Peponi is a lovely, relaxed bohemian-vibed resort, sitting on a a stunning beach, surrounded by a tropical garden. Popular with overlanders and monkeys, bushbabies and banded-striped mongoose alike, a short walk from the lovey village of Kigombe. I stayed here for three weeks - and the staff basically became my family. I loved every minute of my stay, especially the pool and the fruit salad: Peponi and the staff will always be in my heart.

Was great, quiet as its off season. We had an issue with hot water in the rooms so we had to change rooms. Food was not that good, the staff down by the pool were really friendly and helpful. But staff in the rooms and restaurant were acting like they were forced to work. I still want to visit in peak season... UPDATE... I have now recently visited although not to stay but to have lunch. Food was great & staff were great, very friendly this time around. Definitely worth a visit & I will be going back...

A great place in Pangani, very nice rooms, delicious food, lot of trips to the ocean etc.that are very exciting and fun and interesting. You can also sleep in a tent if you want to, and that is also a very nice experience. Bathrooms are clean, the staff is very nice, and there are not many tourists around so you will have the closest to a normal experience as well as a local one. Big recommend!

Camped right next to the beach under a makuti shelter that enabled is to set up our table and chairs sheltered from the elements. They have a beautiful setting with a pool, lounge beds, swings, restaurant and all facilities you may want right next to a long stretch of beach. Plenty of reason to wind down and the kids just loved it, too! They have pricey room options but we just loved their campsites which was reasonably priced for such good facilities and location. A must visit place to wind down on the overland trail.

Camped at this lovely place.Amenities clean and showers with hot water.Food is fantastic, service good.Staff friendly and helpful.Generally very well organized.Communal areas beautifully decorated. Is right on the beach.Would definitely go again.

I booked Peponi for a long weekend getaway by the coast - and it did not disappoint! I stayed in a safari tent for two nights and went on their snorkel day tour. The tent was very nicely done; towels, blankets, fan and beach lounge blankets were provided. My tent was right on the beach, so waking up to the sunrise was so peaceful. The food was great (I will recommend trying any of the fish plates!) The staff asks you order your dinner in advance (before 5pm) which is nice as it allows them to be prepared with quick dinner service. The snorkelling and dhow boat day was SO FUN! I don’t want to give detailed events because I liked the fact that I didn’t know what to expect - but you can definitely expect the day to be great! Staying here is a must.

Amazing serene place, excellent food and staff are very supportive and friendly, a place to sit back on the colorful cushions and relax, unwind the stress, go peponi(heaven)

It didnt live up fully to my expectations based on earlier ratings and friends recommendations, but I would still consider to come back. The staff was very friendly. The pool was most of the time taken over by kids. Loved the lamb rack.

Fantastic get away on North coast of Tanzania. Staff are exceptional and the pizza is always very good. Check weather before going as rainy season makes the trip not advisable.

Incredible staff and the management are so welcoming and friendly, beautiful bandas and beachfront views with a lovely pool and relaxing area. The food is plentiful and a good variety to choose from. Pizza and vegetarian options also.

Awesome Place to Chill. One thing I like the most is that theres no Network reception therefore NO Disturbance from Outside World :). Swimming Pool is nice. Better to plan a visit with a Night Stay to enjoy fully.

I was there and wow it is beautiful and cleanI slept in the beach side camp and it was really okayThe food prices are quite reasonable and both Amina and Emmanuel took care of the guests well. So polite and friendly.I will definitely be back

Good place to pay a visit

The experience in Peponi Beach resort was very nice. We were there in July - the lodge is right on the beach.We accessed via public transport from Tanga (easy to find a minibus from there). The staff is very velcoming and we slept very well in the tents. The bathrooms are very clean and wi-fi is working ok in the comon areas. The swimming pool is nice. The restaurant serves food which is ok and they do not have selfcatering facilities.We paid by credit card and left in the morning early with one of their taxis. I would not recommand though to take the boat they recommend to go from Pangani to Zanzibar directly : the boat was not in good state, we think it was dangerous to take this trip for 4 hours on this boat and it was expensive (160 us $ for 1 bad boat).I highlyrecommend to spend a few nights in this hotel though !

A hidden oasis! I couldn’t recommend this place anymore it’s a real kept secret! The staff were so amazing and so accomdating. The food was delicious with a variety of local and internation options. But for me it was the views right out onto the beach, peponis is located right on the sea front.Sidenote there are also guys giving kitesurfing lessons there at the moment! They seem like real nice bucks!Will return again soon for sure

Excellent place for children, good food and facilities. Sadly, after I had paid the bill and left a large tip in the box, I had to wait a long time for my laundry, which then arrived wet.

A very nice place to relax!The beach is beautiful and clean and there ia even a small swimming pool, when there is low tide. We just been there for a day trip and didnt sleep there. If you are just coming for one day, there is no entrance fee. You just have to buy something to eat and something to drink. The place is in between of Tanga and Pangani and you can reach it by daladala (minibus) from both cities. Just tell the conductor that you want to drop at peponi. I would definitly recommend the place!

Sorry for my comment,wasnt happy with the language from so called manage@white lady.Only worship money but customer relationship was zero and very rude,kindly we advise her to be humble as we also not perfect but we came a long way to get better welcome and at the end we were irritating her on her job..........Try to improve the hospitality as accomodation has to go with the stars u clame to be given.Rgrds@The Siai
