Amazing and very nice team with delicious meals. We tried Swahili dinner with king fish (3 part plates) and tuna, sesame, avocado and mango with green beans. I also tried the supplement with spinach and nuts. (3 plates). Food service is efficient and fast. Very nice view on the balcony over the beach and sea. Prices are similar to other restaurantsWe came back 2 days ago to test the hot sea food platter for 2. Also amazing and excellent !Digne dβun bistronomique haut de gamme franΓ§ais !We strongly recommend this restaurant.
Each time I am in Paje itβs a must to have a coffee in the morning, some cocktails at sunset . My favorite soup in all Paje is the coconut fish soup or the mix seafood ..As local speciality me and my friend live the Swahili octopus curry .. very tasty, big and consistent. When I want something more light for dinner I will choose the yellow tuna with sesame. My advise is to order different dishes and taste everythingβ¦ I strongly recommend it for the atmosphere, fantastic staff like Linda and Josephine and the food and drinks.
The best food i had in Zanzibar so far (5 days). Swahili cuisine with a twist. The prices are a tiny bit higher than the other nearby restaurants, but i say that this is for a good reason. Friendly and fast service.Delicious starters and main dish. Quite large portions. The view is also amazing (dining is on the first floor). I will definitely come back
Nice but expensive. If you are not during the happy hour or choose a drink thats not included, you pay nearly double the price of other bars. The food is good but also pricey.
Weβve been looking for seriously good food on Sansibar for a while now and finally found this place in Paje that was offering not only super friendly service, but also serious food. Weβve had the Yellow fin tuna as a starter and were amazed! Also the main dishes looked great and also tasted like a real wonderful composition!Really recommend when looking for good food in paje beach!
An amazing experience. we were a group of almost 30 people and they catered for us very well, we ordered catch of the day and fish was delicious. the staff and the manager were very helpful and quick in preparing our tantalizing meals and making sure we were all taken care of. great value for the price we paid.
For a seafood restaurant its absolutely disappointing.Yeah its a great prime location with beach front and nice service but its definitely not about the food. The catch of the day which should be the staple dish ( it was Dorado in our case) was massively overcooked and so small, you can compare it with that Coquille St Jacques starter you had once at a fusion cuisine restaurant in London for Β£100.The previous day I had a linguine with half lobster which was so undercooked that you could barely get the meat out. You might say that its my fault I returned the next day. Perhaps youre right. On the second day, I noticed the linguine with half lobster ordered by other people around me. It had the same issues and you see people wondering whats going on with the dish. Seeing other people falling for it took me out of my catch of the day awe. The wine was the only one that kept delivering. The water we ordered at beginning finally came at the end when we asked for the bill. That was the last time I was there. The Mr Kahauwa near by has fantastic calamari and they learned well how to cook the catch of the day, be it tuna, red snapper or dorada. After that dinner we had a calamari starter at Mr Kahauwa that put a high note on the entire experience.
Very good food. Probably the best cocktails in Paje. Good service and nice lounge music. Expensive.
Great restaurant with definitely most delicious food on the beach. Yet it is quite expensive! And what is this absurdity to have to pay for WiFi?
Great place, the food it s amazing, not cheap but it s worth every cent. Probably the best in Paje. The staff also very friendly.Thank you.β€β€β€
Only had cocktails but loved them all. The frozen Daiquiri is spectacular
One of the best restaurants i ate at in my stay in zanzibar. They have excellent service and good food.I ordered the lobster lingune and it was just a delicacy.Loved the experience
Bad place, I didnt like the food, but maybe I ordered all 3 times not what they know how to cook. The seafood is not fresh, although strange. The price is much higher than around, which is generally not justified. Once a week there is a DJ, but it is not clear for whom, since no one visits this place (
Very good food, super high prices, good and slow service. The 3 stars is for the prices. If you are rich, ignore this rating.
Outstanding location, great service, and the sliced woodwork is amazing. We enjoyed the seafood platter. One of the remarkable things about Zanzibar is the difference in coast activities. As one moves north on the east coast, the beqch changes as does the activities. We love Bwejuu for is quietness and sunrise; Paje for its activities and sunrise; and Michamvi for its sunsets. Zanzibar Times.
Recently opened in February 2021 the bar/restaurant was over half finished when we arrived. The food is local Swahili and beyond exceptional. The manager(s) were courteous and afforded us a brief history of the establishment. The fish curry was absolutely incredible. The bar upstairs was very traditional. The kitchen was in view and the standards are very high. The decor is rustic and and wonderful with a great level of comfort. When we return to Zanzibar we will definitely drop by.
