Ive been in several different hotels in Zanzibar, and this is far the best by all criteria. Beaches of other hotels in Paje are crowded with annoying beach boys, boats and kite surfers, but not this one. Its quiet, its clean, rooms are clean, staff are amazing and kind. Its close to the most of attractions in Zanzibar. Kendwa and Nungwi are overcrowded, not case with Paje. Empty ocean, enough sunbeds for everyone. If youre asking me, go for this! :)
Be careful and do not mix this hotel up with a smaller one which is not so far away. This one is also called Khulala.Very nice and friendly people make your stay unforgettable. Comfy bungalows, clean and spacious. Very professional and ambitious manager. The food is one of the best in Zanzibar, the young chef Emauel is incredible! We enjoyed every minute and the hotel is highly recommended!P.S. Be careful if you walk on the beach to or from Paje on your own. We were almost robbed in the middle of the day...
The place including swimming pool is a bit old style and not well upkept. Nice relaxing beds at beach front. Spacious room but no seating or table inside the room. Hot water is way too hot and could scald. Free WiFi but quite slow. Lots of mosquitos in all areas. Breakfast is mediocre but a la carte is quite good. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Amazing place. I was amazed with how staff is kind and approachable. Paje is on the south-east side of the island which is affected with tides. Having pool is definitely a good thing. Room was always clean and towels replaced. You have everything in Paje, exchange office, local market street, supermarket, kite-surfing schools, night club etc.
Rooms are ok, but basic for the price. What was really annoying is that they made a booking on my credit card from A South African account in South African Rand which was 4 percent higher than the agreed rate. After some discussions the manger refunded us in cash. Very shady...
A nice place near the sea, with a swimming pool. Extremely helpful and professional staff. Not enough shade yet, since the place is newly open.
The bungalows dont have a mini bar and the breakfast is very poor. The pool isnt cleaned often.
So friendly , so clean ..The staff were amazing to us ... We loved paje..
The food is excellent.Great cool and quiet place for a getaway.
Nice and clean for Zanzibar standard, good location.

Very nice
Very nice
Best place ever in Zanzibar
Good
Fantastic!!!!!!!!
I did not like anything. It is a luxury hotel, quite expensive and everything was broken. The location on false booking, the water did not work. The empty pool and the tables around the pool broken. I booked a bungalow and they gave me a normal room. I could go on but it would be boring. In summary, I do not recommend it
The hotel itself is very comfortable and spacious, the staff at the hotel do everything to make your stay enjoyable. All are friendly and courteous, ranging from household personnel, waiters to hotel manager Rashid. The hotel is very clean, cleaning and arranging the room twice a day. The hotel has a large pool right next to the beach. At the beach you can do some fun activities. The main drawback of the hotel is the location, there is nothing near the hotel, a place to walk around. Take into account the ebb and flow of the sea. Between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, the sea moves away from the Depression and hundreds of meters are required to swim.
New resort, clean spacious rooms, quality mattresses in the beds. Friendly local staff. Price performance ratio is bad. Very basic breakfast, no idea, no variation. Average food quality at a high price. clean big pool.
Good accommodation. The breakfast could be better
