Neat little zoo. For 10$ per person you get to see turtles, chameleons, pythons, tiny antilopes, ostriches, crocodiles and a bunch of cute monkeys. You can touch and feed most of the animals (except for the crocodiles and pythons). The guide was great, shared a lot of knowledge of the animals. And she spoke very good english. We met a family with two small children there, and they seemed to really love the place. Even for us, two adults, the visit was great. Highly recommended. Be sure not to miss this place, if you are around.
Really nice Zoo!! I loved the monkeys because you can feed them and interact with them.We had the female tour guide she was really great!
Nice time there, entrance fee 200.000TSH per person. Could feel they do it for animals not for business only. Visit this rather than aquarium
Our guide Kennedy was very good, funny and nice. They take good care of resque animals
Very nice place, perfect for families. Staff is wonderfull! We spent very nice time there.
Really fun experience, cool selection of animals that you can interact with and feed. The cleanliness needs to be improved, especially the animals water. Also some of the enclosures could have been cleaner. These improvements would make this place much much nicer.
Amazing experience and the best memory we have from Zanzibar, Kennedy is an awesome guide who loves the animals he protects and takes care of ! He’s working hard so the people can learn more about the kindness and the greatness of the bush babies, monkeys and snakes !With Kennedy you’ll get the privilege to have a vip tour and to feel the love and respect he has for those animals.
Zanzibar kilosas conservation is very nice place ,there monkeys ( blue and vervety) crocodiles, chameleons, tortoises, pythons ,bushbabies,dick_dick(smallest antelope) etc , and most of animal of there they are kindly (friendly) you can feed and touch them as well . its worth to go there you will enjoy your holiday
This ZOO is a hidden treasure! We were allowed to touch and feed many animals (but just those that wanted to be reached, no pressure here) and our guide told us a lot about each of them. Although the concept of a ZOO may look bad to some, animals here are at least protected against poachers and some predicted locals, so we think that it deserves support from us tourists.
We really enjoyed our time here with our kids! Was a really nice experience. Thanks to Kennedy for making us comfortable to interact with animals!
Didnt expect to get to see this variation of animals ... it was such a nice experience
It is a unique experience. A “must” do in Zanzibar. Also our guide Keneddy was very kind and helpful.
Sharon monkeys make it worthwhile 👌
Fantastic place and professional staff
Interesting and funny but it shouldnt cost 10$.
Loved it and loved the guides
Nice zoo.
Not enough place whiteout sun (
Ok
English speaking guide
Friendly monkeys
Very excellent service
It is definitely worth a visit, as there is more contact and communication with monkeys and other animals than in all of Zanzibar. There is:CrocodilesPygmy antelopesChameleonsLemurNative and Seychelles turtlesBlue monkeysOstrichPythonCobraEspecially cool antelopes, funny monkeys, it is cool to feed an ostrich, and a chameleon with character and strives to leave)Entrance 20,000 did not come out to bargain (
Entry $10 per person is overpriced. There is a crocodile (who was sleeping), mini antelope, lemur, turtles, 2 kinds of monkeys, an ostrich, a python and a cobra. And that is all. If you have never been to a petting zoo, then you will be interested. We spent $5 at the spice farm with a 3-hour walk for a lot more emotions than at the zoo for $10 and 30 minutes.
A small zoo in the north of Zanzibar. Admission is $ 10 per adult per person. Even children over 7 years. Which surprised me for a family with two children over the age of 7, it seems to me a lot to give $ 40. On the other hand, you have a guide who takes puget herbs and then feeds the animals. Its a great experience where a monkey sits on your shoulder or you have a chameleon on your head. But a tiny zoo. But I recommend. 👍😉
An excellent tactile zoo, everyone can be touched, fed, played. Funny monkeys, especially Natasha.Entrance 20 thousand shillings or 10 dollars. Its better to pay in shillings, its more profitable that way. At the entrance you will be met by a guide who accompanies you around the zoo. Its not big, but its interesting. They also provide food for animals.
If you want to smile from the top of your lungs with emotion and delight when communicating with wild animals, which were previously seen only in the zoo behind a cage, then you are definitely here! Great place, very friendly and good English speaking guide. The entrance costs $ 10, which completely pays for itself!
