Very nice motel with great natural grounds full of greenery, good food and beer, abundant outdoor seating, and terrific staff. Friend and I spent a week at the Elephant Motel there because of a vehicle breakdown and was very happy with the stay. The Elephant is one of most pleasant motels Ive stayed at in 29 African countries.

Good old rotary spot close to the marvellous Quite unknown Nationalpark MKOMAZI.. good standard food, every item old fashioned, but in good shape… always worth a stop worth between Moshi and Tanga

Our regular stop en route to the north. It’s always clean and comfortable with good warm showers. Staff are hospitable and OK food. Great gardens with a play area for kids. Perfect place for a stop over or if you want to explore Mkomazi which is a lovely Park.

Quiet environment, the single rooms were big and comfortable and inexpensive. A few mosquitoes but they had big mosquito nets around their big beds. At 40,000 shs per night, it is a bargain!

Cute little motel right next to a national park. Very simple but clean rooms with OK beds and mosquito nets. A/C does not work in the majority of the rooms. WIFI is average in speed and connectivity. Friendly staff and good food for fair prices. Make sure to order your food on time as preparation times can go over an hour (as everywhere in Tanzania really).

Very beautiful setting in lovely grounds. All sorts of small critters wandering around -- monkeys in the trees. A pack of mongooses. Aircon works well. I am getting wifi in my room. The food is just fine. The manager and the staff are very friendly. Everything clean and comfortable. Hot water, too. Very quiet.

I visited Elephant Motel, Same in 2012 things were satisfactory. However, I visited once again with my girl friend this year July 3, 2014 for four days. It was wonderful to be at this hotel. Some of the nice improvements we saw included, WI-FI anywhere within the hotel, air conditioning in rooms, friendly staff and quick service. It made our safari memorable. We are looking forward to visit again. Next year with our friends.

A nice place in many ways.Friendly staff, but extremely slow service. We were presented with the menu but when choosing it showed that almost nothing in the menu was existing. We finally settled for French fries and asked to have these well fried. Finally, after 45 minutes the fries came, light yellow. A chai took 15 minutes to produce.

Really great hotel. There are prettier but there is nothing to say. The staff really just lovely and helpful. Very clean rooms and comfortable beds. The service is fast, yes yes it exists in Africa. You stay among the vervet monkeys. The food is good and the breakfast really good. Have a good stay
