We liked the hotel. All-inclusive option is well worth trying. All-inclusive means ALL- inclusive, including alcohol, nice wine and fresh coconuts ).Nice show every evening.Restaurant is great, we appreciated all the efforts chef-cook puts. For those thinking of staying here DONT !!!! This resort has terrible customer service and can not be trusted. We got COVID and were not able to travel to Tanzania. The resort said to provide documentation and they would provide a voucher to use within 2 years. They then came back and said they would not honor it and would not refund any of our money. Please consider going to a resort that cares about their customers and will do what they need to to make it right !!

“Tulia is not good, it is paradise” This was told to us by the driver when transporting us to the hotel. It was hard to believe as we were just leaving another 5-star hotel, where we were very disappointed, so our expectations were not so high. But I can absolutely confirm his words. We have experienced great “wow effect” immediately after entering the gate of the hotel and getting very warm welcome. Great personnel kept us surprised during all our stay. We have visited many 5-star hotels all around the world, but Tulia set absolutely new levels for our future expectations.Food – best food, FAR BEST FOOD, we have ever had at any hotel. The plating is amazing, and it tastes as it looks. It is a pity that there is no Michelin stars given out at Zanzibar. I believe that chef Mgeni would have a good chance to get one. Just get ready to increase your weight. There is great choice at breakfast, new menu for lunch and dinner every day. And you can even ask for anything else, if they have it, they are happy to serve you.Garden – romantic, lovely garden. Clearly built for years and you see many people who are taking care about it morning to evening. I have never ever seen something like that, it is several levels better than the second-best garden I have seen before. It is more like botanical garden. There are many butterflies flying around you. Just impressive. For animal lowers – you can see bush babies there during the night. They love bananas and the best place to see them is romantic dinner area.Staff – amazing level of service, everyone really took care. I would even say that they were spoiling us and it made them happy to do it :-). I was very surprised that there is 3 times more staff than maximum number of guests. And this was visible on every step. Everyone was relaxed and smiling on us, waiting for our wishes, and QUICKLY (again not usual at Zanzibar) fulfilling our requests. Owners and almost all management are from Europe, which is probably the main reason, why this hotel is at this level.Bungalows – we were at front beach bungalow and garden bungalow. The first one is really huge with nice private beach equipped with luxury furniture; it was another “wow” when we entered. Garden bungalow is still big enough with romantic garden around.Beach – smaller, but never crowded. When being at front beach bungalow, no need to use it. And people from garden bungalows spread between trips, swimming pool, bar and beach. So we were there mostly alone, sometimes with one or two more couples.Internet – surprisingly, sufficient speed and quality. It was hard to find some imperfection at this perfect hotel, so the only thing I suggest is to improve the internet signal quality at the beach, the signal was there, but the browsing was slower than at any other part of the hotel. One outdoor wi-fi would make it.Cleanliness – you can see several people who are cleaning and cleaning and cleaning all day long. Great job.Conclusion - the hotel is built and managed with clever brain (very unusual at Zanzibar) and with huge heart, what makes it different. We loved our stay there and be sure that we will be back at this paradise… Thanks a million, Tulia team.

We weren’t staying at the hotel but we were lucky that they allowed us to have lunch there and enjoy the beach and the outdoor area (you should call and book in advance if you are not staying at the hotel).It’s of course not cheap but it is well worth it for a day of relaxation. The staff were great and the beach and swimming pool were perfect!

The staff (ALL the staff, incl gardeners and house keeping) were extremely friendly and outgoing to make us feel welcome and relaxed. The facilities provided are excellent and the food of a very high standard. The all-inclusive booking really does include everything (except excursions from the resort). There is entertainment provided each night with dinner which is varied and interesting. Although it is a bit expensive, I would recommend Tulia in a heartbeat.

