They bring scooter on time, good service
The place is really colorful. Near the lighthouse. I was here at about 7:30, walking through the village, because the tide prevented us from walking along the shore. Without Google Maps, I would get lost in the narrow alleys of the slums. Near the market itself there are just mountains of rubbish. And the corresponding smell of fresh fish giblets (but definitely worth a visit, this is real, not tourist Zanzibar!Unfortunately, I did not buy anything, I could not even find out the prices - probably due to the fact that I came too late, only the fishermen who spoke Swahili remained, and they were absorbed in the dispute.
Very nice place, fish was bought every day. It should be bought from sailors on the shore and not in the market so the price is twice less. Fresh is good at an average of 20,000 shillings per fish of any size.
A very democratic and interesting place. Must visit. You can walk along the coast and along the village. The village is very colorful. They took lobsters, shrimps and octopus here. You have to ask. They mainly trade in fish. Bargaining is required (will not be respected) in spite of the prices. Better to come by 6 in the morning, it is the hottest here.
An experience to see the local fishery and management in Kenya / sale
Colorful place 😌
