a great guy!The tour included a hotel stay before and after the trek- the hotel was great- clean, spacious and the perfect place to relax! It had air conditioning, pool and breakfast included.Stanley was fantastic and provided us with all the information we needed and rented us all the equipment so that we were fully equipped for the trip.The trip was 6 days in total. We had a team of 8 - 2 guides, a waiter/porter, a cook and porters.I cannot speak highly enough about the team- they were all brilliant. Jackson and Justin were the best guides- they supported us all the way and we couldn’t have done it without them. Their knowledge, enthusiasm and encouragement helped us to reach the summit! :)Michael- the waiter/porter was a great guy, he was extremely friendly, caring and attentive. He really went out of his way to help us and he couldn’t do enough for us.