Best hotel, small enough to provide tranquility and yet large enough to have facilities of a big hotel. Went with family and despite initial reservation of booking 3 nights and worry what the kids would do, it was well worth it.From the water slides that kids couldn’t get over to electric scooters and the bicycles for morning rides into the village to kayaks that kids could enjoy the place was just full of fun.Recommend this hotel for family and individuals looking for an escape from daily routine, I would rate this hotel among the best I have visitedThe staff were quite friendly and went out of their way to understand our preferences. Super lush place, very helpful and friendly staff. We didnt stay in the hotel but we did visit a couple of times one for lunch which was excellent. Main attraction though was the water slides which kept the kids very happy for several hours !

Tulia was a great experience from the beginning till the end. We arrived in Zanzibar very late (3 AM), but they picked us up with a nice car and they offered us some fresh towels and cold water.When we arrived we were given a really tasty mango juice and a fruit platter. The breakfast, lunch and dinner overall are good. Mostly with many choices and you can also customise your choice of meal.It is not a huge place which makes it friendlier and cozy. The staff were really attentive and nice all the time. Especially Frederic who is actually one of the newest members of the staff, was so nice to us, always asked if everything was going well and teaching us a lot of Swahili phrases!Tulia is full of nature, animals and very friendly staff. The beach is amazing with white sand and blue ocean. I would recommend Tulia to my friends and family. Also, we are already thinking about going back!

A little slice of heaven.This 16 villa resort completely exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail and quality in everything is outstanding. The staff are very attentive, the grounds are immaculately maintained and the facilities are 5 star. The food is delicious and the menu changes each day - there is something for everyone ranging from the freshest locally caught seafood, finest quality meat, vegetables and traditional Swahili meals. For the fussy - the staff are happy to work off script and cook off menu.The resort really focuses on relaxation - offering a free 1 hour massage for all guests, free airport transfers and a range of activities on premise such as bicycles, kayaks, paddle boards, wind surfing and water slides and snorkeling.

Paradise on Earth. Great fresh food, amazing beach and a swimming pool with a bar. Spacious but cozy rooms, paddle boards, sea kayaks and heaps of trips on offer. When you look up perfect vacation in the dictionary, this is it! The Tulia is absolutely breathtaking! The rooms are spacious as well as beautiful and have amazing views of the gardens and the ocean. The food is beyond compare and the dining experience was excellent! The complementary activities are wonderful as well! We were able to go snorkeling and swim with dolphins on Mnemba Island, tour Stone Town, see the monkeys in Jozani Forest, and take the Spice Tour. The best part is Lukas and his staff took care of all the planning! The tour guides they hired were great too! However, there were some days we didnt even want to leave the resort, but just enjoyed relaxing on the beach and by the pool (with water slides!) But the thing that makes the Tulia truly special is the staff. They all went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. They were very friendly and even took time to teach us some Swahili and share some cultural details with us. They really went out of their way with the little details: from cold water and towels at the airport pickup, to scheduling a Maasai show on the beach, to notes in our room from the cleaning staff, to helping us celebrate a friends birthday, to delivering umbrellas to our door on rainy days. We could not have asked for a better stay! Cant wait to go back!

Our stay at Tulia was perfection epitomised. We went for the all-inclusive package and were thoroughly spoilt with the selection of food, drinks, and activities. Lukas, Martin, Barbara and the staff were most hospitable and took very good care of us. Jakob, the chef, whipped up the most delicious meals using fresh local ingredients; all 3 meals of the day were fine-dining quality.A typical day at Tulia was spent lounging by the beach, swimming/kayaking in the sea, eating and drinking to our hearts content.We hope to be back one day!

We went on our honeymoon and without exaggeration it exceeded our expectations.Why?Because it is on the beachfront.Because it is a small hotel but nothing is missing (massages, two swimming pools, one of them with two very good size slides, two eating areas, one watching the sea, countless cocktails, a very complete gym, Yoga, etc.)Because they have an impressive level of cuisine, a very extensive menu and of a superior quality. They have their own garden and farm.Because the cleaning service is exquisite, they clean your room twice a day.And the best, and its hard to beat all of the above, is the service. A hotel that has 130 people for 16 rooms / cabins already tells you everything. Always with a smile on my face, and when I say always it is always. I could thank each one for their treatment because they deserve it but I would like to make special mention of Ramadhan. Hakuna Matata.