We liked the mini-zoo very much, the guide named Kennedy spoke Russian well and spoke in detail about all the animals. The animals are not afraid to come close and take pictures, we saw crocodiles, ostriches, pythons, deer, chameleons, monkeys, lemurs, turtles. Entrance costs 20,000 shillings or $ 10.
Small, but nice zoo. The guide speaks good English and can explain a lot about all the animals. You literally step into all the animal enclosures. This allows you to feed and pet them. The monkeys jump on you when you have food, which is very funny. You can even look inside the cobra and pythons cage if you want. Highly recommended to go to this zoo! The passion for the animals is certainly present here.
The little one is not even a zoo, but a zoo. But it was still interesting.
Perfect place. The children were in ecstasy. You can go to animals and feed them (except for predatory ones, of course). Individual guide.
Great zoo. About the entrance price - do not read the reviews - we bargained cheaper. There are 2 chameleons, turtles, lemur, pythons, crocodiles, mini deer, guinea fowls, a bunch of monkeys (including those living outside the cage). I highly recommend monkeys! We enjoyed it immensely. The guide tells everything in English, answers questions, carries bananas for monkeys. Required to visit.I think if you bring bananas with you, you can get a discount. Just do not think that you can feed all the bananas to monkeys - it is harmful for them to eat so many bananas.
Not a bad zoo. There are 2 chameleons, turtles, lemur, pythons, crocodiles, mini deer, guinea fowls, a bunch of monkeys (including those living outside the cage). I highly recommend monkeys! We got great pleasure. The guide tells everything in English, answers questions, carries bananas for monkeys. Must visit.I think if you bring bananas with you, you can get a discount. Just dont think that you can feed all the bananas to monkeys - it is harmful for them to eat so many bananas.
Very nice place, monkeys sit on your shoulders, they can be stroked. Many other animals you can see.
A beautiful place where people really go out of their way is with heart and soul !! Admission is really worth the money. Can feed and touch the animals, all informal. Those who go on holiday in Zanzibar should definitely come here. A small private tour, just great. Many thanks to Kennedy, our guide. 😄😅😆🤗😙
Cool by Zanzibar standards. There are not many animals, but there is a guide who tells about everything. Some animals can be fed, especially monkeys are fun to feed - they are very friendly. If you are in Nungwa, be sure to visit. There is an aquarium with sea turtles nearby in a 5-minute walk. You can also feed them and swim with them.
A beautiful mini zoo, an amazing guide. A better experience than Jozani.
Augustine is the best guide on the planet! Zanzibar is a must visit 😘
Small zoo, good by Zanzibar standards. Some of the animals that got here are rescued. Many creatures can be fed or touched. I liked that animals that did not want to contact could hide (e.g., monkeys that did not want to communicate in the bushes). There is a turtle shelter a few minutes from the zoo, near the sea.
A tragic place! Animals live in scandalous conditions
Few animals, social monkeys love mango and corn))
A small zoo, there are few animals, the guide speaks a little Russian, the entrance price is 20,000, in my opinion its a little expensive, but you can feed the monkeys from your hands with a banana, give into the hands of a chameleon
Small zoo. There are dwarf antelopes, monkeys, turtles large and small, python, chameleon, Nile crocodile, ostriches
Very cool park, you can go to the monkeys and feed different animals. Do not spare donations - the guys are doing a good job
Interesting place, some animals can be fed and held. Its just a pity that there are so few of them. The guide spoke great English.
Expensive - 20,000. The guide speaks bad English, excursion in the style of with horns - a boy, without horns - a girl. Few animals.
Nice zoo, positive staff, some speak a little Russian, funny animals with which you can take a photo.
Small petting zoo. Everything is Primitive. 10 $ entrance. How expensive for me
The staff are friendly, very sociable. The staff speaks good English. Very cute animals, not tortured
Small zoo, possibility to use free time by the sea, the road to it very broken ....
Few animals, money wasted
The only downside - the airport in Zanzibar
Caution With Monkeys
I recommend
