Gorgeous rooms, over looking the pool and and the sea, foods good here, its very chilled and a perfect place to recharge and relax. Great vibe and Mauro is very helpful with local knowledge and all our needs. Staff are very friendly. Food is good.

Villa Dida Resort, is one of the best restaurants in this area. I strongly recommend their local & italian menu, as well as the best ever drink bar. The food is good for adults as well as for children. Their drinks alco & virgin very fresh and tastefull. Very nice location. Peace and quiet place. Beautifull view, fresh breeze from the ocean. Professional and kind staff. What is more important for me... the only place in the area with best italian freshly grind Moka coffee. Just delicious.

Do not book here! We had to cancel our holiday due to COVID and they have taken all of our money for the booking. No partial refund or option to change dates which is totally unreasonable. They said to claim on insurance but, as they know, most providers do not cover for COVID cancellation. This has made our disappointment even greater and were now questioning whether we even want to travel to Zanzibar at all. Very sad

We booked our hotel via Booking.com. To be fair, it was a non-refundable stay because it was a last minute holiday. But a few days before our stay I started feeling ill and tried to cancel - the owner wouldnt budge at all and wouldnt even give me a partial refund or offer to give a full refund in case they can re-sell our room. Then one day before we were about to fly my PCR test came back positive, so I called Booking.com who contacted the owner and tried to negotiate with him because I can now prove that I have Covid but, again, he said Id have to pay the FULL price. I get that this is very short notice and not ideal for the hotel either, but to charge the full price for a service that I wont be using at all when I can prove with a PCR test certificate that Im lying in bed ill with Covid is pretty shocking and something Ive never experienced before. Now, the owner said I can just claim via my insurance but, as they should now, barely any insurance covers cancellation due to Covid these days, including mine, so we have just lost 500USD for something that is clearly not our fault. Its probably also important to note that we booked the last room available for this time period, so its not like the hotel is struggling at the moment. Again, I get that this whole pandemic has been really difficult for the hospitality industry but this would have been our first holiday in over 2 years and we have also suffered a lot financially and basically what this does is encourage people NOT to travel at all. They could have at least offered a partial refund or change of dates / voucher but they decided to completely rip us off, which sadly makes me not want to visit Zanzibar once recovered and we have decided to visit another country for our next holiday. Very sad!

A really nice hotel for a very relaxing holiday- Greetings to Mauro, Zacharia and Mario and everyone else -.We spent 14 days at Villa Dida in Pwani Mchangani. It is a beautiful hotel directly located on the eastern beach of the island. The familiar and courteous manner of the staff made it very easy for us to spend 14 days there. Thanks to the excursions of the tour guide Mario, we could also have nice impressions outside the hotel. At dinner, you have a direct view of the sea and are served with delicious food and fresh cocktails by Zacharia. You dont have to worry about WiFi either, this is available on request from the staff. Our room was spacious, had two showers and a large balcony overlooking the sea. Next to the pool (which is nicely lit in the evening) and the restaurant, there is also a direct access to the beach. During our visit, there was always someone to ask about anything. There was also construction work going on, which should be completed soon and will further expand the hotel. We can absolutely recommend the hotel for its cleanliness, beauty and location and hope to see the friendly staff again one day.

Very nice and helpful staff, I enjoyed their cocktails and pizza and also the deep tissue massage. The ocean view was also serene and the room was clean.