Lets travel around the world a bit, but when we find such a unique place, we have to share it. Yesterday we said goodbye to the wonderful Tulia Resort hotel in Pongwe, to which we went thanks to Przejowo.pl. The facility opened in 2015 consists of luxurious villas with a beautiful view of the ocean. However, this is not the most important thing .... the fabulous atmosphere in this hotel is created by the employees - they are nice, smiling, positive attitude. The food is delicious and beautifully presented. After 4 days of stay, when we were leaving, the tears in our eyes sprang up. It was an unforgettable time with exceptional people. We will definitely be back. JUMBO !!! ❤👌🍱🍹🍸🌞🌊

Friendly and unique atmosphere of the place. Everything on a professional level. Great drinks, all included in all in, perfect cuisine. There was a bit of fear of low tide in the eastern part of the island, but in the end it turned out to be an advantage, you could go to the sea for more than 1 km without shoes into the water. You can admire the starfish and the beauty of the corals while keeping the water knee-deep. You wont be bored here, they rent paddleboards and I recommend a bike trip, which was mainly enjoyed by my wife. I still have to mention the water slides, they are great and the only ones on Zanzibar.There was another stop on the island, Zuri, but that didnt leave us with such emotions as Tulia.In Tulia, everything is Hakuna matata!

I would describe our holiday in Tula in one word - fantastic!Starting with an unforgettable welcome to the sound of the drum, friendly Czech-speaking staff and fresh refreshments on a challenging journey. Accommodation was beautiful, cleaning perfect twice a day. The garden is beautiful, beautifully and carefully maintained, perhaps thanks to the planted plants, which serve as an insect repellent, no mosquitoes bothered us in the evenings or at night. I was surprised that they also have their own garden and breeding hens for domestic eggs. Food excellent, for children a choice from the childrens menu, friendly staff, still a smile on the face, nothing was a problem Hakuna Matata. The ebb was a great experience for us, the sea played with all shades of blue-green and revealed a beautiful view of different species of starfish, fish and hedgehogs. Water shoes are not needed, but if you want to discover the beauty of underwater life, they will be needed in some parts, due to exposed corals. Despite the low tide, the sea was clear, without the amount of algae we saw in other parts of the island. The ebb and flow is repeated twice a day so you dont really get bored. The hotel is one of the smaller ones, but thanks to the sufficient staff, the services are really perfect. It is also worth mentioning that they have water slides, the only one in the whole of Zanzibar. So what I recommend is renting a bike .... its really worth it😉

So I was really looking forward to a holiday in this resort, thanks to the reviews I read here, we should have left yesterday, but the deed escaped, someone decided for us and without us, so maybe in the fall we will also enjoy the beauty and well-being

The hotel is located on the coast of Pongwa, an hour taxi ride from the airport. The hotel is not bad, but Wow, there is no effect ... so many great reviews ... expected more, not bad, but no more ... The food is average for this price level, it should be better, they cook for a long time, the staff in the restaurant does everything slowly ... the director of the hotel with megalomania and presentations of the Herbalife level ... The hotel does not have its own beach, the cleaning is good, everything is clean, the sea is perfectly warm, but the second time for $ 1,500 a day I would definitely not go, and even if it was much cheaper too !! not the first time in Zanzibar and there are much better hotels !! For example, the Zuri hotel on Kendwa beach is perfect ... this one is 3+ compared to itStaying at the end of December 2020 ...

It was a pleasant experience. It deserves the name tulia, it was a total relaxation. Breakfast is quite varied. The food was good, the desserts, however, too small even for fine dining. Every evening there are different shows and I liked the fact that there were also waiters involved in dancing and music.And its okay that they do not always ask their clients if everything is okay.

A magnificent hotel where everything is thought out to the smallest detail. The room has absolutely everything - even a flashlight to walk in the evening in the garden or on the ocean floor. A wonderful restaurant and bar, shows every evening, incredibly beautiful nature.