Good food, good atmosphere, nice view of the beach.Service was fast compared to Zanzibar, but it was pretty expensive.
THE place to eat lobster. You must go for the sea food plater.Thank you Fred for your hospitality.
Really good Tuna steak, good catch of the day, super cocktails. Nice late party on Wednesdays.
Very cosy and classy place. Tuna tartar is amazing.Thank you.
Attentive and friendly staff, nice and present owner, an insanely gifted chef, what more do you want. Prices are on the higher side but very much worth it.Also like the small menu. Every dish is something special, even simple grilled veggies are a piece of art taste-wise. Everything is so well balanced, not a single time I wanted to use any additional condiments.Nice furniture and a good beach view from up top are the dots on the i. Very much recommend this place. You can pay with credit card for 3% additional fee, too.
Nice place. Abit over priced compared to the usual prices in Zanzibar. Not that many food options. But we enjoyed the seafood soup and the king prawns were very tasty
Nice cocktail happy hour and really delicious tapas style snacks!
Oxygen is the most upscale dining experience in Paje. The seafood is so fresh and the service is on par with Western standards. The red snapper is one of the best seafood dishes I have ever had and the tuna with mango and avocado is unique blend of flavors that I had never before experienced.
The food was tasty, the atmosphere was nice ,good musicservice could be a litte better , there was some confusion with our orderthe waitress forgot to order our drinks, didnt know which dishes were missing in the kitchen
Great vibes. We really enjoyed the food here. Very nice chilled ambiance and staff is friendly welcoming. It is literally on the beautiful the breath taking beautiful Paje beach.
Nice music and party, but its a mission to order a drink
Not bad, but expensive and very poor service
During our stay in Paje we visited Oxygen several times. Love the food, drinks, atmosphere and stuff. We tired almost all positions from the card - ALL was delicious and perfect served!!:) Would recommend to order different dishes and share to try everything!:) Tuna tartare, tuna stek, fish curry and fried calamaries are MUST HAVE!!;) Definetely would come back - best restaurant we ate on Zanzibar!:) Asante sana!
In my opinion it is a little bit expensive for the quantity foodwise, but the quality was pretty good, especially on the cocktails/alcohol.
Excellent food and serving, probably the best Swahili curry in Zanzibar. Seafood plate was also amazing. If you pass by Paje, go and eat here.
Excelent seafood restaurant by the beach. Best food in Paje and Jambiani area. To highlight the quality of the yellow fine tuna. Cooking and presentation are amazing, and you can see the work of TOP professionals of the sector. The cocktails are also great, I strongly recommend the Mango Colada for sweet lovers. The service is kind, fast and warm.Thank you for the amazing experience!
All good, very nice vibe, very clean and new. I enjoyed the most French avocado tost and shrimp main dish
Amazing place, loved the interior design with a breathtaking view, well mastered cocktails, gourmet food and great service. One of a kind in Zanzibar. Would definitely go back
Worst house party ever. Very dirty place and very bad service. Avoid to go here. Got sick from food
Very nice place to visit, tasty food
The food was delicious though the portion was less but it was really delicious.

Aazingggg place
Good food, good views, good interiors and friendly service, the price is just a bit higher, but the pros counter this.
Nice place and good food. And now a little Polish: Abu Zanzibar (a local guide who speaks Polish) took us to the beach in Paje. He also recommended this restaurant to us. You can eat both seafood and other things on site. My wife ate fish in curry sauce, and I have mini burgers, I dont really like seafood. Fries can be ordered for children. Great service and a beautiful place with great views. There is a chillout zone on the ground floor. Very clean inside.
A magnificent setting and very good cuisine for a reasonable price in view of the services!Decent service for Zanzibar but still not up to European standard (waiting, etc.).
A must-see restaurant on paje with excellent cuisine, a breathtaking view of the ocean, very friendly staff but above all a big thank you to Geoffrey, the owner of the place for his welcome. Do not hesitate to go there!!
Just super delicious! Tapas to start & tuna or curry for the main course - but please leave room for the hearty dessert!π
Superb restaurant, magnificent view.We ate there 3 times and each time it was 1 treat! The waitresses and waiters are very friendlyπ
Very good restaurant, refined and hearty cuisine. Efficient service.