I dont recommend villa dida just because theyre thieves.We had a drink at Villa Dida on Christmas Eve and when it was time to pay the card machine was not working and they asked us to pay several times for the ticket that didnt come out of the machine.We were debited 5 times for the same amount and I have been trying to get a refund for 3 months now and nothing happens. In addition to stealing from us they are liars because they assured me that I would receive a refund and to this day I still havent received anything.I will remember that beautiful Christmas Eve. The accommodation and the whole team around Mauro made our vacation very special. Fatmas massage was sooo relaxing too! The warmth and cordiality, the incredibly delicious food, the good wine and the high-quality cocktails are worth every penny. Our room - tent - was clean, comfortable and really recommendable for couples. So romantic :) Thanks for the wonderful time, well be back for sure :)

If I could forgive 0 stars, I would do that!We arrived a day later, and thus were a day longer in Zanzibar. Therefore, the accommodation we have asked to postpone our booking one day back.This was not possible, not so bad. Advantage we can on the second day straight to our room as we paid this room since the day before.But far from it.The room was not ready. First you have put off us with a breakfast. What was okay because we had hunger. (Overall the food was okay, but unfortunately there was the same every day breakfast) But really we just wanted to our room, change clothes (I had long compression stockings because of the flight), freshen etc. After breakfast, in which we real time have left, we thought okay and now the room.But, even as the room was not ready. We were asked again to drink at the bar of water. The water was drunk and the room obviously NOT ready. The ground was still wet from mopping. have made only after we print we were allowed into the room. But the floor was not swept. The maid was still cleaning.Therefore, the manager asked us to take place at the pool. He wants to offer us an alternative.This alternative was right next to a construction site (another house was built on the property, but more on that later) means one would ever construction noise next to him. But this apartment was not yet ready to move, but still other guests in use. We wondered where exactly will be our advantage and rejected the offer. At this point: that was the only alternative that we were offered!was ready when our apartment, we realized its not a beach bungalow. It has neither sea view nor has direct access to the beach. Also the air conditioning was working though, but not with much success. In the evening it was more pleasant than in it outside the bungalows. This lack we have repeatedly addressed to this day and the following days. At night it was so warm, one that to a good nights sleep could not think. But as if by magic something has been changed and the air conditioning so strongly cools the room, that even though you have set 26 degrees, it felt like one in a refrigerator. Now it was at night not too warm, but much too cold.Add to this that it is not only at night did not come to his recovery, but also during the day we had a hard time with it. On the beach, a wooden ship was built that should serve as a beach bar. Here means you have hammered daily and sawed. At the pool there was no better, however, as another house was built as already described above.We were to get to Zanzibar to relax and that was not possible. So we wanted to ask the manager, in the circumstances, to the non us were pointed to adopt the last three nights. This was not possible.Instead, he told us that he has video footage of us, showing how we are here by the pool and relax. As bad as it can not go us well.What a cheek, to film us without our permission!When we were on our way to dinner, he told us to let us taste our food. That sentence he said with such emphasis that we have gone better except house dinner. From then on we took not a single meal for us and have 3 days checked before. Again, we were re-filmed (without permission) from him as we climbed into our rental car and drove away.

We rested from 02/27/21 to 03/07/21. Everything is wonderful, wonderful rest! Quiet and calm hotel, the staff is polite, smiling, cleaning and linen change every day. The photo from the site corresponds, the rooms are spacious, comfortable beds, the kitchen is wonderful. A clean pool with sun loungers, a huge indoor swing on the beach. The Internet is caught only in the restaurant.

Small, quiet, relaxing and very welcoming.Very friendly and welcoming staff and almost all staff members speak Italian.Very good food served calla carta always with a choice of fish and one of meat or vegetarian.Restaurant with a beautiful sea view.In the lobby there is a library with exclusively Italian books.On the beach there are private sun beds and umbrellas.Very comfortable bed with mosquito net canopy.

