This is a nice place, rooms are ok and meals are good. We took a room with a balcony but this one was finally not available. However, the staff was really nice.The main deception is about the activities, we have been strongly overpriced for the activities we organized with them.

Great budget hotel with extremely friendly and nice staff. Rooms (and especially their bathrooms) are on the small side, but what did you expect for under $15 USD in a private room... Great value overall. Location is very quiet, though a bit out of the way if you wanna walk out and have amenities at your door. Would definitely recommend but have the right expectations going in

The best private room for the money paid. Hot shower, clean and comfy bed. The owner and his staff is so friendly, respectful and quite. The breakfast is the best and so filling. Best view of Kilimanjaro in town from the field accross the street. Just book it.

We had a very pleasant stay in secret garden hotel! I was with 3 friends to relax but also see the beautiful surroundings. The staff was very friendly and recommended us several day trips including the hot springs and a coffee tour. The warm shower and a tasty vegetarian diner with a view on the Kilimanjaro were a good way to end the day full of activities!

This is just a great place to be! Rooms are spacious and we could even take a bath, lovely! Everything was clean and they even have some toys for the kids.Then there is that very nice terrace on the balcony. I regret not making any pictures.Food is great, staff the nicest we met! They are great with kids. A very big recommendation from us for this excellent hotel!

The staff is absolutely friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is generous and delicious. You can also get a good glimpse of the Kilimanjaro on a clear day. Absolutely fantastic! Ensure that you sip on Kilimanjaro beer as you take in the ambience. More value than your moneys worth. In short, simple and lovely.

Was a very nice place in close proximity to Moshi town. The views of Kilimanjaro are super, the food is great and very sweet, the staff is so so friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and the terrace is a good lace to chill on. They even have games you can play as you socialize

Had an excellent stay at the Secret Garden. Service and security were great and it was a perfect place to stay before and after our climb of Mount Kilimanjaro. They were a little slow cooking dinner for our team of 12 but that is understandable (especially in Tanzania). I would highly recommend The Secret Garden if you are staying in Moshi!

Quiet butiful place. Nice sitting area with small bar. Sometimes you can see the Kilimanjaro from the balcony where the sitting area is. Food is good and the people friendly. Rooms and bathrooms are also good and every bed has a moskito net.

Great place to stay especially if youre looking for a good price. Breakfast was amazing and staff was very welcoming. They also have a great view of Kilimanjaro.

Basic, simple or even crude rooms but clean and neat, with very hot and nice showers. The dining area and bar however, are beautifully set up on a large balcony or sun deck with interesting local flavored furniture, making it a favorite hang out. The food is good and wifi reasonable and the prices very good. Will come back, God willing.

I would go there again and can recommend the place to friends. The rooms and bath were basic but very clean. The terrace has a nice viewpoint the Kili. The food was top. We did have a good time with the service guys - they are funny.

My experience in The Secret Garden was amazing. The owner is amazingly nice, he is actually a Masai so he can easily give you advice on what to see and visit. Plus the bar&restaurant has great food and the best view of Mount Kilimanjaro. Totally recommend it.

Mood was good, but owner always gives you overpriced bill if you pay in local currency... beware I payed 25$ for dinner. So my suggestion is pay in dollar which is less confusion. 2nd they may offer you taxi from airport for 40$, which is double of usual hotel price. 3rd, location is inconvenient. You cant go to central Moshi by walk. 4th all electricity is turned off during day time which means no Wifi no hot water. And even wifi is on that is super slow. Overall, I recommend you to go somewhere more expensive then you can save money and time.

The accomodation was overbooked and they would direct you to a significantly worse hotel.Blackouts throughout the night.No security or staff at the hostel during the night.

Very pleasant place, breakfast in clear weather with a view of Kilimanjaro. The food is very tasty here, a unique menu that cannot be found in other cafes in Tanzania. Lived here for over a week, beds are spacious and comfortable. The staff is very friendly, they organized a trip to Chala lake for us. Everything went great, thank you very much. If we are in Moshi, then only to you.

My son and I have just stayed here for 3 nights. We were picked up from the airport. Everything well organized. The people are very friendly and helpful.Its a nice, peaceful place. You can see Kili from the terrace. Very tasty breakfast.

The room was fine. Comfortable bed although it lacks cleanliness to the room. Very old cabinets. The worst is the bathroom. Disastrous. The worst Ive seen in my life. The lack of cleanliness of the bathroom has added that the furniture (bathtub, sink) are in poor condition. Its disgusting to use it. If this aspect and cleanliness will improve, the note would be much better.

We stayed at this great lodge at the beginning of our Tanzania trip. Room was very clean and the bathroom was simple but also functional. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. Above all, the tours booked were great.We recommend!!!