A well-deserved relaxation in a corner of paradise!I am only writing now, almost a year after my holidays spent in this little corner of paradise. Despite the bad adventure that happened to us during the flight from Malpensa (obligatory stop in Benghasi due to technical failure), once we landed in Zanzibar, right from the airport we realize that everything has remained unchanged and natural as a few years before (evocative unloading of luggage in airport...:-).Private minibus just for us (plus a couple, the Pressorè !!!), 25-30 minutes by road and here we are in this little corner of paradise: VILLA DIDA.Few rooms, few guests, a lot of relaxation, a lot of joy and sympathy from all the staff (a special thanks to Fatuma and Mario) and our holiday companions: 6 people in all the first week, 10 people the second.We stayed in a suite (first on the left looking at the sea, with single access) thanks to the upgrade they granted us following the small inconvenience. What can I say: spacious, clean room, with a unique and magical view.The Villa, as it is not a resort, is a real house on the beach, at the complete disposal of guests: swimming pool, restaurant, bar, beach, massage center ... You feel at home, all thanks to the friendliness and helpfulness of the entire staff.The play of water created by the tides is breathtaking: at low tide, it is possible to take hours walks up to the coral reef, accompanied by not too nagging beach boys, and see unique and typical flora and fauna of the Indian Ocean , while at high tide the beach is suitable for swimming.Eating: unlike the resorts / villages that are scattered around the world, at Villa Dida you decide in the morning what to eat, thanks to the à la carte menu that is left during breakfast. Fish (fresh and of the day), meat, Zanzibari specialties, pasta ... every dish is made at the moment, but above all of excellent quality and with a refined taste. And if you want to make a variant ... just ask ...The atmosphere that is then created is unique, as is the bond that is established with the other guests and with the entire staff: excursions, walks on the beach, the sweet lazing in the sun, visits to the neighboring villages, everything becomes magical.A tip: leave your shoes at home as they are removed on the first day of the holiday and only put them back on upon departure.

Beautiful place with a wonderful sea that would have enormous possibilities to be unique: unfortunately there are many jobs to do and the food is not up to par. Missing the fruit ..! They gave us pineapple, banana and watermelon and rarely papaya and mango: this at breakfast because it was really small for main meals. Too bad because the place is beautiful !! But too poor management, how sad.

A magical place, in every sense. A structure and an environment on a human scale, here everything seems a gift: luxuriant nature, an absolutely peaceful atmosphere, dream views. Dida and the entire staff welcome you as one of them, and all the people of Zanzibar have an absolute availability towards anyone.This is EDEN, and here I have reached my NIRVANA.

A style structure exudes Zanzibari atmosphere. Unfortunately, even if the owners are friendly, there are huge problems with the management of the resort. We ran out of electricity and water several times just because no one knew what to do. Patchy and smiling hakuna matata.

Zanzibar is an earthly paradise that will capture your gaze and your mind with its beauty. Villa Dida is the place that will steal your heart. Healthy panting mama!

Superlative and well-kept resort, we were super pampered and dida and her staff really looked after us and treated us very well. Very clean, beautiful rooms, you can eat very well. Beautiful swimming pool, all very quiet and refined.

Best Erholungsurlaub, ever!!!Mauro und Team unterstützen jeden Gast hervorragend, habe ich so noch nicht erlebt dürfen. Perfekt zum herunterkommen und chillen. Der Tag startet mit einem sehr guten Frühstück und Kaffee, dass Essen die Empfehlung der Küche sowie a la card ist absolut empfehlenswert. Wir haben auch bei den Nachbarn gegessen, jedoch nichts in dieser Qualität gefunden. Die Zimmer wurden jeden Tag perfekt gereinigt und mit Blumen sehr schön geschmückt. Der Pool ist jeden Tag gereinigt worden und zum Meer eine echte Abkühlung gewesen. Sehr gut hat uns auch der Umweltgedanke von Mauro und Dida gefallen, keine Wasser Plastikflaschen, sondern Wasser in Glasflaschen -- bei unseren Spaziergängen am Strand haben wir die Auswirkungen von Plastikflaschen -müll gesehen!Wir sind nur mit dem Taxi gefahren, jedoch konnten wir Gäste beobachten die mit Leihrädern den Strand entlanggefahren sind. Als negativ haben wir bei unseren Strandspaziergängen die Strandverkäufer empfunden, welche permanent das Geschäft suchen. Diese dürfen die Gäste am Privatstrand jedoch nicht ansprechen.
